Maybe not necessarily, because the point wasn't that Hotwheels are lesser. The point was that OP was being a hypocrite by judging others weird obsession while having one of his own. The argument was about hypocrisy.

@@pancakes8670 But by saying "Hot Wheels are amazing. Why wouldn't I collect them?" it stops being a "weird obsession". As an avid Reddit reader I can report: the only thing remarkable about this Reddit thread, is how long the villain managed to keep engaging with his critics. That said, watching your bafflement was absolute gold. Edit: I thought my comment was reasonable and certainly not negative in any way. Yet still loads of replies are cruel and toxic. I find this surprising, especially considering the content of this video. I am fully aware that this edit will likely attract more of the same but here goes anyways. Yes, I use Reddit. I looked it up, apparently I created my account in 2016. Reddit happens to be my social media of choice and I scroll on it, according to my phone, 15 minutes a day on average. I choose to believe that the people below who chose to insult me, would never use the same language towards strangers they meet in the street. I suspect sometimes people forget that there is a person behind every comment on every social media platform. I now people will say that I should just ignore them but, believe it or not, those comments are hurtful.

My favorite genre of music is classical, and if ever that happens to come up in conversation, I’ll often hear the other person say “I should really listen to more classical,” or “I should go to more orchestra performance,” etc. My response is always the same: “It’s music, not vegetables. There is no virtue in liking any genre of music over another one. Listen to whatever you want.” I have little patience for those who put hobbies or tastes in a hierarchy, or who feel the need to mock others for what brings them joy.
