Oh Mark, what a touching and sweet tribute to Paul! We are sad of his passing but we can still celebrate the wonder-full life that he lived. I'm sorry that I didn't know him sooner and we were just getting to know each other, but I felt a kindred spirit in him, and in you also. It seems like you and Paul weren't only twins in a physical way, but twin spirits as well. It must be terribly difficult to adjust to a life without him here, but he will always be with you. Mark, I've gotten to know him even more through you. I am so pleased to have you as a friend, a positive thing to come out of this. I didn't know that he was shy, as am I, also never married. I also didn't know that he was into sacred sounds. There is so much that I wish I had shared with him before, but he knows my heart, and he will always have a place there. I know that this separation is only temporary and that he will be waiting to greet us. I hope that you find someone who sees into your soul, and can be a companion to explore with. Paul would smile.

Hi there friend in the Notts county. Yes, Paul was my dearest friend. We didn't get married or have children and lived together as well as explore the outdoors. We were proper twins if you like for 48 years. I lost my family there. But you know the outdoors or should I say the river system we set out to explore (please do take a look at the channel Wye Explorer when you have the time) drew me in more closely when Paul died. It's there I had the best conversations and the clearest dialogue. In fact I can go anywhere in the Wye catchment and see him and me hiking and camping. Thanks for sharing this. Your friend, Andrew.
@WyeExplorer4 жыл бұрын
Hi there Andrew, thank you so much for visiting this video. My loss is entwined with the circumstances at the time like so many other losses are. Loss if we strip back any disparity is the same. But we are different stories, classes, journeys and so on. The nature of the grief therefore is linked to the story. Me and Paul found ourselves in a remote place living together with only a few friends. We didn't get married or have children - we were living together and so therefore proper twins in mid life if you like. His loss almost killed me. The pain is still hard because I've had no family to carry me through either. Yeah it;s been terrible but it's his spirit that's kept me going. KZbin is an illusion. I have cried and expressed internal thoughts but most - the vast majority goes unseen a bit like an ice burg. You must kn ow this. Any way, I thank you. I do class you as a friend. Your videos and life speak to me. That's a comfort. All the best my friend. Mark

Hi there Dave, thank you so much for going back this far - for visiting this time. It means a lot to me - so kind of you. He was a brilliant and kind man Paul. One of the worlds sensitive but strong beings. It's been hyper tough because we never got married or had children and lived together. Proper twins - he was my world. Well, thank you again. All the best. Mark

You did Paul proud with this tribute Mark! He will always be with you my friend, as my beloved son Daniel, who died on 1 August 1999 in an automobile accident, is for me. They give us strength to carry on. Sincerely, Ossie

What a wonderful tribute, to what sounds like an amazing man, sadly gone far too soon. Must admit, I found this very moving, especially the end, when he walked off into the distance. I hope you can now look back on his life with a smile rather than a tear. Take care, best regards Alan

Hi Alan, it's as though Paul knew he was going. He was an elite swimmer and like the trail runs. He trained hard but at crap. 3 block of cheese to my one. He forced blood through a narrowed vessel at high pressure and a tiny bit of plaque broke away. Bang! I haven't been able to smile much Alan. We didn't get married, we lived together. We were proper twin brothers who would go out wild camping also. So a big loss - he was my family. Any way, I am fighting on and will make it through. Many thanks for taking the time to watch and for your warm comment. All the best. Mark.

Just reading what I wrote 3 months ago Mark and the final seconds of the video still hit me when I re watched this. It reminds me of a photo I have of my dad, who passed away 2 years ago, after I was leaving and paying him and my mother a visit. The photo showed my dad waving and every time I looked at the photo it seemed to be him waving goodbye to me. I found it impossible to look at the photo for a long time but now, when I see the photo, I also see the smile on his face and that is what I remember. We are all on a journey and one day we will all meet again. Cheers and best regards, Alan

I think that people we lose know how much we care for them, if we argue and don't patch it up before they die we blame ourselves. one conversation or missed opportunity is not a representation for a lifetime of relationships. However short or long life is, its best to be true to yourself first and know that a moment in time did not decide the destination. A life may have many or few twists and turns but the entrance and departure or destination remains the same. Paul is in every video, past present and future. I see him.

You know what Fazza, Paul has been in touch and so I get what you mean about them knowing. I have to say i did impact upon his self esteem in life though and for that I have been sorry. He did things mind you and so it is equal. You;re right to say that one moment is not the total story. I thank you Fazza for all your kind words. You have had a difficult experience i can sense this. You are strong to - your words tell me this. Take care. Mark

Wye Explorer Whilst watching this very touching short film of your brother I am reminded of the book "Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse. Watching Paul sit in silence on the riverbank I can't help but remember the universal peace and tranquility that Siddhartha felt in his final moments. Please read the book if you haven't. I think you will enjoy it and be comforted by it. ATB Muddy.

Hi there Trudy, so sorry for getting the gender wrong. I'm all of a dream sometimes. Jude is a nice name. I can hear you you using it - hey Jude, morning Jude, are you OK Jude? I am the same. In fact I imagine Paul coming through the door and I actually say, "Alright Paul?" as if he is there. I like using his name. I will reach out on face book. Many thanks for watching the video and contacting me. I think it's important to share our experiences. Take care Trudy. All the best. Mark

Hi Mark.. I love connecting with someone who is on the same page as I am. Some book eh? Yes I talk to Jude ( Of course her real name is Judy..but I've called her Jude since babies) I talk to her all the time. And yes I love to say her name too. I have " Hey Jude" tattooed on my hip. The one difference between you and I.. I can NOT look at a picture of her. ( You said you shared photos with others) There is no way I can look at a picture ( None on wall for me) She is EVERYWHERE WITH ME. She is in every breath I take. BUT my coping mechanism is avoidance. sigh.. I'm glad we got to gab.. Maybe Paul and Jude arranged it ..ha.. My husband has the patience of a Saint, but he just doesn't get the twin connection. xo Trudy
@WyeExplorer6 жыл бұрын
Trudy I can understand how Judy is in every breath you take. I see the spirit of Paul inside of me, which is beautiful and unusual at the same time. I think when Paul died I was determined to embrace the pain. I kissed him and said on his death bed when he died, "I accept it Paul. I let you in now." I think what i was saying was that I know what's coming and it is all you. Your husband sounds great 0 but yeah I found few who understand. It's been super lonely but I speak and receive Paul all the time. I've looked on facebook. Are you the fair brown haired Trudy from Florida? If so I have the page. Any way, it's been really good chatting - see you on facebook. Take care....
@TrudyPatootie6 жыл бұрын
Yes that is me.. Oh yes.. I embrace the pain too. I never open up to people like I have you..Wanted you to know that Yes.. I know what you are going through on a daily basis. And how you feel when you let your guard down. POW.. I hear a song.. and " THAT'S IT.. TEARS FLOW.." I smell her perfume on someone.. " Tears Flow.." and you can forget about seeing twin babies in a stroller.. OMG.. Yes.. and then I'll give you my email on facebook. You take care too my friend.
