He meant as in getting positive attention while the child is acting up. You know this but you would rather misinterpret what he is saying.

What exactly do you mean by "sobbering" and "foolish"? Is the child doing bad things, or is he just goofing around and having fun with his friends? That letter is too vague and doesn't provide proper context.

Idk what planet you live but if you don't correct a 7 year old child who acts like a baby , in just 3 years he is going to be one akward 10 year old. And by his teens he will still have the behaviors of a child. It is a pathetic thing to witness. Think of how damaging that is to him socially.

just 3 years away from being 10 , he should not be acting like a one year old. It is concerning 😮

@@DaniloSantosVieira if that's your response think of two things you don't just jump on a kid for being silly you investigate why. Why is he doing this is it because he's seeking attention or is there an underlying issue going on. What if he's autistic for example and this is Grandma's response. I still remember my grandma asking my mom if I was retarded in front of me simply because Im ambidextrous and it was "unnatural". The idea that shaming a kid for being a kid is good correction is a bit much. If there's bad behavior I understand certain things, a corner and time out is fine for that. But trying to manipulate and shame a kid will teach them that your love is conditional and dysfunctional for them. We don't even know why exactly this kid was behaving this way he may have just wanted his grandmother's attention sounds to me she's not exactly the type that wants to be around kids to begin with.

I personally dont think theres anything wrong with Mike saying hes not going to be loved. He didnt mean you wouldnt love the child. He meant that that behaivor would not be responded to or acknowledged or cared for. Some of the people i love most have done things i despised and i didnt love the person they were being but i loved them. He is 7, but that can lead to very rowdy behaivor if he us not cultivated to be a God fearing, respectful young boy/man. Which a 7 year (who no one demands perfection from) can definitely learn respect from parents and elders

maybe he does that to 'grandma' bc she is a judgmental and mean person to him, he's not an idiot, he can pick up on that! i also had insecure and judgmental grandparents that criticized everything i did, no matter what - poor 7 year old here being ill-advised by insecure 'adults' - maybe if the grandmother was more loving and kind she could connect to herself and then him - seems like grandma needs some other type of advice ;) ....and sad this goofy couple encourages this garbage message they have

You hit it on the head, while maybe “no one will love you” is too much, I think explaining that people won’t enjoy being around him is a better way of putting it

I agree with you Mike! The people saying "he's just a 7 year old!" don't understand. First of all, in just 3 years, the child will be 10 and in 4 he will be a teen. It seems most people forget just how fast childhood goes by... If you , as a parent, fail to correct your kids' strange unsocial behaviors, life will correct them and it's not going to be pleasant, and your son will spend the rest of his school years renegaded to "that table" during lunch. No girl will come withing 5 foot of him. The boys will pick on him and so on. It's a sad fact but a true fact and i cannot imagine anyone who loves their child to wish them such a thing.

Bc so many people here are probably in the camp of just allowing the kids do whatever they want whenever they want and then look confused when the teacher quits bc he and other kids raised in a similar way are unruly and disrespectful

I thought this was a great response. Why do people respond as if you are not a primary influence on your child? you should be forming and informing them on what is appropriate and socially acceptable? I would be ashamed and not wanting my 5 year old doing this. This is the bare minimum a parent should be doing. Don’t leave them to themselves , be honest with them so they can flourish! So they can be enjoyed by others not grossed out.

The advice given is not bad I was expecting smack him till he stops attitude! Ignore the bad behave your and give positive good rewards when you get good behavior! However! A 7yr old boy is silly/funny/dirty the thing is all children are very very different. My son seems normal in looks yet he has autism and adhd he’s 11 but at times act 3/4 we take it with a pinch of salt but for some behaviors we do as the Perl say in gore bad praise good.... (I do wish the only thing my son did was stick his tong out and touches his fingers and slobbers)

I so agree with this advice. Thank you for your wisdom:) It's hard for me to believe the way this generation is raising the future adults for this country. There is an excuse for every behavior under the sun...ADD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar and the list goes on... instead of learning to be accountable for your actions, PERIOD! My son has been studying psychology for the past seven years, I'm being honest when I say it's taught him more negativity than anything. He has diagnosed himself with several different negative labels. It's absolutely saddening. I really don't know who will be strong enough mentally to be leaders in the future. Doctors are labeling and writing prescriptions as s if that's the antidote for life. It's absolutely pathetic. Yahweh bless you and your ministry.

I see why people hate your teachings so much...because they are wise! This generation has been raised to be foolish and despise biblical wisdom. I think this generation has forgotten to read proverbs, speaking of the foolish child.

To all the negative asinine comments. He meant to use better wording and he even reiterated what he meant 2 times after when he said "enjoyed" but his advice was in line with what any behavior professional would tell the parents. It's called negative and positive reinforcement. Take away a good thing to encourage good behavior in this case do not encourage bad behavior by giving the child a positive reaction. Or giving in to the child's crude way of getting attention. You think that is evil ? Back in the day they would just pick up the nearest stick or belt and beat the hell out of the child. But according to you internet bullies mr pearl is the bad guy because he avoids physical punishment that his generation was more familiar with. There's a reason he said enjoyed to replace loved. He correct himself but you guys wanna have your chance to be hyper critical
