I took this idea to the range today and it was a eureka moment for sure. I've been reading dozens of golf books over the last 6 years and trying my damndest to start outside and come inside to the ball (the illusive slot). I've been getting stuck and hurting my back for far too long. Today was just unbelievable. I started with easy swings and everything was going dead straight or slightly drawing. Then I decided to try and launch a few 5 woods with everything I had and the results were unreal. The swing allows me to feel that for the first time in my golfing life, I can finally transfer a tremendous amount of power to the ball. I feel like I'm striking a piece of wood with and axe and that I can swing that axe as fast as I want. I can't wait to take this to the course! Thank you!
@sandman42242 жыл бұрын
It's the swing Mike Austin taught - C7 is the rotational axis point at the top of the :A". Both legs take turns being an extension of the spine. Open the gate and close the gate. Do some slow motion on him or Mike Dunaway and see the same features.

With Christo I agree on the “width” emphasis in the backswing - and think about it; you are going to get “less wide” as soon as you get up to the top of the backswing. The most important thing is a complete backswing, and for a host of reasons...
@MiracleSwingExperience2 жыл бұрын
Right? Width sounds good. But, the swing is a circle and the train tracks ruined me for years!

Interesting . Johnny Revolta was teaching me this swing in 1968 when I was 16

You have got to check out Mike Austin!! So so similar and so was Mike Dunaway one of the original long drivers. He posts into the lead leg and hits with a throw low and left

What a swing, what a guy. His father was a teaching pro. Mr Hogan and Nelson often house visitors. Jackie’s book “ It’s only a game “ is a classic. Unsurpassed golf wisdom sprinkled throughout . Simple swing gems, just adopt what you need

Nice video? Congrats on your OTT Evolution. Lately I've been focusing on the weightless arm transition from the top to the pull and the left wrist square. It made a huge difference in consistency.
@MiracleSwingExperience2 жыл бұрын
Are you kind of "float loading" it?
@sull01102 жыл бұрын
Yeah, like suspending it at the top---relaxed upper body....Slightly faster back swing to generate the height--patient transition....Then a explosive pull if the distance requires it.

I really enjoyed Jackie Burke's book, It's Only a Game. Thank you for showing us his beautiful golf swing. After watching the videos of Tom Watson, Bobby Jones, Fuzzy Zoeller and you, the thing that comes to my mind is, as a 68 year old man I can't get into those positions. But when I watch Moe Norman's swing I think maybe I could do that. Are there any similarities in the OTT Miracle swing and the single plane swing of Moe as taught by Todd Graves? I do like miracles!

On the intro: 100% right on. Straight back sucks! In and up! Jackie Burke, Hogan, Snead, Moe Norman, Bobby Jones, Elkington, etc etc. In, is just following the natural circle that you body pivot creates...swing with it (I'd add, limit your lateral head movement also, swing around a center - like all these greats did)

Also watch Colin Montgomerie or Bobby Jones swing. They have removed the rigidity of the club shaft. They all swing the club like it is a heavy rope.

Christo, how do you avoid pulls
@MiracleSwingExperience2 жыл бұрын
Ball further forward and a weaker grip.
@louislane19682 жыл бұрын
I’ll add this and I don’t understand why it isn’t widely discussed in the teaching world, but it works wonderfully well for me. I’ve won 2 club championships, for what that’s worth. Anyway, the key for me to avoid hooks/pulls is to maintain my lead hand grip pressure through impact. For a right handed golfer, that’s the left hand. Make sure your lead/left hand grip pressure is firm just before and through impact! This provides a stable club face at impact preventing it from turning to the left. The ball travels left due to the face pointing left at impact, it’s that simple. Give this a try, hope it helps!
@thomassteeley97342 жыл бұрын
A snap hook is something to avoid, but I've decided to simply play the pull by aligning further right, as a right hander. As golfers we're taught to avoid pulling the ball despite it going further than a "normal" shot. I feel like adjusting aim and alignment makes more sense.

Inside on the backswing and then move out to get back on plane on downswing. Not the best way to do it. Snead and Jones did but you would not do that today.
