Amazing content! Guangdong is one of those unique places in China that we pretty much use anything we could as food or medication ingredients. If you happen to stop by Guangzhou, I’ll be happy to show you around and explain some local ingredients in food, drinks and medicine. That grassy plant you saw in the shop is called 鸡骨草, we use that for soup with mostly pork ribs or just pork meat, it’s said to have the effect to “cool ur body down” from 上火。

and the white chalk-like white pieces are probably dried Chinese yam (aka Wai san/Huaishan/淮山). no idea what the bottles of white powdering things are though. other bottles look like they could be things like dried shellfish pieces, there's quite a few bags of guopi (they don't look aged enough to be considered chenpi), maybe some are huamei, the long strips of brown could be dried ginger? there looks to be a bottle of dried small apricots(杏脯)? if there's things that look like beige wrinkly sticks that's probably angelica root, etc...

2:11 When I was a kid, people from remote villages used to bring cows and water buffaloes ("kerbau" in Indonesia) into my hometown, I often see them in certain places e.g. roadside and open field. I think they're no longer seen now except during Eid al-Adha day, maybe a livestock farm have been built somewhere.

I think those slices of hard white stuff for soup is called 椎山. It's often used in a mix with barley, dried longan and other herbs. Depending on the region, the mix is made into a sweet soup or with meat into a salted soup. You can buy it packaged from an herb shop or food market as 清補涼.

What an amazing experience you have , I can see how excited you are and I’m so happy for you to see the smile you have through your biking on the quiet road and little chicken 😍and how fun to show people the software use that can help people a better way to learn any new languages . Cantonese people seems really likes to drink soup . It’s indeed surprising to see how massive the school building is in a country side which shows China government and Chinese people really cares about their children to have good academic skill and how important the education is to their younger generation. It is so relaxing to watch you bike in a country road . Your nonstop exploring will continue providing more energy, hopes and surprises to many people around the world including me . This is another interesting video for us to see one of the most relaxed and beautiful country sides in Canton with many interesting herb medicine comes from ...
