IMO, people are looking to demonize Ariana, not the movie. I feel like people perceive hating her as the cool thing to do now so they’ll find ways to bring her down as a way to conform to society norms. A lot of people don’t think for themselves and it’s pretty sad. Today they love you tomorrow they hate you.

Bigger star gets paid more, doesn’t matter who the main person is. Terrance Howard got paid 5 million for Ironman 1 & RDJ only got like 1/2 million. Changed after the first one but TH was the bigger star before hand so he got the big pay. That’s just one example.

Exactly. Ariana Grande is the bigger star than Cynthia is right now. That's why she got paid more. That is how the industry works. I'm sure that'll change for Cynthia soon, as the movie got a very successful opening at the Box Office its first weekend, so we'll see.

People just love to hate on Ariana because it’s the mainstream thing to do now and that’s honestly pretty lame. It’s giving big pick me energy. You don’t have to be an Ariana fan to see that 15m for someone in Ariana’s caliber is fair when you consider how much money she could’ve made by going on a tour to support her #1 album Eternal Sunshine. She couldn’t go on tour because she was too busy with the movie. And you don’t have to be a genius to understand the amount of attention someone like Ariana can bring to the movie. Literally one of the biggest pop stars of our time. If people believe Cynthia should have been paid more, they need to take it with Universal, and leave Ariana out of this. Especially if the same people choose to conveniently ignore the fact that Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh both got paid twice as much as Cinthya for smaller roles than Ariana’s. That’s hypocrisy.

People need to understand that more famous actors are always paid more in movies because they attract the audience. Despite being an acress, singer, Ariana also served as a massive marketing campaign for the movie. I have nothing against Cynthia Erivo, but I had never heard of her before this movie, and I wouldn’t have bothered watching it if she were the sole lead. In any case, if they’re both getting equal pay - good for them.
