I love the occasional loud pop like on those drag cars that make hella horsepower numbers or big ass turboed cars but the pop tunes are constant loud pops hence the ‘popcorn tune’. When it’s just popping over and over again at that volume it’s just blowing everyone’s ear drums out and can get old real quick. I love pops just not that many in a row, more like Supra big turbo, shift into 3rd gear, and you just hear like a gun shot right on shift!

My Evo is like that, it will occasionally do one or two on an aggressive downshift but majority of the time in heavy boost between 2/3/4 it will let a nice one rip. I've been asked by so many people why It doesn't crackle or pop, I can't stand those tunes lol

@@shad3128 ik im late but my mustang is the same ever since the 5.4 swap. after the tune, if im actually pushing it and i shift right on before redline, itll pop so loud and i love it. but just casually driving it it's got some minimal noise. love it!

My forester STI only does super quiet pops on low RPM in 1st and 2nd letting off gas but get super duper loud when aggressively shifting up to 4th and 5th​ I cant love it enough! @shad3128

i have a similar tune and you do have to tap the pedal in order to make it pop which i really like since you can control how often or how loud it pops depending on the rpm and repeated taps

Yeah I don’t like loud motorcycles either. But I think the reason behind it is so people are more aware of them when they are riding on the road; ultimately to prevent any accidents that may happen.

It doesn't work in real life. I used to ride motorcycle, I realize that if someone wasn't paying attention on the road, he/she would just simply ignore all the noises and things around them. People would ignore emergency vehicles siren, let alone the loud exhaust from motorcycle...

Pops and bangs tune are dumb. If the car has a specific purpose for it, such as upshift/flat shift ign-cut or retard, it might pop but that's a side-effect. On engine decel, it should go straight into DFCO (decel fuel cut), only pops might be result of decel fuel cut delay, again, a side-effect not a goal. This is the new RICE. you could just get a j pipe with no cat and exhaust no resonators go stage 2+ with other mods obviously and your exhaust will naturally pop without a "crack and pop" tune. mine cracks and pops but i just got a stage 2+ pro tune. made sure they didnt give me a pop tune and the tuner told me its just a pro tune and the natural sound of my free flowing exhaust

Yo bro one thing you can do too is hold in your clutch all the way in while your in second gear and just start Reving it (obviously it messes up ur clutch a little faster ) but it makes cool pops 😭
