FYI, Billie has said on multiple occasions that the reason she doesn’t say what her songs are about _to her,_ is because she wants people to interpret them however they want to. I love how open minded you and your Dad are!!! You have a lot of good outlooks on it! It’s concepts yes....also like you said. But she has suffered from sleep paralysis too (I believe that’s what she said in an interview or maybe she’s done research or knows someone with it) which plays a part i.e. “The debt I owe gotta sell my soul, cause I can’t say no I can’t say no, then my limbs all froze and my eyes won’t close, no I I can’t say no no I can’t say no” she is awake but asleep (sleep paralysis) like when your in a dream and you can’t move or scream... (my personal experience) night terrors etc... I’m using a lot of what I get from it and my experiences that I can relate to, or she could be talking about where do we go when we die... 🤷🏼♀️ and she could be talking about something totally different! Like you said everybody’s outlook is different…I think lol she also says it’s about a monster under the bed like you said which is herself speaking to herself, I saw her on another interview where she spoke about it being about a monster under the bed, and Billie and her brother Finneas, who do all the writing and producing 50/50 together ( so cool) used a lot of art and imagination like she threw out a few of the old classic horror movies and the movie “The Babadook” and the show “ AMS” etc... in a lot of interviews where she speaks about certain subjects (and a lot of my own points of view, just so we’re clear) 😂 (I could be totally wrong about a lot of this but I have also have heard her say a lot of those references in interviews) battling her “good self” against her “bad self” also kinda in my point of view, AGAIN I MAY BE WRONG!! Lol in the video “All the good girls go to hell” “My Lucifer is lonely is lonely “ and my point of view is it’s like you start out all innocent and young and have an “angel” and “devil” on your shoulder and then she started so young or anybody, any artist/person, and then turn into what the industry/society wants you to be, the angels going telling you what you’re supposed to do, (right/good things) and the devil/Lucifer telling you ( no no do this it’s bad but it feels/looks good) I don’t know if that makes sense LOL but that’s what I get out of it. My own personal point of view. That’s why I love her so much! She can relate to so many different generations and people and make you feel not alone like you said. I’m 42 years old and have been through a lot and survived I feel like a warrior thank you God! But her lyrics I can relate to like they’re my own… My own feelings and thoughts and experiences and suffering and loss etc. and it also relates to so many different people I take it as a positive because I’m misunderstood a lot but it’s like I can explain myself myself through her lyrics LOL I know weird right but I’m a weirdo and I love it!Look up all her interviews on the Howard Stern clips on KZbin she explains a lot of things and talks about sleep paralysis and “All the good girls go to hell” and that it’s not literal it sounded cool at the same time it’s about global warming and about how man is ruining this planet. And in “ All the good girls go to hell” she says “ Look at them needing me you know I’m not your friend without some greenery “money“ Walking wearing fetters (shackles) Peter should know better ( biblical quote but not completely literal). Your cover-up is caving in man is such a fool why are we saving him? Poisoning themselves now begging for our help wow!“ She was actually raised in a church choir that’s how she started her singing… She’s actually saying once the water starts to rise and Heaven’s out of sight she’ll want to devil on her team... there’s nothing left to save now… Etc. She’s not talking about the devil (almost positive) taking over she’s talking about man ruining this planet and global warming yes, Like you said. Look up her interviews, a good few on Howard Stern on KZbin explains a lot. Yall are awesome!

If you're not super religious but you say you believe in god some advice to you just stay away from music or at least protect your ears and I'm not talking about it as in curse words I'm saying any song. Orlando Shelly that’s your opinion and I’m not dogging you.... his son is trying to show his dad the talent and art they have and have had from a very young age... she suffers from anxiety and depression (I think) that’s what she said... but this is her outlet! Her whole family is completely against drugs and completely green and all about saving the planet! How can that be bad? It doesn’t mean it’s all completely literal. Do some research on her listen to some of her other songs so you can appreciate her beautiful voice. I.E.the cover of Michael Jackson’s bad and Rob Dickinson’s the end of the world… On KZbin live she’s a very talented young woman and her and her brother collaborate so well together and have such a great imagination! My opinion. We all have them that doesn’t make us wrong or right but when we start being mean and saying terrible things about someone we have no idea who they are and what they’ve been through or what they haven’t been through and what they’re trying to do to help people that doesn’t solve any problems in my opinion. Billie Eilish is an old soul... she understands life and all it's trappings and dysfunctions better than most adults. She expresses these things through her music and artistic talent. She was born to do this. There is nothing evil about her or what she's doing to try and bring these messages to the world. God uses us in many ways, on many different levels, and sometimes among the multitudes of people.

the question "when we all fall asleep where do we go" refers to herself bc she always has dreams and then they happen the next day so she wants to know where she goes when she falls asleep to have those dreams and at 7:51 when she says "my limbs all froze and my eyes wont close and i cant say no i cant say no" she talks about her sleep paralysis, something i also suffer from and it's fooking scary mate, fooking terrifying and also it was recently found out that when she says "i wanna end me" she is talking about herself, sadly, also when she says "honestly i thought that i would be dead by now" she was refuring to herself bc she didnt think she would make it to 16 bc of her depression and suicidal state, its so sad to think that people actually deal with this type of stuff :( also the whole song is from the perspective of the monster under the bed, she set herself as the monster

In my point of view this is about a person who sleeps then her soul becomes something else. When we sleep where do we go. This is an answer to that question. The soul is so deadly that it wants to bury a friend and the friend is you own self. This is all about an answer to a question. Billie describes the person as herself but when she is sleeping. Her soul takes over and doesn't rest.

Death is like sleeping, we don't hear, see, or barely feel anything. Therefore, how would you know where you're going when you die?? That's why she asked the big question, "When we all fall asleep, where do we go?" Because like I said, death IS sleeping because we don't know where we are or what's happening. I understand it as soon as i saw it b/c i was there...mingle and mixing with the spirit of depression, anxiety, angry which follows by the spirit of death. Pastor so says it’s about accepting “herself”. Those aren’t ourselves those are the negative entities that entices our being those are outside of us. It’s our choice whether we ingrain them within our being or not. I’m grateful that I allowed the Holy Spirit to interject.

It's interesting to watch this alongside "Real Priest Reacts to" the same song. It's apparent that the Pastor has literal interpretation of the Bible and seems to take the lyrics on their face in the same literal way, rather than seek out the deeper metaphorical meaning. She is talking about losing her soul to the music industry. It's a meditation on losing your true self (the artist) to the commercial music industry to sell songs.

I don't want to get into the details but overall, I think the dark imagery with dark lyrics actually shows signs of awareness of the time that we live in and how so much darkness inevitably fits into the era that is what's biblically considered the end game. Those that portray fears, that feel alone, that have crude humor, feel a sense of belonging with self deprecating people, they subconsciously know a whole lot more than a lot of people do and they don't even realize it's their depression's main drive.

She does a cover of Rob Dickinson‘s 2008 song “The End of the World “ a English/Norfolk (Alternative rock, Shoegazing) performer. It’s live and you get the true feeling of how beautiful her voice is and how much her brother and her colab so beautifully... And she’s wearing a Freddy Krueger shirt so how much cooler can she get LOL! Anyway, when you do pull it up there will be several... I recommend you read the lyrics first and then watch her sing it live in the studio. Finneas is playing the piano and she’s sitting on a stool with headphones on. The emotion they put into their music grabs my soul in a great, great way!! She’s got this angelic voice that just makes your heart smile! Well mine anyways LOL I know that the first few times I watched it and saw how they preformed it and how it sounded, The first few times I watched it I cried like a baby because it was so beautiful! AND IM NOT A CRYER!!! Lol They’re voices compliment each other’s and they are so in sync! Trust me you will not regret it! Give it a shot!

Either he knows more than he's letting us know (our talk is something that shouldn't be said out loud) or... he doesn't.

Please react to Tom MacDonald "Church" great song about the battle of faith verses pain as a man who struggles and needs help since the devil exists to kill, steal and destroy.

Apparently the monster is the music industry...and she's trying to not be what the industry wants her to be

No that is not it...the MV actually talks about sleep paralysis...mostly it's about that but then again its open to several interpretation cuz that is art all about.

Let the pastor give his honest opinion! I bet he has a lot of wisdom to share. I do love this song but I mean yall are blind lol.. I really don't think it's about "accepting yourself". She straight up talking about selling her soul for fame.

Oml it's not about the dying process, it's about her sleep paralysis. And I've heard that it's also about how she feels like a monster sometimes. Of. Course I'm not in her head so I wouldn't know completely.
