I have hated Musk for over a decade. Even before he was doing all the conspiracy stuff I disliked him because so many people thought he like invented things and personally programmed paypal and stuff. He did not, he bought paypal (also tried to rename it X which is genuinely hilarious), he bought tesla from the people who actually built world changing tech, and in both cases he tried to take credit for being an inventor and engineer when he's really just an investor. But if you want the deep dish, look up his relationship with Peter Thiel. Those two have been working together for decades, and it shows who Musk has been listening to that drove him in this insane direction. This isn't something that came out of nowhere, musk has been like this the whole time, he just went mask off with twitter.

Came here to say exactly this about Thiel - as bad as Musk is, it is Thiel who is the true threat. And the word "threat" is wholly insufficient to convey how dangerous he is.

my feelings towards the guy have been that his reposting and endorsement of content that promotes violence towards minorities alone should be enough to alarm all of us; thank you for lending your voice to the concerns many of us have right now! I personally see him and Ford as having several alarming similarities, business and political interests/sympathies to name a couple. I'm personally motivated to learn more about security culture given the trajectory of things, and I would love to see more like-minded people do the same; stay safe out there, and stand with your communities!

The way he treats women like broodmares, along with the way he has treated his daughter Vivian and continues to casually deadname her like she's irrevocably one of his possessions, is enough to tell me who he is; the rest is all corroboration. However, Elon having a top security clearance and access to the aging brain with the nuclear codes in it doesn't give me anywhere near as many nightmares as Peter Thiel does. The fact that most people have never heard of him scares me even more.

Years ago I was impressed because of his association with Tesla, SpaceX and Neura-Link. His acquisition of Twitter quickly exposed him as full of hot air, willing to talk at length on subjects for which he knows nothing. Then Twitter got worse and worse and soon he exposed himself as a horrible person so I deleted my account. This is a tricky question. Because we the Musk mythology. Public personas are often carefully orchestrated in the media. You have to take what you learn with a grain of salt. Now, if you talk to anyone right now, who has a Tesla or is trying to get Tesla solar. Customer service is horrendous. It’s a shit show.if I were to judge him on that factor?
