FunFact the RainForest cafe in the movie that you were suprised by is a real restaraunt. Although a lot of them have closed down within the past decade, there is still a few left. But the entire restaraunt is done up to feel like your are dining in a real rainforest. It's full of life sized animal animatronics that make animal sounds and move (gorillas, tigers, monkeys, elephants and lots more), birds hanging from ceilings, giant exotic fishtanks, fog machines, waterfalls, ect. The entire restaraunt is also covered in tropical plants on walls and celings to make it seem you are actually in the rainforest. Another cool thing is that every 22 minutes, it "storms" It will start to thunder and the lights will flash like lighting and all the animals will go crazy. Theres lots of videos on the internet to check out if you're interested. It was such a fun place to go to dinner for me growing up. It's sad they've closed so many of them considering how unique of a place to eat it is.

A little inside baseball for you James. I've worked on and off as in the security field for 20+ years. Worked for the DHS, as a private investigator and as a licensed private security officer. Worked with everybody from the secret service, state and local police depts and 18 year olds on their first ever security jobs at a supermarket. People(at all levels) of the security industries and agencies love this movie. As well as OBSERVE AND REPORT which you should check out too. I think you would dig it.

Interesting fact: the bad guy "Rudolph" in the movie who suggests "Why don't we just start wasting hostages? That'll stop him." at 21:26 is a professional skateboarder and semi-pro BMX enthusiast as well as being the lead vocalist of a punk-rock/punk-metal band called Black Flag. His real name is Mike Valley. The BMX and skateboarding stunts his character did in the movie are all him, except the scene at 24:33.

37:05. A mall I worked at a long time ago had a hall to "nowhere." It used to go out onto a patio, but if you went through the doors, the only thing there was a vending machine and a plastic chair. I heard once the security caught a theif trying to escape from there.

I've been watching dozens of your KZbin videos, and your backstory prompts me to suggest a one-off video: not a movie reaction, but a discussion about your all-time favorite books and authors. You could do another about favorite board games and card games. Maybe bring a friend or two into each video (which can work well with movie reactions, too, by the way). Skip the green screen and just set up a few cameras around a game table or a living room or whatever. Clearly, your editing skills are up to any task. Whatever you do (or don't do), I'm already loving it. Thank you for sharing this journey with us.

The Rainforest Cafe is a real chain of restaurants and it is really decorated like that. Judging by the emblem on your jacket, I'm guessing that you are in Iowa. There aren't any Rainforest Cafes in Iowa. It looks like the closest two locations to Iowa are in Gurnee Mills, IL and the Mall of America in Minnesota. The chain was more widespread 5-10 years ago. Now, it looks like they're down to about 15 locations across the country. From what I remember, the food was good, but not great. It is a bit on the expensive side. I think people, particularly families with kids, go for the decor.

I never got to go to Rain Forest Cafe (waaaay too expensive) but my brother went on his honeymoon. It was an incredible experience - they kinda went out of fashion by 2000, I think. I saw this on my birthday - I had a huge day planned with all my friends but got the stomach flu the day before. After 12 hours of health, I went with my mom to see this. I laughed through the whole movie but when he was running to get to the plan, then face planted, I died laughing (because falling=hilarity). My stomach hurt SO bad afterwards. So, I always associate puking & screwed up birthday plans when I see this movie lol

Hypoglycemia means low blood sugar. Clinical hypoglycemia is a genetically caused condition where the pancreas overreacts to sugar and produces too much insulin. The result is a dramatic drop in blood sugar, causing fainting and possibly coma. Those with this condition need to restrict simple carbs and slow the absorption by eating fiber, fat and protein with any carbs. Eating sweets will only make it worse until the pancreas gives up and stops working, or they becomes insulin resistant. Then they become diabetic.

Also to add one point to my last comment: I know you said that the MCU movies didn't get enough views to justify continuing them... but... Guardians of the Galaxy... uploaded 5 months ago... has received more views than literally every single thing you've uploaded since then, except for Men in Black and Top Gun: Maverick, which just barely beat it. In fact, Guardians got more views than almost anything uploaded from the past year. The only movies to get substantially more views were Galaxy Quest, Home Alone 2, and Interstellar. So... what kind of a weird math are you using?

Man what happened to this channel? You used to watch good stuff... awesome US movies... Marvel films, Star Wars, James Cameron films, Forrest Gump, some classic 80s stuff, Spielberg, Ridley Scott, David Fincher... I mean... once in a while something weird would sneak in like Son in Law or Hocus Pocus... but... by and large... the films you watched were consistent with the name of the channel. And I know you haven't run out of good recommendations. I've seen your recommendation page. And recommended myself probably 100 or 200 stellar, 5-star classic films, most of which you haven't gotten to yet (many of them you have). But... now... ? Are you trolling us? Or is someone trolling you feeding you terrible recommendations? Maybe you just attracted people with a certain kind of mentality or taste to the channel by avoiding certain popular films... but now we're watching Paul Blart: Mall Cop?? (and, all pretty recently, You've Got Mail, Dutch, Child's Play, The Day After Tomorrow, Mr. Deeds, National Treasure .... some of the least awesome US Movies ever made. :-D And mixed in with these... Addams Family Values, Fury, Hot Tub Time Machine, Scary Movie, Ghostbusters II, Dave, Final Destination... none of these films are terrible... some are even good... but they're definitely not awesome top-tier films. Also When Harry Met Sally which I guess is a pretty classic film just not personally my thing. I mean, it's not all garbage anymore. A month ago you watched Raising Arizona which is a pretty amazing, highly-thought-of, seminal film... the first major film by the Coen Brothers who are widely regarded as film auteur geniuses. And, a little bit after that there was Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which, while not a perfect movie by any stretch, was a pretty huge monster box office hit in its day... so watching that makes sense for the channel. Or at least what it used to be. Scream was pretty awesome. Contact was okay. A Quiet Place... good albeit overrated. Cape Fear... decent for its time but dated. Talladega Nights... pretty funny, but not even the best Will Ferrell movie. But that's... uh... 2-4 awesome movies out of 19 uploaded in the last 2 months. 3-4 months ago you were watching more awesome stuff. The last couple months though... I just see a new video uploaded and am usually thinking "wtf??? who requested this one?" Paul Blart might be a new low point (though, honestly, hard to top Son in Law or the Day After Tomorrow). You said it came from your boys. Well... okay. I guess we all have our guilty pleasures that most people don't understand. Personally I'll always love the film Leonard part 6 with Bill Cosby. Currently it has a 7% fresh rating over at Rotten Tomatoes (film review aggregator site), so ::shrug:: but.... that's probably not the way to go if you want a successful channel? I mean... I still think it's a giant mistake you gave up on the MCU... it is.. hands-down... the #1 most successful and popular film franchise in the history of cinema and the later films in phase 3 WOULD pull in a lot of viewers. Guaranteed more than Paul Blart, I'd bet the farm on it. But... even if you are committed to never watching those movies again... something is going wrong. You need a better system for figuring out what you're going to watch than just what you are using. Maybe go by AFI's (American Film Institute) Top 100 films for a while? Or you could use IMDb's (Internet Movie Database) top 250? Or even just check on the score at Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic? (Paul Blart currently has a 34% score with critics, and a 43% score with audiences, which is terrible; just a suggestion: maybe... if a film has a below 75% critic or audience score at RT, then, skip it... unless one or the other is above 85 or 90% because sometimes general audiences love films that critics hate and vice versa) Or... keep doing it this way... but... I think you're going to be losing viewers and subscribers headed in this direction. Just for reference and FYI... these are the RT critics/audience scores for the films from the past 2 months on the channel, and which ones would have been skipped if using the system I just proposed: Paul Blart 34% / 43% (skip) When Harry Met Sally 91% / 89% (watch) You've Got Mail 70% / 73% (skip) Addams Family Values 75% / 63% (skip) Dutch 17% / 63% (skip) Fury 76% / 84% (watch) Hot Tub Time Machine 64% / 56% (skip) Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves 51% / 72% (skip - I'm actually surprised this one is so low. It was, like I said, a HUGE box office hit. Maybe you could allow for a box office veto... if a film was one of the top 5 box office draws the year it came out, then it doesn't matter what the RT score is. Robin Hood was the #2 movie of 1991 right behind Terminator 2 (which has stellar reviews)) Scary Movie 51% / 43% (skip) Ghostbusters II 55% / 61% (skip - this one has become a bit of a cult classic. Don't know how to adjust for that) Child's Play 73% / 65% (skip) Dave 95% / 72% (watch - audience score below 75%... but super high critics score saves it) Final Destination 36% / 68% (skip) Raising Arizona 90% / 85% (watch) Scream 81% / 80% (watch) Contact 68% / 78% (skip... but... very close) A Quiet Place 96% / 83% (watch) Cape Fear 75% / 77% (watch, barely) Talladega Nights 71% / 73% (skip, barely) Just for the sake of contrast... these are a couple of the RT scores for some of the truly awesome movies you have watched: Forrest Gump 71% / 95% Terminator 2 91% / 95% The Empire Strikes Back 95% / 97% Titanic 88% / 69% (there is a coordinated campaign amongst some angry nerds who hate this movie to down vote it various places... but... it was the highest-grossing film of all time for 11 years straight, tied for the most Oscar nominations in history, obviously people loved it) Avatar 81% / 82% The Avengers 91% / 91% Top Gun 57% / 83% (much more love from audiences than critics; though critics loved the sequel) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World 82% / 84% Willow 53% / 80% (maybe if either score is above 80 you could allow it; another film loved by fans, hated by critics) Field of Dreams 88% / 86% So.. uh... yeah.... wouldn't it be nice to be watching more of the types of films here in the 2nd list? And fewer that were like... Airheads? Or Son in Law? Or Paul Blart? Incidentally: Avengers: Infinity War 85% / 92% - highest grossing film of the year, 6th-highest grossing of all time Avengers: Endgame 94% / 90% - 2nd highest-grossing film of all time, 2nd only to Avatar, which was the film that originally dethroned Titanic... takes a Cameron film to top a Cameron film... be well and best wishes... but not going to sit through this reaction video.
