i just now heard about the pehalwani baithak, would u care to tell me about these 8 squats you mentioned my guy? i train bjj and i'm lookin' to improve my athletic performance
@MiketheNerdRanger11 ай бұрын
@@alpacino8919 the pehalwani baithek is one variation of hindu squats. There are seven more variations: samanya baithek, sampurn baithek, rammurti baithek(the one everyone just calls "hindu squats"), another version of the pehalwani baithek (I think he demonstrates both in the video), and 3 versions of the hanuman baithek. There's a video about the hanuman baithek on this channel.

My squat will never be the same. Good explain sir.
@over60exercise2 жыл бұрын
I tried this and it's interesting, but also much easier than a more controlled squat. You can do many more of these than a regular squat done properly. Swinging the arms really is a kind of an assist and takes pressure off of the legs. I prefer the more controlled squat that is both safer and also works the leg muscles much harder. These are like the squat version of 'kipping' pull ups that are much easier to do and that the crossfit people like to do tons of. They work the muscles much less and you can do many more of them.
@MarioMedinaaa Жыл бұрын
yeah this is like cardio style squats, great for conditioning and mobility but not so much for hypertrophy
@krisztianwirsz3612 Жыл бұрын
If you think it's easier you're doing them wrong. You jump into the squat and jump out of it, that alone - if done properly - should make it harder.
@over60exercise Жыл бұрын
@@krisztianwirsz3612 but you are NOT doing that alone, you are using the momentum of your arms to carry you into and out of the squat. It's like kipping pullups, you swing your body to help you make the pullup, so it's just cardio and not hypertrophy. So many other points to make here, he hops down to where the legs are no longer holding the body up, they are bent all the way, so there is basically zero resistance for the legs to handle on the way down PLUS the arm momentum is basically carrying him into and out of the squat. I do squats that go down in a slow, controlled manner, really working the legs, then leap out of them, all without swinging my arms to cheat. This is for show. Do 100 real squats and 100 of these hopping swinging arm squats and you will know the difference, not just think they are easier, you will know they are easier. I have.
@krisztianwirsz3612 Жыл бұрын
@@over60exercise i am almost 100% sure you're not doing the one I'm talking about. Arms or not, when you jump into a squat it's not 1x but 2 or even 3x bodyweight force. How could that be easier, even with the rebound kind of effect? Controled bodyweight squats with a normal tempo I can do for days until I get bored. With this I have lactic acid built up pretty fast.
