That wife who keeps defending her husband's weird friend needs to take a step back and realize that being a creep "just being a part of his personality" doesn't really excuse his creepy behavior. That guy gets a pass bc they've been friends forever, but if he was introduced to them new, she would realize he's a gross weirdo 🤢

My worst nightmare is someone knowing my partner is cheating on me and not telling me. Don't sit back and let me waste years of my life on someone who you know is taking advantage of me😩 It's physically nauseating to me to imagine.
@a_o011 Жыл бұрын
I agree. While I do think she shouldn't be too involved because she isn't friends with them, I also think the widow and fiancé are being taken advantage of (If the couple haven't talked about a thruple). Because the widow is going through a roller coaster of emotions and the the fiancé is obviously in love they aren't going to be thinking about the fact that they are hurting anyone or being hurt in the fiancé's case. Again unless it's a possible thruple. My point is lol while it's a bit nosy I think the babysitter, when/if the opportunity arises should bring that up to the fiancé and ask if there is a possibility of them being open to that. If the fiancé isn't... then in my personal opinion she should let the fiancé know. Because this infidelity before they are even married should be addressed and questioned.
@anonymixx81068 ай бұрын
On top of that, I would lose the friendship for real. That's not care, it's enablement... And it even implies that they potentially wanted to see me suffer..... At the least, if you can't be honest with me while I'm suffering, just get out so that I can see that I need more help of another kind.

Second caller re:her husband and their “friend” I hope you read this. The amount of times you kept repeating “I don’t mind being asked this I don’t mind I don’t mind” How little mental space have you given yourself to proactively pick friends you LIKE. seriously, he’s not a boss or a relative. Friendships and positive social engagement is not about what you “don’t mind” that’s not what friends are. They’re not people whose completely inappropriate and disrespectful behavior is supposed be something you “don’t mind”. You shouldn’t have friends who weird you out. Or brazenly disrespect your relationship status. It’s completely possible to be a flirtatious person and not do it with people who are not appropriate to flirt with. That’s not “just how he is”. Theres nothing harmless or funny about a grown man that things provoking people or being “controversial”, getting a reaction from people, that that is intimacy or friendship to him. He sounds like a total dick tbh. I’m very sex positive but the idea of a man asking me what me and my spouse do in bed is so disgusting and crass. There’s something extra gross about that person being intoxicated when they do it. You weren’t obligated to participate just bc you “don’t mind”. Bc 1. You should mind dude. And 2. Bc he is into you, you know why he asked that. Sharing your husbands kinks with a “friend” who already disrespects him as your husband is ammo that your “friend” is likely so excited to have. That sucks. You’re not obligated to keep a friend just bc you “don’t mind” all this bizarre and disrespectful crap they say and do… it sucks when a creep like this is part o like a friend group but like esp in group settings, I think you owe it to both you and your husband to create some distance from this creep. based on the fact that he’s shamelessly crushing on you and asking about how you have sex… like you gotta know this is not someone who is a positive addition to your life.
@ernestinataleb1265 Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Just want to add: it really worries me (and very obviously Miles and the guests) that this creep is taking advantage of his proximity to you and your laid-back ‘open-book’ persona. It was VERY inappropriate that he asked you that and the fact that he doesn’t feel ashamed or apologized to you means he doesn’t really see you as a friend. He sees you as an object to pursue. Please distance yourself from this person and tell your husband. You’re not starting drama, you’re alerting your partner that someone close to them is crossing a line. I agree with the previous commenter, I worry that now that this creep knows this thing, he might try to drop a bomb in your marriage so that he can swoop in to pick up the pieces. Also: you can be an open book and be friendly with people, but still also have boundaries. There are certain people out there who will try and push those boundaries or be upset that you have any boundaries at all. These are not people you want to be friends with. It sounds like there were other people at that party and in your friend groups. Please spend more time with…like…anyone else.
@123kgo Жыл бұрын
This is just my opinion, but to me she seemed like she was at least SORT OF into it and probably likes the attention she gets from that "friend." I don't see any other reason why she would even entertain that question.
@zerocraic39664 ай бұрын
@@123kgoi didnt get any inkling of that mainly bc i know so many doormat women esp, who giggle their way out of rude, disgusting interactions like this and really play down how upsetting it actually is. Idk deranged guys like this make tou confused in thd moment, you dont jnow why you’re participating or answering its very embarrassing and confusing after. My exhusband was like this. Not about sexual stuff specifically but he very proudly would tell me how in school hed talk some sorta embarrassing thung out of “losers” at his school and then would use it to torment them.

I feel like seeing someone go through a lot of specific pain and loss makes us think it’s gonna happen at any waking moment, cuz trauma is wild like that. And the trauma never goes away it’s just like u deal with it and that feels so human, and it’s oddly comforting hearing people go through the same thing (in various ways)

I too lost my vision to Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, about 4 years ago. It's a mitochondrial DNA mutation that is passed from mothers to children, and the vast majority of people who are affected by it are males. If you experience any vision issues at all, from photophobia to Charles Bonnet Syndrome, or any blur in your central vision, go to your opthalmologist or neurological opthalmologist. I have optic nerve pain 24/7/365 now. It's a HUGE adjustment. But life continues. By the by, I've listened to the podcast as soon as it comes out, from the very first one. Love it. :)

I lost my mom three years ago (when I was 25), I had to take care of my grandma after that who was slowly slipping into dementia and lost her as well as my grandpa since. My dad started dating someone three months after my mom passed which i couldnt and still cant really understand. I felt so incredibly alone in all this grief. I was very depressed for over two years until I got medication. Things are looking so much better now, but I just want to say thank you for sharing your own stories of surviving these hard times of loss. It makes me feel seen, understood and a lot less alone. My friends tried to be there for me but they just couldnt understand that *everything* was different after. So thank you!

I’m never on the side of the cheater. I would always tell the person getting cheated on especially if it’s someone I know. And I think it’s wrong to keep that to yourself. Bc most people would want to be told or find out. It’s just the kind thing to do. Otherwise you know I hope you get cheated on no offense. That being said if ur boss is cheating don’t let ur boss know you told the person. Either do what they said or what I’d do is try to leave the person getting cheated on an Easter egg so THEY find out. And that way YOU “stay out of it”

I truly don't think that the second caller has conceptualized how truly bizarre what that "friend" is doing truly is, like this isn't a "it's just his personality, he's funny like that" type moment, this is really weird and disrespectful behavior, especially when he's being described as "flirty" with his friend's wife. The way I see it, this could be one of two ways 1. You are so open because you like the attention that he's giving you, hence why you're being so forgiving of your husband's friend flirting, having a "little crush" on you, and ultimately being a complete creep about your business. 2. He's taking advantage of you being an open person to gradually get closer and potentially cause problems in your marriage, and you're being forgiving because in your eyes he could do no wrong, he's your husband's long-time friend, why would he try something? Regardless of which one it is, you need to evaluate why you're keeping that "friend" around and alert your partner about him/cut him off or figure out why it is that you are craving this weirdo's attention to begin with. It's not a good idea to stick around and find out just how many red flags he can raise before something comes of it, just drop the dude, no guy like that has good intentions

Subway is literally the least profitable franchise out there. My parents owned 5 of them until I was 15 and each store cannibalized the profits from the next. There's no restrictions of how close franchise owners can build the stores together, and it's relatively cheap and to open one (about 10k?). I have no clue how any Subways are still open, especially with the amount of fines corporate leverages against its franchisees for shit like a failed update on the cash register.
