Something everybody's not talking about is that the woman who fouled Clark has a history of dirty play, suspensions, and was even cut from a team for challenging a teammate to a fight. And something the WNBA needs to consider, if they don't institute a flagrant-3/targetting foul with an automatic multi-game suspension, is that their cash cow may decide she'd rather make 20+ times as much in Europe or some other league, and the W will fall right back into irrelevance.

Chicago Sky thug Chennedy Carter has been liking and tweeting shady and hateful comments about Caitlin. They've been purposely trying to hurt her because they're jealous she makes millions and sells out arenas while they don't. They're mad she has millions of fans and endorsements while they don't. That explains a lot as far as me always wondering why these brothers stayed at home with their mama at 35 years old and drove a Benz and thought they had status. Do you see Nike offering Angel reese 28 mill?? Do you see not even offering Angel a deal?? Do you see Wilson basketball knocking on Angel Reese's door offering her an exclusive deal??? Is Angel Reese jersey number 4 only behind three NBA players. Did Angel Reese's Jersey sell more than the entire Dallas cowboys football team last year in the first 7 Days of her being in the league? See you think that a national championship ring is worth more than 40 million and like I said that makes a lot of sense to me now that I look at things@@ebebb6078

The difference with the foul against Reese is that it was a hard foul with two players going for the rebound - and it was CORRECTLY called a flagrant right away. CC got complete cheap shot during a dead ball play (ball wasn’t even inbounded, and the girl ran up calling her a little b*tch with a forearm to the back) and they called it just a common foul…. Like you cannot honestly draw comparisons between the two.

See I have to disagree with this guy on the right. Caitlin Clark and women's basketball didn't blow up after Angel Reese's facial snub. Caitlin Clark and women's basketball blew up because Caitlin blows the roof off every arena with 35 ft threes!!! Caitlin Clark and women's basketball blew up because Caitlin broke both the men's and the women's scoring record for the NCAA!!!! It blew up because Caitlin Clark is the only man or woman to have over 3,000 points and over 1,000 assists!!!! So the gentleman on the right is out of his element. Dude , maybe however this situation instantly gained millions of more fans including myself once Angel Reese did that in that caucasian girls face aka great "white" hype who was already gaining traction because of her race and skills and only because she was heading to a league where AA women is dominating. She's representing all the caucasians that can't play 🏀 and want to see her dominate in a league where you guys haven't dominated for decades upon decades 😂. Just facts. News flash no one is bowing down to her , she will have to earn it plain and simple and it will be long time before she wins a Championship smh 😂.

@@derrickluv4002 Well I appreciate your insight and I have to say though that Caucasian women have been doing just fine in the WNBA. Everyone would care more about the black WNBA player too if they weren't bullies and thugs. I mean that's an overstatement, there are wonderful black players that are nice and kind but they haven't showed up lately. Only the thugs. Second I have to say that Angel Reese didn't do anything to gain any traction for any League. I think she's a really good player whose game translates to most every single black woman player in the league. She rebounds she plays defense she blocks shots. I mean that's pretty routine. She'll have a great career but she had no impact at all on the popularity of Caitlin Clark and college basketball. She's excelled well in the nil and she has done well on social media. But Caitlin Clark breaking every single college record there is was the reason that she had huge popularity. Not Angel Reese and her disrespectful hand to the face. Caitlin Clark is the only man or woman to ever have over 3,000 points and over a thousand assists. Caitlin Clark broke the all-time scoring record for men and women. We don't need Angel Reese to highlight that. And now she's reaching so bad by stating that she is part of the growth. When someone has to actually tell us that she is something then you know something's wrong. 🤣😂🤣😂

I've NEVER wanted to watch a game of the WNBA until Caitlin started playing! Let's equate Angel to Rodman, but make no mistake! We know that Rodman was great, but MJ eclipses LeBron to this day! Angel will never be the face of their league because of her style of play! Women don't want to admit it, but they should look at the history of that league! Most of the greats of the WNBA have been black! The Caitlin hate is because she was white! People should go back and look at what she did in college... Hey Dan, Angel Reese and the Sky went into Washington to play (Angels Home Town), and the increase in attendance was 15%. Caitlin Clark and the Fever went into Washington and the attendance increased >100% (doubled). Parents only want to expose their children to quality role models and not a freaking clown show circus. It's a difference in scale. I'm sure Reese brought LSU fans and some others, Brink brought Stanford fans and some others, and the other rookies and veterans brought their university-based fans and some others, all to the tune of perhaps a few hundred to a few thousand fans apieces. However Clark brought not just Iowa fans, but fans from across the country and even from outside the USA, to the tune of hundreds of thousands if not more. She knows how to entertain on the court, she signs autographs for kids, she praises others, she carries herself very well, etc. Besides being a good person, she knows how to market herself better than anyone in the WNBA. Without NIL, she may have been the only college player from this rookie class to have any significant name recognition. NIL helped all of the rookies before they got to the WNBA, but it helped Clark an order of magnitude more.

I was supportive of Angel at first but she has totally lost me. Angel needs a ego check and a reality check - this did NOT start with that game vs LSU, it is all about CC. Sorry Angel, that's the reality. The only reason many people were even watching that game was CC, and people are not watching more now as a result of that game, it is CC. I don't think Reese has even played as big a part as they're saying in this vid. In my humble opinion, the event in that game was nothing more than a blip. The attention is all about CC's skills. That's it. Plain and simple. And I don't think the jealously has anything to do with race, sexuality or any "woke" issues. It is just plain ego and jealousy.

Rivaleries between teams cannot be planned or faked. Caitlin is a superstar. She now makes a boat load of money because fans want to see her play, more game tickets are sold and companies make goods about her. Golf has not respected and has not protected Tiger during his prime. Golf suffered from Tiger absence. Racism, greed and jealousy has something to do in this. The WNBA has to protect players against violence and injuries. If not, it will sink back to where it was before. Basketball has a golden opportunity to embrace and her to grow and go beyond lackluster racism, greed and jealousy.

Dan, the reason i didnt say anything about the Reese foul is simple. The offender was assessed a Flagrant 2 and thrown out of the game and received a suspension. Carter was given a personal common foul. Even when the league stepped in, IMO they were trying to appease the players. So they gave a weak flagrant 1 with no suspension. Should have the same as the Thomas violation. Especially considering of her past record in the league. The foul in Seattle under the basket when yhey played the Storm, when Caitlyn drove for a layup and the Storm player trying to block a shot, the result a violent collision in the air, resulting in Caitlyn hitting her head, and no foul called??? Than with the video from a fan at the game with VV, where her and Caitlyn received technicals, you can see that VV clearly threw a punch at Caitlyn and hit her in the chest or neck. The league isnt helping and i said from the jump her coach and teammates are not defending her. So she has realized about 4 games ago she is on her own. And it is reflected in her FG % and she is taking less shots, because her concentration on bball has been interrupted, which is affecting her confidence.

Ionescu, Griner, C.Clark, B.Stewart....WNBA grows in popularity with EACH No.1 pick..it's not a Race factor in the Fame surrounding Clark..its a TALENT factor. She's Good enough. There is a toxic jealousy that can easily be mutated into Race-baiting if media reps are not more careful. The players abusing their privileges on the Court by focusing their jealousy into Rough, Physical Contact with Caitlin Clark need to be held Accountable. They don't even see the issue they're creating by forcing fans to discuss IF they're actually Envious of Clark's No.1 status ...or the combined white ethnicity she brought with her, like so many No. 1 greats before Her, who were not roughed up on the Court in that way.

Dear Mr Patrick … I honestly started watching because of Angel Reese. Why? She’s unapologetic on who she is, and is a CHAMPION! But you don’t ask enough people who look like me, so you wouldn’t know. Both things can be true: People who look like you are watching because Caitlin Clark and People who look like me are watching because of Angel Reese. And there are fans who watch because of Cameron Brink, and so on! The percentage of people who watch are different too … depending on the demographic. For example, if you go to more white areas, they may watch because of Caitlin. But if you go to more Black areas, they are watching because of Angel Reese. However - and this is IMPORTANT …. since there are more white-owned mainstream media platforms AND more white people in America overall, the overall viewership scale tips towards Caitlin. Those are facts! But to say people don’t watch because of Angel Reese is just plain incorrect. Once again, you may want to ask more people who look like me (especially BLACK WOMEN who are new viewers) who they watch the WNBA for. Or maybe Black women just aren’t important to you.

With the majority of America being white of course Caitlin will bring more however Angel is bringing eyeballs from the black community as well. Clark is a special player shooting 3’s from half court and her passing vision is off the charts. Angel is a special talent as well. Her rebounding skills are off the charts and she can score. Does Dan Patrick hear himself when he talks for 10 minutes? Caitlin Clark's celebrity is only reaching the levels that it is because of Angel Reese and other WNBA players. Everyone knows the role that Magic and Larry had in the resurgence of the NBA in the 1980s. It was not one person, it was both of them, plus Dr J, working off each other. If Caitlin Clark did not have the issues with Angel Reese and others, very few people would still care about the WNBA. Patrick mentioning golf is absurd, that's an individual sport. Mentioning Gretzky going to the LA Kings is absurd, he was already one of the top two players in NHL history. Messi was already an all-time great, and soccer is one of the most watched sports in the world. These are weak comparisons by a dude who has to make things up about this, since Clark is not one of the five best players in the WNBA. The best part is when one of the guys says, "Welcome to life as a woman" [4:15], he is right but Patrick does not really want to accept it. The league was picking up steam, and having this rookie class without the Great Savior factor would have been better for the league. Because interest from guys will fade before this WNBA season is over. Few guys will return after the Olympic break since the NFL preseason will already have started. It's fine to be annoyed at the gatekeepers, but then don't start telling the league or players what they should do about Clark. Guys do like the mindset, "Don't stop me from telling you what to do!" Like "What her teammates need to do... And the commissioner of the WNBA has got to..." [5:00], 40 seconds after complaining about the gatekeepers, while wagging his finger. Does he know what his entire thought is? After the hit by Alyssa Thomas on Angel Reese, Reese said that she was fine with the play. But Patrick has to weigh in, and talk about "injury waiting to happen when she fell". [5:30] Does he think Reese is made of porcelain? Clark had a great flop when Reese knocked her down with about 3 min left of the Fever-Sky game. But go ahead and lie about whether "Reese is jealous of Caitlin Clark" [6:30] because Patrick has mindreading abilities into Reese's psyche. "She thinks she's the reason why this is all happening" Can a person's words be more misconstrued? Well, yes, what Diana Taurasi said to SVP was pretty twisted by tons of guys commenting on it. But of course, guys know when a woman is jealous... Reese didn't say this happened because of her, she said it happened because of their game. But Patrick has the omniscience to know that Clark was "going to get eyeballs". But seriously, why is her style of play so exciting? Most guys have been asking for the net to be lowered so more women can dunk. And yes, we're fixated with Steph, and Clark is the female Steph, except Ionescu is also like that. If Clark had gone to one of the bigger college programs like South Carolina, Stanford, or UConn, we would probably be talking about her a lot less, because she doesn't have the athleticism of Michael, the strength of LeBron, or the size of Wemby. She's Curry coming out of Davidson, who needed 5 years before becoming an All Star. And she's still at collegiate level strength, not WNBA level. Just look at how she crumpled to the floor from the screen Breanna Stewart set. Last year's MVP. Clark has captured the imagination because of the story around her, which includes the villains like Reese. Otherwise, we'd be yawning. And yes, "now, everybody wants to have an opinion on this" [7:20], like Patrick who "clutters, muddies up everything the women have tried to do". Does he have the self-awareness to realize that he is part of the problem he is describing? "It was personal with her" [8:30] more of Patrick's mindreading as he has an opinion on this and muddies up everything. And he's telling on himself, he wants a rivalry. Yet he's diminishing Reese's role in the role, when they've both only been in the league for a month.

Competition at its best I love it. Everybody has their own reasons for tuning in. The last 3 years that I've been tuning in to watch the WNBA it's because of the Las Vegas Aces and A'ja Wilson who in my opinion is the best player in the WNBA and it's not even close whoever the 2nd best player it's miles apart. I do think they are going to get that 3-PEAT 🏆🏆🏆. I was watching this league and I have the package for both the WNBA and the NBA before Caitlin Clark and Angela Reese came to this League. But everybody has their own reasons and it's got to be respected. It's a rough League No doubt from hard fouls to scratching and clawing and jawing. These women aren't going to apologize they aren't going to lift you up off the floor if they knock you down you're lucky if you get a handshake 🤝 a lot of these women are tough like bulldogs and some are even junkyard dogs it ain't no game here you get no love. Player clotheslined, Angel Reese was ejected from the game. And she was a star player too …

The reason they hate on CC, other than her complexion, is that she reveals that you can make money as a woman baller and that there is no deliberate effort by men to not watch the games out of spite. But since the goal of the organization is not to make money, but to push a certain agenda, they can't have the truth come out.

The dumbest thing Dan Patrick has ever said. Caitlin Clark has 2.4 million Instagram followers while Angel Reese has 3.3 million Instagram followers. 900k more people are following Angel than Caitlin because she has a huge fan base. When was the last time the star player on the college women's national championship team was not popular? We knew about Candace Parker, Britney Griner, Maya More, Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi before Caitlin Clark was playing college ball. As for ratings, he WNBA ratings was up 23% last year.

All Caitlin does is basketball, Reese has basketball, she models, and she’s part owner of a soccer team 👀

Speak for yourself. You are noticing The Game Now because of CC. I've been watching the WNBA for A'ja Wilson for 4 years. It's not against CC. Everyone watch the game for a reason. People also watch the game because of Breanna Stewart. She's a hell of player by the way.

What has happened to the beautiful game of basketball? I am tired of hearing the women play a physical game. It is time to focus on the beautiful game. The agenda against CC must end. Allow CC to play the game and show her talent.

No, it was not just a 'hard foul', it was a targeted blindside knockdown away from the ball. The ball was not even in play. It was a personal attack, tell it how it is. Yes the commissioner should be the person doing something about it. There should be a multi game suspension and fines for Chenedy's verbal and physical attack on CC, and one game ejection for the Reese hard foul. Neither should be happening. Most people don't want to watch this physical vendetta BS in women's sports. Be civilized, women are supposed to have less testosterone. Call for T levels and anabolic steroid testing in the W. May be why some women are getting an edge, and raging. Women's BB is not supposed to be men's BB, or a contact sport, where is following rules, the family friendly and civility part of the game? If the WNBA has always been like this, no wonder it got little attention- I predict, if this continues, the attention will fade away again.

My primary concern is the safety of the players and the integrity of the game. I was outraged when Angel Reese got violently floored, but at least the person who fouled her got ejected. A suspension would also have been appropriate. You don't stop people like Draymond Green by slapping them on the wrist. The penalties must be sufficient to deter the actions. If the WNBA does not enforce the rules of their game, they make a mockery of it.

I think in some degree the veterans are wanting to show that they can play too and perhaps shut down Clark or Reese. They all see Clark getting 30 plus million from sponsors while they may be working for 100k per year. Reese is in the same rookie class that was getting paid millions in college. I am sure there is some resentment from the women that never had a chance to make millions in college. Some of these veteran women are the best women basketball players in the world and may not make 30 million in their career and their window is closing. If this girl is worth 30 mil and I go out and shut her down and have a better game than her, how much am I worth? That's part of the target that is on Caitlin's back and Angel to some extent thru no fault of their own.

I don't have an issue with new fans to something I've been a fan of for years. What gets a bit under my skin are the Caitlin fans, I'm sure not a majority but a loud minority, who have never watched a WNBA game and couldn't name five players before Caitlin yelling down people who have actually followed the sport. Worse yet, saying coach Sides should be fired before the first game for saying Caitlin had things to learn and adjustments to be made to reach her potential in the Pros. Everything Sides said was 100% true. Then first game they try and make a stinker of a game, and Caitlin was the biggest contributor to that loss by a long shot, sound like the greatest debut ever. The loss was blamed on Sides 'not letting Caitlin be Caitlin', 'putting Caitlin on a short leash'.... When actually the Fever lost so badly BECAUSE Clark played the game as she played in College and hadn't adjusted to a faster, more physical, more athletic game with much better players. Caitlin's usage rate, 3s taken... matched to with in a percentage point to her average NCAA stat line her senior season. They don't even really cheer for her, they are too preoccupied with Stanning and White Knighting. The Caitlin fans I'm talking about don't even have the most basic level of basketball knowledge yet in their ignorance they will argue that actual players, coaches and former players and coaches know less than they do. Average Clark fan be: "Caitlin is the bestest thing to ever happen to basketball, it's like it didn't exist before her Coming. I'd never heard of it so was it even a thing before Caitlin? I don't know why the Fever keep putting those other four players on the court, can't Sides see they're just in Caitlin's way!"
