Actually the odd thing would be to host it again. Only two countries have hosted it twice since '66 and that's if you count Germany and West Germany as one country. Of the other 11 countries, 8 were hosting for the first time.

From a Media point of view Danny is right, it is a free holiday for him... but as a fan, there was no greater feeling as a child than being able to watch Italy at EURO 96, it's not just about England, there are so many European nationals that live in England that loved 96 and 21, we may have seen the stadiums but some people have never seen their national team play, when England travelled around the country for qualifiers when Wembley was being built that was a master stroke by the FA! Imagine the tag line was 'Not Messi, but the Argentinians did it on a Tuesday night in Stoke!' 👏🏻 'Germans running riot down on the south coast!' 👏🏻 some of these headlines would write themselves 😂 we've missed out massively if it doesn't come here for another 20 years!
