The short does something pretty unique for its kind. It starts out as a "look at this dumb baby haha" story, but continues on to give Pipi more emotion and move him to the receiving end of the cartoon's sense of humor instead. Every aspect of the production phenomenally serves to make you feel Pipi's annoyance. ...The show then switches back at the last minute to "idiot hero" comedy in, like, the darkest way possible. We need more F's in the chat for the princess and her father. Edit: Oh, oh wow... I think we have enough F's now, everybody

the shear amount of detail in this is so great. for example: each princess is an animal that would eat the animal that is its captor (other than the first and last one) the story at the beginning mirrors the actual story the FUCKING CAT HORSE and how it lands on its feet the sound effects from different things (animal crossing noises, car noises for the dragon, stone moving for the moving of locations) the meme comedy the subtle 3d elements, such as the horse, minotaur’s head, and title card the dragon is dressed up for something (lesbian???????????) pipi’s hand and arm becoming realistic (door knocking, slapping the sheep) the fact pipi isn’t bothered by the cat skull, but the spider

In all seriousness Pipi is actually ridiculously powerful, having an insane amount of durability, strength, stamina, and speed. He was able to withstand being crushed completely under the foot of a giant which most likely weighed around 10-20 tons, getting a horseshoe thrown forcefully into the back of his skull, along with being flung into multiple walls, all without slowing or showing any serious injury. Feats of stamina and speed include - rapidly running up numerous steps without tiring, and carrying an entire dragon all the way home by sprinting. Along with stamina he seems to be able to manipulate space time and move thousands of miles in seconds 3:40 4:17, to cover distance quickly without even moving from his spot. His main feat of strength is carrying an entire dragon, but i guess slapping a princess so fast she wasnt visible for more then 2 frames also counts, also he was able to dig through presumably stone without being slowed even slightly 4:35. The only thing Pipi lacks in is intelligence, which is made up for by his incredible luck. Over all a formidable opponent who could be mountain level on the power scale, possibly much higher if manipulating the fabric of the universe could be used offensively.

Also gotta love the fact that, you could kinda tell from the start, pipi was literally only using the crown to tell which princess was which. So despite all the evidence the real princess was long dead, he truly thought a dragon tangled in drapery with a crown on its nose was the princess. I first expected him to see the crown on sheep princess and bring her back, but he knew better. And also, was it so wrong of me to think “maybe the real princess was cursed to be the dragon and the dead princess was a decoy and pipi is actually being really smart right now!”

I don't know if this joke was intended, but it's funny none the less. In the beginning of the short, we see the Cat King talking to Pipi in normal english, but at the end Pipi talks to the dragon in an animal crossing like speak. Which leads me to believe that the Cat Kingdom does speaks normal english, but Pipi just talks in complete gibberish to everyone else. I can't tell if that's what the plan was, but it fits Pipi's character so well.

Really a fan of all the small gags that happened! Like when Pipi goes to knock on the door with his huge muscular arm, then to proceed to politely knock. The animation was so smooth and clean, and the voice acting was surprising and well done! (was truthfully expecting either animal crossing noises or just no talking, but it was a pleasant surprise!) I watched this all the way through and now I've gone back several times and paused and gone through frame by frame to enjoy all of the spectacular detail. The windmill having cat ears? The cathorse having little toe beans? The SINGLE dog in the cat city? Even the shine on the intro title? I love it. This is a beautiful, fantastic animation with an amazing comical story and I love it. I love you Pipi!

@@alvinip9128 Well the Sheep Princess is definitely ok despite a mild concussion. Owl and Chameleon Princess should be fine if they're able to get out of their restraints. Since they didn't put up too much fuss about Pipi leaving I'd guess they can get free eventually. Under the rules of comedy it's even possible that the Mole Princess survived. The Cat Princess is most definitely dead though. The one genuinely creepy moment in the animation. We went from Comedy to Horror and then to Black Comedy.😁

Probably realized his daughter's fate as soon as his soldiers found her crown. Saddest part of the whole thing is it's clear that his own soldiers were more than capable of taking down the Dragon. If only he sent them on the quest instead of posting a Help Wanted sign and waiting.

I love the windup to the knock here at 5:24, his arm gets gigantic only for him to let out the most gentle two knocks. Not only that, but I love how here at 6:12 when he's examining the princess' remains, it's the black widow spider that freaks him out. Overall, I feel this short film does an excellent job of solidifying how Pipi takes the hero archetype and exemplifies it in all the wrong ways. It reminds me of this quote I heard in a video once. "Courage is not bravery, courage is ignorance, dancing blindly with arrogance." He's so confident in his quest that he disregards everyone else. Even the threat of death doesn't sway him. He is a force of nature XD Outstanding job by everyone who worked on this animation!
