@pantheorganizer if I’m using a spray tire and wheel cleaner, can I just pour the product in a foam cannon since it’s already ready to use or do I have to still dilute it?
@DownloaderVideo
@DownloaderVideo 9 ай бұрын
@@mr3xotic175I’m going to give you my opinion since Pam has not responded yet. Anything else apart from the soap before contact wash in a foam cannon is a waste of product since you will need to put it in relatively strong taking into consideration all the water coming from the pressure washer which will dilute your product. I use a foam sprayer like Pam did on the video….this is the most efficient way to apply any product that foams since your dilution will be final at your container so you will use less product contrary to a foam cannon that will introduce more water as explained before.

Great video. I love P&S Brake Buster for every week wheel and tire cleaning. 11 months later and I have no corrosion of my calipers or rotors on my 2022 Tesla MYLR. The Gtechniq W6 is my 4-6 week chemical to remove brake dust from my wife’s 2014 Mercedes GLK 350. W6 made her wheels look almost new when they looked horribly stained after 6 years. Magic. 😆

Hey Pan, im just getting into detailing. Having a lot of fun with it. I own a 2022 Audi S5 and a 2023 Volvo XC60 which is the car that got me interested in detailing. I originally purchased a few Chemical Guys products but never got the results I saw in their videos or that they claimed i should get. It was frustrating. I started watching your channel and have since purchased the products from your awards video. I really appreciate your expertise and recommendations. The P&S products in particular have been such a big upgrade. Their interior cleaner is fabulous. Just wanted to thank you for the content. Its really helped me a tremendous amount.

Hi Jeff! First, welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on KZbin as we surpassed 940,000 subscribers and we have over 123 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. Yeah Chemical Guys aren't really used in my videos, as there are much better brands out there in my opinion. Especially in their category of big box store general consumer type, Meguiar's, Turtle Wax, Adam's and Griot's Garage are all better in my opinion. And once you get into the more prosumer and professional grade stuff like CarPro, Gtechniq, Gyeon, DIY Detail, P&S, etc that's where the performance really is! By the way, I detailed a new XC60 in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqenc3Wbo82MfKM

@@PanTheOrganizer thanks it's really been helpful! The professional products really have made the difference. My S5 is my driving to work and back so it stays pretty clean. The Volvo is for when my wife and two daughters are with me so it gets more wear! I love the Volvo interior, it's really why I chose it, but lots of little spaces. Your video was incredibly helpful! My wife isn't as big on cars or maintaining them so my next task is detailing hers. I've been holding off a bit! It's a 2019 Suburban that we bought new and hasn't been detailed since. She has horses and spends time at the barn we board them at. It's not a mess with trash or stains and such but the interior needs help. I ordered the Bissell extractor so once I get it I plan on tackling the Suburban. It's huge so it could be a multiple day event! Thanks again.

No pressure washer, used P&S Brake Buster and Gyeon Wet Coat to finish., all the tools with the exception of the Vyper chair, EGO blower and the MetroVac Air Force Blaster Sidekick blower:. Used a leaf blower and finished with a microfibre cloth. Outstanding results!! But, I gotta get me a Vyper chair. I had to use a short bucket to sit on and now my back is complaining. Also, two bucket wash and towel dry.The car, 2024 Mazda 3, garnet red, first wash!! Thanks for all the helpful demonstrations.

Hi Pan, I just washed, Clayed, and dried my car today. Tomorrow morning, now keep in mind, it’s outside in my driveway? What would you recommend I do, before I polish it, with my DA MACHINE? I don’t have any deep scratches, very little in fact? I’m just going to do a polish with CAR PRO ESSENCE, before I put the Adam’s graphene coating, in my neighbors garage. My question is, should I wash the car again, before I polish it? I just ran out of time. Can’t wait to put this graphene on👍Thanks.
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
PREPARATION IS KEY before applying any ceramic coating. You'll likely have to wash your car again as it will have accumulated dirt from being outside all day and night. I would wash, iron remover, clay, machine polish (but I wouldn't recommend CarPro Essence if you're using a coating from another brand), just use a regular polish, then IPA wipe with a panel prep spray, and then apply the coating. Watch my tutorial on how to properly prep the paint and then apply the coating here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaK0iomgraukgZI See how I applied the Adam's coating in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5W4Zoupfbmdbbs

Adams air cannon is effective, also dog groom dryer can be effective. Many of the pet dryers filters so if you live in a sandy area *wink wink FL* wont be blasting that when drying off the tires. My wife is a pet stylist and one of her dryers is nearly identical to my Adamns air cannon jr. She payed less for it. I do try to keep the garage floor clean and driveway is paved. but the road that leads to our driveway isnt paved and some sand and seashells. I do like PnS break buster only because can get gallon size cheaper. I do like second place is the red Turtlewax wheel cleaner, but cant get that in gallon size so i just stick to PnS break buster unless the tires are really bad, then i found Red Turtlewax wheel cleaner does a great job. Like Pan showed there is many great wheel and tire cleaners out there. Use what is best in your budget and performance. Thanks again Pan!

Loved the video! Super informative, but I’ve used Brakebuster for a while both straight from the bottle and diluted a little bit, but for some reason as soon as the tires dry the browning is there without fail. Im a little confused since the tire is clearly clean and tire dressing covers up the browning just fine, but I’m unsure if I’m doing something wrong. Same thing happens on brand new cars with new tires and older rubber too :(
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
Weird. When you are scrubbing, do you get to the point where the foam is white? That's when you know you fully degreased the tires and you should have no more brown blooming (ozonites in the tire). Some tires generate more ozonites than others and when those chemicals migrate to the tire surface, they oxidize and brown. That could be a tire related issue as well.

So comprehensive. Awesome info as usual. I've seen videos and comments out there that using Hydro2 Lite, and similar, on wheels is potentially leading to problems? The particular video I'm thinking of had Obsessed Garage chime in in the comments and they said you need be careful over using it, it can actually lead to collection of more dirt or something etc? Is this video here of your suggesting that you use Hydro2 Lite as part of your routine every time you do your tire maintenance? You have any thoughts on this?
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 6 ай бұрын
I have never seen any evidence of a spray on rinse off sealant leading to "problems". They are meant to be used on all the exterior surfaces of the vehicle, including painted surfaces, wheels, glass, trim, lights. I have been using things like CarPro HydrO2 Lite and Gyeon WetCoat for years to maintain wheels and never had issues. It actually makes cleaning of the wheels much easier, and you maintain the wheel coating beneath to optimal performance. This is not something you'd apply every week though. Once a month or every other month is good enough, as HydrO2 Lite and WetCoat typically last 1-3 months.

Does deep cleaning the tires shorten the life of the tire? I heard that using strong chemicals removes UV protection. Thank you for the great content!

I have seen zero evidence of tire cleaners that shorten the life of the tire. And this is in 27 years of detailing. What can cause rotting and premature wear of tires is cheap solvent based dressings. If you used quality dressings from reputable brands, you are actually helping the tire to have a longer lifespan. Hard to say as I don't see the wheels and don't know what caused them to be caked in dirt or possible brake dust. Brake Buster is great for light to moderate levels of dirt. Do you clean the tires until you see white foam? That's when they're clean. Also, browning or blooming often comes form the ozonites in the rubber, that migrates to the surface and oxidizes when in contact with air and rusts hence the brown color. Some tires eject ozonites more than others so it could be a tire issue too.

My method is the following: 1. Spray CarPro Iron X for iron decon. 2. Pump-spray P&S Brake Buster (1:10) while the wheel is still dwelling with CarPro Iron X. 3. Contact wash: the tire with a tire brush, the rim with a soft detailling brush and the barrel with these long brushes. 4. Rinse. 5. Apply a protective hydrophobic coating while the wheel is still wet. I use Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax or Gyeon WetCoat. I and I get awesome results. Super clean wheels. I use a 40 degree tip to wash the car and wheels. Personal preference. For the orifice, you have to select what size is needed for your specific pressure washer as it varies greatly from one to another, also what desired flow (gpm) and pressure you want (psi). My high end Kranzle pressure washer is rated at 1400 psi and 2.1 gpm, so to maximize flow, I use a 4.0 or 4.5 orifice to get 1000 psi and that 2+ gpm of water output.
