Borrowing without consent is contingent on having the intent of not permanently depriving the person of that property. Its colloquially referred to as "joyriding" with an example being taking a car but intending to return it at some point. Stealing involves intent of permanent deprivation. So likely its a friend or family member's business or vehicle. Because that relationship of trust is the only real way to prove your intentions.

@@Brandon_Brando she wasn’t even speeding… i’m in no way sympathizing with her but i’d say she was probably going beneath the recommended speed limit because of the snow, as to not endanger herself or anyone else. she only goes fast enough to lose control of her vehicle when no other cars are around. it’s not right, but i wouldn’t say it’s cause for the police to scream “get the fuck out of the car” while not even giving her a chance to get herself out of the car.

its not really harmless for the person who owned the car who now has no way to get to work. eviction, loss of their kids because they have no food to eat or place to sleep because they were living paycheck to paycheck like most americans. then never being able to pay off all the debt that comes from emptying their bank account and credit cards to rent a car and pay for the bail to get out of jail because police harrass and arrest homeless people for no reason. thats why people will kill somebody who breaks inti their home or vehicle. any loss is literally life or death for a lot of people. just dont fuck with poor people, or anybody because you dont know how desperate they are.

This reminds me of a prisoner escape in Las Cruces, NM. The guy gets taken to the hospital for a sexual assault, goes to use the restroom and runs out of the hospital naked, steals a truck with a horse trailer. They chase him around Cruces, before he takes his show across state lines. He drives towards El Paso, TX, the cops are aware of his intentions so they set up a spike trap, just they weren't the most prepared as they threw it out too early and he drove around it. He drives normally to El Paso where he runs out of gas. He proceeds to car jack two couples while in El Paso and decides, since the LCPD just barely decided to notify El Paso of him possibly being there, he should go back to Las Cruces. Well the LCPD is prepared for this so they chase him from the south side of the city to the north edge of the city where they block him in and remove him from the car, but his story doesn't end there, no this bastion of all criminal knowledge escapes the police. He was found two days later a block from the police department having meth related withdrawal seizures. He was arrested in the back of an ambulance. He's quite possibly my favorite criminal.

Can we appreciate fact that police chases are more dangerous for the public than actually letting that person go. You identify the suspect, that's good, let them go, you can find them again no problem, and right now you're endangering more people than anything, but what do I know, I'm just another pedestrian that might be hit by a car that's running away from the police.
@kaitlynwickham62372 жыл бұрын
One of my favorite composers lost his son that way. Fifteen year-old kid was crossing the street, completely legally on a crosswalk at a red light, and he was hit by a drunk driver fleeing the police at 80 mph. I don't think some people realize that bystanders and pedestrians still exist during a police chase.

It just makes the perpetrator stressed/scared and more likely to resist or act out. Not to mention the unclear and conflicting instructions. “Hands”??? What does that mean?
