The fact that he's smiling while saying he might of had his accident there is crazy

I came here to see if I was the only one who was upset at how he kept smiling and laughing when he would talk about the "accident" as he so put it.. I'm surprised the judge didn't say anything to him.. but has a huge cross on the wall which indicates they are Christians. He should have been more sympathetic. And the fact that she said she had to get a priest to clean the house of evil spirits was also messed up. She didn't have to say evil spirits. She simply could have said to cleanse the house. To me she implied the son had evil spirits and they were left there when he died.. smh

The in-your-face religion becomes a smokescreen for doing the wrong thing. The majority of believers tend to be trying to do the right thing, but the ones that go to court wearing a large cross, or obvious religion-based clothing or headgear, or, like this, deliberately frame their video to prominently display the cross and the prayer on the wall, these are the ones not to trust.

The defendant laughing is frustrating (I hope it's just nerves). They have at least one child. This is every parent's (any parent who loves their child/ren) worst nightmare. I understand the landlords not wanting to do the walkthrough without having the house blessed but it's unacceptable how long they waited for their priest. They should have found another priest. A whole month went by without anyone entering to see how the tenants actually left the premises. Now, the defendant's speculation on how things were damaged is certainly possible and under the circumstances probably true. But I think it's pretty negligent not having someone perform a walkthrough when the tenants vacated the property, because what if someone broke into the home during that month because they knew the house was empty? (Not what I think, but it could easily have happened) Someone taking their life is unfortunately "news" that spreads quickly, especially in this technological time we live in. So I'm sure many people knew/assumed the house was completely empty. They should have asked someone else to do the walkthrough or found someone else to bless the home sooner. I'll finish this by saying I assume the defendants' intentions weren't bad, but the way the husband laughed when talking about the damages and the wife wanting to charge for the carpet cleaning despite telling the plaintiff their daughter wanted new carpeting was disappointing. I hope and pray anyone reading this never experiences the pain, loss, and grief the plaintiff and many others have. My heart goes out to anyone who's ever lost a loved one, especially to suicide or violence 🙏 Edit: Oh...and I'm surprised the defendants felt comfortable allowing their daughter to move in after the incident. They were too afraid to simply walk through the house. Priest or no priest, none of my children would be living there. If they live in a small town or have nosey neighbors, the house/apartment is going to be a tough sell. In my state, they don't have to outright tell potential renters or buyers about the suicide but they can't lie or withhold the details if asked. I don't know many people who knowingly want to live in a house/home with that history.

Unfortunately, just because someone seems happy over a job or another change in their life, doesn't mean they're not internally depressed and suicidal. This is why people need to focus on their loved ones and often check up on them and how they're feeling. You never know what's going on inside their minds.
@Anglynn742 жыл бұрын
lots of people go through that though. everyone gets sad, everyone at some point has been depressed. depression doesn't always mean someone needs mental help or that they're going to commit suicide. THAT is the real problem, people not knowing enough about what's normal in life and what isn't, what's stressful; in life and what isn't.

Milian pissed me off today 🤬. How DARE SHE sit up on her throne and say that people who commit suicide are now on the other side regretting it? Seriously? As if being in this world is not torture enough. Many people just do not want to be here, so they take themselves out. They are not crazy, they are not cowards. They just don't want to live anymore. That is not a difficult concept to understand. Look at the world around us. That is why I did not have kids. Why force people into this world just to suffer and be wage slaves? If I had the choice whether or not to be born, I would have told my mother to terminate and leave me in blissful oblivion. I have done well for myself in life, but given the option I would prefer not to have ever been born. Sorry if this anger people, but as a veteran nurse I have seen too much suffering of people who have confessed these very things to me.

Exactly It's my choice to end it. The government has enough to do with us being born in slave's. When it's time I will return to the earth. I watched my mom struggle with Huntington's disease and I knew I would make a difference in my life. It's my choice not anyone else.

If you are currently considering suicide, please do not make a permanent decision for a temporary problem. Everything is temporary! If that doesn't mean anything to you consider the ones who love you and the pain you'll be inflicting on them. You'll be gone, but their lifelong pain is just beginning. Not to mention the financial burden to come. Please think twice.

Judge should have never awarded anything for the gate on the siding. If the landlord didn't care enough to provide evidence, you don't get it. You don't have to replace the siding either. You can patch it to where it's the same color of the house and it won't leak.

I appreciate the way they staged their little Christian trinkets on the wall behind them. Who hangs a crucifix that high on the wall, unless they really wanted it to be in frame of the camera. Why is it that people who profess so loudly they are good Christians are often the most self centered people among us. I look forward to their day of judgement.

I’m shocked that the judge didn’t double the amount she was returning to the plaintiff. She always doubles the amount where it’s required!! How can she say that they didn’t deserve to be penalised when to the plaintiffs face, they acted one way and said one thing I.e “oh don’t worry about the carpets we are replacing them” - then charge her to clean them even though they are still replacing them. Then “of course you can get out of your leases… our daughter will be moving in there” - then penalise her for cutting the lease short. “Yes you can put up a gate” with no questions asked but the judge penalises the plaintiff for it! How did they think the gate was going to stand?! And as for the door, they hadn’t returned to the house for over a month! How does anybody not think about the fact that someone could have potentially tried to break in, in that time span?! The judge was really unfair to this plaintiff, especially considering she is much more tougher with litigants who actually have some kind of proof! These defendants had no proof of anything and in situations where there is no proof, the judge usually says “well that’s too bad, you knew you were coming here today and without any proof/photos/quotes, it doesn’t exist and you’re out of luck”

Judge couldn't have been more fair. The landlords should have had photographic evidence of the damaged door unless the picture is showing that the tenant made that shoddy repair after the door was kicked in then that makes sense. I agree with the judge on the carpet, you don't tell the tenant, "don't worry about the carpet, our daughter wants new carpet anyway". Doesn't matter if they changed their mind, the cleaning costs is on them. Good call judge, you are right! I am a bit disgusted they were trying to get her for "breaking the lease". As a landlady myself, seems to me they were trying to use up her deposit without properly deducting legitimate damages.

i wish we had the same laws in Norway. if you live together for many many years - but the one has children ( before ) . even if the children are adults when you meet and move together - if you take care of your spouse for YEARS ..You STILL have nothing to say the day the spouse die. the children can come and take everything.. ( only what you can proove is yours belongs to you) ..Even if the children have not seen their parent for 50 years - the day they die they kids can come and take it.. the only thing you can give away in a testament is after the children has taken stuff including money - for 220.000 dollars each.. If anything is left you can have it if it is testamented to you... if your children steal from you all your life, hit you, and abuse you .. as long is it can not be prooven in court ( and even if - it seldom leads anywhere) you can NOT keep your children out of the will and they STILL are entiteled to items/money to the value of 220.000 dollars .. horrible laws.

The landlords obviously have had a blessed life without any trauma of loss. Particularly the loss of a child who took their own life with no apparent reason and didn't leave a note. The poor mom will forever feel guilt over what she might have missed and could have helped with. There is absolutely no way I could charge any money. Actually I would have offered to pack the belongings and pay for a mover to take the stuff to her. I would never expect the mom to have to set foot in my home where her child killed himself. Karma will get those two 1000 fold for their unsympathetic actions. Bad, bad people.

I think that people who want to withhold $125 for the cost to replace the pipe that broke when the tenant's son hung himself from it must have no souls. Yeah, it stinks to eat that cost and the others, but you chalk it up to just one of those things and return the security deposit in full just to take one thing off the poor tenant's plate in her time of crisis. These people are straight up jerks.
