I was visiting Spa Excess coming from NY a few years ago. I loved the diversity of the clientele. Both times I went, I was quickly approached by guys who invited me in right away. One of them was a hot Vietnamese bisexual man who grabbed my hand and took me to his room 10 min after I arrived there. Unlike the unfriendly and cold gays in NY, I loved the friendly men in this place. I'd love to return to Toronto soon, now that pandemic has subsided...

I had the chance to visit Steamsworks and Spa Excess. Spa Excess seems to have more wood infrastructure that made it seem a bit older but still clean and sanitized. One of the bartenders is cuban so having an Spanish speaker there was a plus for me. Definitely the size with 4 floors, don't really remember and having a lot of bedrooms, playing room with glory holes are fun and yes the shower, sauna and jacuzzi are great. Found it less expensive (nothing in Toronto is cheap) than Steamworks and more type of people going there. This became my favourite bathhouse in town.

Patrick, if you remember I told you on a previous video I went to Spa Excess way back in the early 2000's and even back then it was a 5 out of 5. You are correct, it has a different "no attitude" feel that almost no other bathhouse can seem to replicate. When I went I noticed that the clientele did seem to be on the younger side which was what I was looking for. They also have a couple of other features you forgot to mention. (not sure if they still do) but if you had a US passport, they would allow you to have in and out privileges. So when I went, I used it as my hotel. Another thing is, if you need to be discreet, your credit card bill always shows up as "Auntie M's guesthouse".....NOT Spa Excess.....lol.

I have been going there since they opened twenty three years ago. It is the best building with all the amenities. The renovation was because of the fire not covid. I only have a few complaints, the shower, hotub area is way too hot and very poor air circulation. The AC which they are trying to improve does not work in the shower area. The temperature on the wall is around 93 and the second floor is a beautiful 21. Unfortunately the shower, hotub AC area did not get a renovation. Another problem is guys make the shower water to hot and this adds to the heat. I would suggest setting in at a cooler temperature of water so it never can be turned to hot. The hotub also is sometimes to hot but recently it has been better. All the TV's are from when they opened and need an upgrade to full HD. I also hate the fact that there is no license to drink on the patio in the summer that is a drag. A small bar up there is needed for the summertime. Sometimes the music is way to loud it's always repetive bullshit. I wish there would just play a radio station like Q107 or any current song list. The roof needs to be covered to keep it cooler in the summer on the top floor. Smoking crack and meth is allowed on the patio but not under the roof so that's definitely a plus. I also love that they don't check bags so it's very easy to bring booze inside. I don't Iike that I can't go out for a break and come back in for eight hours. They think everyone is going to buy drugs this attitude needs to change as well as non inclusivity to other genders. They don't even have welcoming nights for other LGBTQ people. The events are all the same as twenty three years ago. They don't seem to change with the times. I also miss the kitchen, food is many times better than sex haha. Eight hours is a long time when all your offered is hot dogs can soup and bars and chips. I wish at least better quality food was available. We are paying top dollar and as customers we deserve all the changes I mentioned made. One more thing about staff, most are friendly and nice. Some of them have bad attitudes. When a customer complains they tend to support the staff rather than the customer who is offended.

Love spa excess. There’s nothing like it! Very different vibe than steamworks, the other spot I hit up whenever I’m in the T-dot. There use to be a place down the way and around the corner from spa excess and I can’t remember the name or if it’s even still around. I miss Toronto. I ALWAYS meets fun and friendly guys!

Hmmm, to be honest, not really. A complete virgin would be better maybe choosing someone they know and doing it somewhere they know. I feel like they would need to be with someone who they can trust to listen to their needs. As for someone who hasn't had sex in ten years... that person could go to the bathhouse. It might be a good way to 'break the seal' and get back into it after so long.

Common Spa Excess enough excuses. What am I referring to? Third floor shower room. It's been closed for almost a year and as I always get a room on the third floor I and many others have to walk down two flights to shower. Why have you not fixed the problem? One more point. The bathroom on the third floor smells and never really clean.

I think that the host of Toronto Jacks at Spa Excess, the old pot bellied bald guy with all the back hair, is terrible. He seems selfish and hogs the hottest guys for himself. He also seems selective because he will give his contact information to the guys he plays with but not others. He also seems to get jealous easily. He ruins the group so that it’s no fun and ought to retire. I think that the staff and management at Spa are absolutely rude also. They are known to become extremely rude, angry, and aggressive with patrons for next to no reason. Patrick, I must disagree with you on this one. For its extremely rude and arrogant host and service, I give Spa a well-deserved 0 stars out of 5.

I could understand how you'd feel like this kind of place could be a magnet for STI's. The greater reality is that you can catch any STI in any establishment where people hookup or meet before hooking up at another location (i.e. meeting in a bar, and then having an encounter at one party's private home). With some awareness and forethought, personal health and safety can be preserved in any location (a bathhouse, adult book store, s$x club, etc).

Patrick, I think you're handsome and all, but I just attended #SpaExcess just week ago, and I want them shut down permanently for what happened to me. I used to love this place being "men only" (years ago), but after a guy choked me hard (not into that) and security did nothing, plus allowing trans in (identify as "male" when they're not/missing penis) . . . Okay, I'm done. I feel like this just sh*t all over what I used to love, and I don't do scat (eww/yuck/are you nuts?). To all that actually go, follow, and read this . . . BOYCOTT #SpaExcessToronto for very loose security. If they allowed #BruceMcArthur in, what does that tell you?
