That he's, as Charlie said, ascending from the realm of the gods to grace us mortals with his presence? Grace our lowly food with his god tongue? Like...that's what he wants everyone to know in order to like him? The message is so weird no matter how you spin it. I 100% agree with Charlie's take on The Rock's appearance on Joe Rogan. He was so careful and tried not to take any solid stance on anything, especially with recent geopolitical events happening around the world. I watched the entire thing because I wanted a little deeper insight into The Rock's mindset, especially with all of this recent chatter and speculation of him running for President one day. Watching that podcast I came away that The Rock is not a principled person, that he wants to please everyone and not get on anyone's bad side. I see why people like him and would want him to run for President, because they can pick out the aspect that they like in him, but I did not see in him a true leader that's willing to make a tough decision, upset half of the country, and live with the consequences of his decisions.
@thekamotodragon Жыл бұрын
i've been thinking for years that the Rock is fake af because he always presents a false persona in every public appearance he does (which is most celebrities to be fair), but thank you for bringing up that Joe Rogan interview because that's also what really cemented it for me. I couldn't believe watching that how spineless he is. Joe would talk about something controversial, and he would REFUSE to comment on it or say anything, even when it was about his "home", Hawaii with the fires. I mean that's actually pretty sus tbh, since a lot of people think those fires were on purpose so that rich celebs can buy the land, but everything in that interview was like that. Joe would softball him the easiest responses on controversial topics and he would just go "yea, that's terrible" over and over lol.

@@thefinal9923 Then why does he do the little back-of-the-throat "gah" sound that movie characters make right after they drink spirits?
@thefinal992311 ай бұрын
@@kl7360 He did drink. I'm just saying, the person thought him doing the "cheers" thing was him accidentally bumping the camera. He clinked against the camera and then lifted it to drink / pretend to drink.

It's so funny when he's like "Oh the fries are good" literally 1 second after picking it up and "eating it" but there is no change in his voice whatsoever. No chewing, no change in speech at all. Dude just picked it up and threw it on the floor lolol.

If you had to work that hard to make your body look like that and work like that. I wouldn't wanna mess it up eating crap after that long either. Tbh I think that caption was written by his marketing team because it sounds so cookie cutter especially with emojis.

I don't know the person in the video, but I clicked on it because it's fun to see things turn on themselves. My wife left me and took the kids and I got cancer. Still better than time spent watching naruto fillers. Disgusting.

He's been like that since 2010-2011. I truly used to like The Rock. Person and performer but, since he became this larger than life, ego-maniacal, Hollywood elitist, he's become more and more unlikable and unrelatable. The dude is his own brand and is larger than life no doubt. He's put in the hard work and has charisma in his toenail than probably anyone has ever had, but once he reached that mountain top, he never looked at anything realistically. The DC incident, Ballers law suit, Fast and Furious drama, and etc all shed some light as to the real Dwayne Johnson and not The Rock you see on tv everyday.
