"Become the holy potato", I would totally wear a t-shirt with that motto, Forrest! Thanks for the progression. I haven't been able to go beyond the tranquil breath yet, but the journey has been very interesting! Blessings and blissings!

Thanks a looot!! Those videos and your book are beign very helpful for me!! I have been initiated in Kriya some months ago, but I was struggling a lot with a with many things that you are easily explaining and clearing up! Thanks thanks!! And one funny syncronicity, I also love and study indigenous spirituality, from the Amazon, and one of their most advaced practices is a dieta you go into: you eat very specific light foods, you don't speak during the process, and you have to be isolated, in a kind of meditative state, always directing your thoughts to positive principles. During that Dieta, the initiated should consume "Muka", wich is a master plant, that is not psychoactive on it's own, but coupled with the spiritual procces of the dieta, it guides the student into profound states. So, the funny part, is that Muka is indeed a potato! They often call it the "Holy potato"! 😁😁 It's a profoundly respected plant, and I find it great that you aso use this metaphor for the yogic proccess!

Just ordered your book, can't wait to receive it Monday. I also noticed you have another " yogic meditation method" or something but I put that in my cart for next pay day. Thank you so much! I have a Friend who is interested in meditation and gives me the "I can't quiet my mind" excuse. I'm going to point him to your new work. I'm sure it will help him tremendously. God's love and goodness always!

Another take on this; Para means beyond and avastha is state, so the state beyond. Beyond meaning beyond Prakriti where Purush is. That state is kaivalya in samkhya and in kriya Lahiri baba called it kriyar ki paravastha-the state after kriya.

For me I get to a point where my body does not exists anymore. The mind is lost gone somewhere on vacation. Only a bright light exists within myself. Senses are obliterated. Sometimes in such a state I just hear OM chants in the background . Nothing matters anymore at this state.

Hi Forrest, first time commenting after going through a lot of your older videos the past few months. Your guidance has been incredibly useful as I work my way through the SRF lessons and attempt to deepen my meditation. I do however have a major obstacle in my way, which is a severe chronic pain condition that prevents me from sitting upright during meditation. I know that posture is very important(often emphasized in the lessons) but at this time I simply cannot sit upright. Can you offer any advice for someone who is forced to meditate in a supine position? I encounter all the typical issues with being in this position (mainly drowsiness/ difficulty concentrating). I would be deeply grateful to hear any thoughts you may have on this.

Without a connecting the body’s system with the vertical pillar far outside the body, there is no paravastha.

Hello Forrest! Not sure if you are still responding to comments but i have something urgent to ask you. So ive been doing kriya and recently in a middle of it i would get pressure in the heart area and afterwards it would feel like needles pinching my skin all over the body. What would you say is causing this? An underlying health condition? Im not sure what this is. What would you say might be the cause of this? Thanks in advace and as always looking forwards to more videos!

Do you remember when you were a kid and you trained yourself to burp at will? That's what I want you to do. So before you do your meditation make sure to do two or three rounds of Navi. Then do your meditation as usual. Then when you get this sensation I want you to try and burp. See if this will release the pressure through the ventral vagal. Let me know how this works for you in 2 or 4 weeks.

Namaste Forrest ji. Do you think that having boundaries in our personality is important when we act in our day to day life? I have felt that people tend to hurt or missuse one who shows his compassionate side. But sometimes I think that it would be wrong if i don't act with love and compassion. What do you think?

I recently decided to explore your techniques after coming from SRF. I find myself just sitting in a meditation with my mind wandering. There seems to be this resistance to following the practices as prescribed. Thoughts?

Forrest do you think that what we eat and how long we fast before meditating ( usually wait 1 hour 20 minutes after esting to meditate but when i do longer is always better) is important? Obviously yes but what kinds of foods make the mind restless or i think you said something about drinking a cup of tamarind every day for the third eye
@ForrestKnutson
@ForrestKnutson 10 ай бұрын
Yes it is very very important and I recommend in my book that we cut down on carbohydrates especially, which will cause the breath to be shorter. If we can fast for 3, 6, 12, or 16 hours before our best meditation time then we will notice a dramatic increase in the length of our breath.

I have friends who describe this "Paravasta" state as being guided by a Guru (Guru is not live). Are they really being guided by the Guru or are they leading themselves?

Forest have you ever heard of Dr Joe dispenza? I find your work and his to be very similar save the fact that you elaborate and teach much more thoroughly...with that being said have you ever considered making a video comparing your style to his...I see so many similarities with your work and his , seeing that you both teach from a very scientific point of view...I'd say you two get more results with people doing successful meditations then most other KZbin teachers I've seen.. truly you are a guru and I'd be blessed if you could be mine..God bless
