Wakanda oil! 🤣🤣🤣 Water. H2O. When I tell people I wash 2 to 3 times a week, they look at me like I’m insane...but they love my hair. 😑 Listen to Dickey. His rules work! Even for us 3c/4a curls and coils💁🏾.

He said and nut cream😂😂😂 ai subscribed on that alone. I washed my hair every day in HS and every bg was like....ommmmmmigosh....you are so white.....un huh.....with my hair down my back. But keep those braids in for 6 months unwashed.....it's doing WONDERS for that chicken head😒

I'm a 3b and I am drawn to ALL the Type 4 videos. They can do so many styles. Me, wash and go only. The same look every day. Oh WAIT, I can change where I part my hair. :) Type 4 texture is so beautiful! So stylish, gorgeous hair. We're never satisfied with what we have. So, I am going to stop being envious and appreciate what God has given me. This is easier said than done. I am a work in progress. Love your videos ♡

Can't get better TRUTH anywhere! Thank you for always taking the time to break it down to bite sized portions for us. Never thought I'd get my hair past my shoulders. Now it's down my back and stretching to my bum. It's probably not a shock to you but it's incredible to me. Waist length and super kinky coilly type 4 hair is AMAZING to me. #TheTruthTeacher 💛

Appreciate how you broke down the fact that hair will grow regardless if it’s 1abcd or 4abcd. If you commit to moisturize and condition your kinky, coily hair, it will grow. I’ve worn my hair in protective styles for the past year (wig and now two strand twists). It grew 8”. It takes patience but it’s worth it.
@selenabrown81236 жыл бұрын
Jay Brown sane here girly, all I wear is protective styles and that’s a twisted up bun .. I may wear a wash and go every once and a while .. 95% of the time it’s twisted up and by keeping my hair regimen simple , my hair has flourished. It’s now tailbone length . Our hair honestly likes to be left alone ... Eating right , drinking plenty of water and keeping our strands moisturized is key .... along with keeping our scalp and hair cleansed ..... and don’t forget patience ! 😊
@jennid20536 жыл бұрын
And I've been doing the opposite with wash n go's and the occasional twist out and yes it still grows just fine. I take care of it appropriately and it rewards me by staying on my head lol.
@1GoldenBreeze6 жыл бұрын
JenniD I'm with you wash n go's 95% of the time and 5% twist out, or bun. So far it's at WL, and is healthy.

Fantastic 2 part video! Much success to you and your team out on the west coast! I appreciate the time you take as a busy stylist and business owner to give us your knowledge and experience reguarding highly textured hair. The advice you give here on KZbin has been game-changing for my type 4 kinks and coils. Wash n go's save me so much time. Redoing them daily if need be isn't the burden I thought it would be. Your approach to hair care is much needed. Thank You!

Fantastic video! Thank you for the information. I love the way you break down how hair care differs from one texture to another. I've been natural my entire life, I've never had a perm and never coloured my hair. Out of convenience, I wore braids and crochet braids and learned how to do them myself. I would always stay away from water and try to stretch my style for as long as possible. I wondered why my hair simply was not growing. But watching your videos, I completely turned my hair care and styling around opting for a wash and go styling and really paying attention to the moisture in my 4b-4c hair texture. I have never seen my hair so strong, moisturized, soft and healthy!
@hairrules6 жыл бұрын
We're glad to make a difference in your journey to natural hair care! You can still wear braids, but moisturize well as you're doing now and never more than 4 weeks :)

My ole man used to refer to my type hair as bad hair but his eyes have come open since I have been following dickeys hair rules. Nowhe refers to it as curly and can not keep his hands out of my co washed coily fro. I blow dried it for the first time all summer is arm pit 4bc. My daughter is tri-racial with waist length hair my hair grows just as fast if not faster than hers. I big chopped twice and my hair gets close to matching her length she is 3bc. I realize a blow out is enough heat. My hair does grow about a half inch per month. My point is everything Dicky says is the truth. I wish he would make gallons for us who take our hair into the shower almost daily.
