I had the honor of paving up north last week but the residue is still hanging around even after washing the truck. I have to get it off!!! Its downright terrible looking. I decided to try a product that I have seen in a few groups. I ordered PavePro Gold but received a case of PavePro Green instead. At least it worked!!! I'll give ‪@pavepro_asphaltsolvent‬ a call tomorrow and see where my order of gold ended up.

Thank you for at least trying an Approved product. For me it was filling my sprayer from the fuel filter drain. Before I went under the hopper, I would spray the bed with Diesel fuel in the spray can like yours. Then I hide sprayer in dump truck 🚛. There is a Product called ( Fluid Film) that's Legal. Also a spray can of WD-40 but Diesel hidden sprayer works the best.

In Canada, we use Epcot product called slick. They spray in your truck box when you’re at wet conditions and it helps from sticking.

That actually looks pretty good. Still hate paving and don't do it anymore 😐 The only upside to paving is low fuel burn since you sit around a lot waiting.

The first time I hauled asphalt was on a dump trailer. It was my third time behind the wheel of a truck, the first time was to practice for the cdl driving test that I took and passed that day. Two days later I was sent to haul asphalt by myself, with no idea what I was doing. I had no clue what a paving machine even looked like at that time.

I haul blacktop for years. Best thing to do is to buy a weed sprayer and fill it with diesel fuel. Cover the inside of the box speaderpan and latches with a fine mist. Just don't do it at the soap rack. A gallon sprayer full would last a couple of days. And I never had any stick regardless of how sticky the mix was.

I think that you did a good job of cleaning that up Dauminique,and I don't see any stains on your tank top,but next time you should wear a black tank top that way you can't see any stains & you can use the black one for when you're working on your dump truck or pressure washing your dump truck also

We use diesel before we load and nothing sticks, the soap the state wants you to use really doesn't work that good and is super expensive. If you want something that will make that asphalt run like water and is safe on paint and biodegradable and safe get some Schaffer's Citrol! You can get it in an aerosol can or by the gallon and it is pretty expensive but you don't have to use much. I use it mostly on my painted surfaces, chrome, stainless steel, and aluminum when I get asphalt or tack on it from paving. It does all the work so you don't have to.

When I paved years back with Lakeridge Paving we used ZEP Big Orange and it worked great but ZEP products are pretty expensive

We have a steam Jenny at our shop that will easily remove hardened asphalt off the tailgate of our trucks. It heats the water up to 240 degrees. It literally melts the asphalt off.

I always liked fry grease or french fry oil, restaurants and convenient stores with fryers happily give used oil away to anybody who wants it. You will need to filter it out because crumbs and chunks of french fry's will clog up the spray nozzle and it will make you hungry for fried food but it works just like diesel.

Spray your locks with diesel just before you dump and when you pull away from the paver you can use a microfiber rag on your tailgate bottom and it will come right off.

For a short time that I drove a semi tanker trailer combo hauling asphalt oil there was a solvent that we sprayed on the manhole cover and the cap that covers the dump valve. The stuff was very expensive in 55 gallon drums. And then they changed it to WD40 to coat the areas. Granted the oil was around 300 degrees and a liquid state, but you still had to prep the areas so things could open easily enough. Sadly I cannot remember the name of that solvent and it can be filled into a regular hose hold sprayer. It was some good stuff to use to keep parts from sticking before they changed to another product.

I use soybean oil aka fryer grease. Pick up free used feyer grease from local restaurant, filter out solids and add a little water so it will spray. Found it works as well as diesel just not as fast. A light spray before each load works wonders. Caution: The smell produces hunger pangs😂

If you’re looking for something a little more gentle for delicate surfaces like a car paint job, try Shout Advanced laundry spray. Use the aerosol spray, not the pump spray bottle. It’s amazing!!

Dawn soap is good besides spraying the box with diesel before you start work ( inside box) your doing a good job with the pressure hose / next time you do paving. cover your back License plate for the day too keep from getting spladdered with tar / I hauled asphalt for awhile between Jobs Calgary, Alberta and. Nice 👍. I used to do a lot of night Paving. I found if I pregame by spraying everything with diesel when I park the truck after . I would come in to work for the next shift and it seem to have really absorbed into the pores of everything 🤷‍♂️. I got way less build up then if I just sprayed that shitty soap at the plant right before getting loaded . I could do two loads of mix before I’d have to spray it again with anything.

Hi Dauminique , hope all is going well for you out there , the company I work for gets this product from a company called clean edge it's 2222 asphalt cleaner , supposed to be environmentally safe as they say it's biodegradable ,, I'm not sure about all that but it really does work well , you can get a small 1 gallon sprayer and keep inside in a milk crate on the passenger side floor or find a spot like above you fuel tank that you can bungee cord it too to have it on hand when you need it , idk what amounts it's available in as work buys it in those 300 gallon totes although I'm sure they probably have smaller amounts available ..... anyhow hope life is treating you good :-) , hope you get to try some 222 is what we call it out here think you might like it Ttyl Perry

Citrol it's made by Shafer's work's great big orange or any citrus cleaner. I agree with the other person that made a post about those 2. They're fantastic we used to mean our county trucks and Eastern Washington. Then go get you a gallon weeds. Prayer. Input some Di diesel in that for the inside of your bed works far better than any of that worthless soap that they have at batch plants that supposed to be environmentally friendly. Shall we say , And when you put your truck back together? Run out with your can I sit roll or big orange? Give a quick once over on the tail gate on your truck and your pup and off you go. Work for us. Then every couple days, hose it down with citrol and pressure, wash it.

ordered 2 different hydrualic pumps in last month. 2 different places 2 different styles of pumps. one came as a hydrualic hardline the other came as a hydrualic drivemotor. so not getting the type of soap you ordered is no suprize to me. actually i get excited when the correct item shows up.

Maybe this is me, and being in the UK, but apart from the lack of used Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), particularly for things like stopping blown spray getting in your eyes, I didn't see a Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) data sheet in the box of solvent bottles, and you didn't mention there even being a web link for the COSHH data in the instructions?

Spray diesel fuel on it and then they take it right off. Plus when you hold dirt, it won't stay in the bed. It will slide right out of the dump

Try using liquid soap diluted in a sprayer with diesel but use a flowereee smelling soap so they can't smell the diesel spray them area's with wd40 or pb blaster !! But if haul that new rubber stuff that's a real pain !!

I hauled asphalt for about 35 years and a product I like real well is Big Orange E. It is sold by Zep. Instead of me trying to explain it , just go ahead and google it. I think that it works real well and when you are done, your truck will smell like a big ole orange LOL You can buy the consentrate and mix with water at any big box store but I dont think that it does what the areosol spray can does. Unfortunatly you have to buy it directly from Zep. Its about $16.00 a can

Used .......trans oil. Not new.. Unless you have deep pockets.. It will also keep metal protected from water. Rusting. And will keep things lubricated.

My brother in law cleaned the rims of his truck and did not wear gloves and the chemical got under his finger nails and his hands started burning really bad! He had to go to the hospital immediately. I do not know what is in the spray you used but better to be safe than sorry right?👍

I guess I’m old school, when I used to clean tools and boots I would empty a few cans of east off oven cleaner, Some armor all first seemed to help and fresh oil and fresh kevlar laces for my boots. After a summer I would toss everything. Great job. Wonder the expense
