As a So-Cal resident and someone who's family managed to get annual passes to Disneyland bi-yearly throughout their childhood, I had NO memory of Superstar Limo. In my earliest memories of the California Adventure park, A Bug's Land was already a thing, so Superstar Limo must've already been abandoned by then. When the Monsters Inc. ride debuted I was convinced it was a totally original ride, unaware of its previous life as Eisner's coked up fever dreams of Hollywood.

Eisner kept the company alive for quite a while with his overall management of the parks and his cornering of the home video market. That's why 2000s kids still grew up with 90s Disney. Even though their 2000s movies weren't doing so great, their home videos were a smash. During his time, their B-team animators also started making direct-to-video sequels to their classics at a low budget, which were also very successful. Eisner wasn't removed for being a bad CEO. Roy E. Disney had him ousted because he felt that Eisner didn't focus enough on making new theatrical animations.

That may not be a ride up to modern big theme park standards, but it seems like a perfectly serviceable ride like "It's a Small World" or Pirates of the Caribbean, where you just sit down and enjoy the artistry, in this case the fun celebrity caricatures. Nothing special, but nothing awful either. Like how is the Monsters Inc. ride any better?
