Really? That’s cool - it’s a great drink! Have you tried it with Campari? Did you try the original recipe with Amaro Nonino? If so, which do you prefer..?
@bsidgwick5 жыл бұрын
@@StevetheBartender_ Hey mate, nice to hear from you. I haven't tried it with Campari yet, might give that a go tonight! I generally prefer Aperol over Campari in drinks but keen to try everything at least once! So far I've made it with Montenegro (amazing liquor that one) and Averna. Prefer the Montenegro but pleasantly surprised by the Averna. That's also a great liquor, not so impressive on it's own but comes alive in a cocktail. Nonino is next Amaro on the shopping list (can't wait), I will definitely let you know what I make of it as a comparison.

Just try to double Strain folks to avoid lots of little ice shards from ruining the mouth feel/ texture and adding unnecessary dilution to the cocktail. Great drink,great vid 👌

I just made a riff on this. I call it the Paper Panga (for those that don't know, a panga is a boat used by fishermen in the carribean and south america). I used Rye, El Dorado Rum, Campari, lime juice, Symple syrup, and floated a dash of mole biters. I also float a thin full lime slice on top. Feel free to try, let me know if you can do something better with it. Would love to know.
@stephane.foisy.1865 жыл бұрын
Hmm 🤔 next time I’m in the mood for a paper plane I will try it with Montenegro to compare it to Nonino. I did try with Campari and I did enjoy it, got close to a boulevardier. Honestly both Aperol and Montenegro should be perfect 👌

Hey Steve so while cooking I decide to try and replicate a cold mulled wine with no wine. Try it out! 30ml Aperol 30ml any decent Gin Bar spoon of brown sugar 5-10ml of apple cider vinegar 3 dashes of Angostura bitters Pinch of nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Depending on the gin the vinegar will need to change in volume. Forgot to mention will be shaken into small wine glass, Enjoy!
