Great car and Video. I hope you enjoy your LS every day as I do. I have a 2007 LS460 with 311K miles on it. Yes, over 300K and the engine and transmission are just perfect. I have replaced the Lower Control arms and other parts. But by far, this is one of the best cars out there.
@Tiberius_IАй бұрын
That's actually pretty amazing, to go 311,000 miles in any car - whoever owned it before you pampered and over-maintained it, exactly the kind of treatment these phenomenal cars deserve! I went to the Lexus website and searched my VIN and it told me all the service it got at least whatever got done by Lexus dealers. I found out my 2017 got a battery 2 years previously and even had its ATF flushed about the same time. The one important decision I made was to ignore the owners manual and use 5w-30 oil. 0w-20 is much too thin, and the car seems to indicate that too, becaue of how much quieter the engine idles now. The reason I switched oil is because I discovered that in all other countries EXCEPT for the USA, Lexus says you CAN use 5w-30 and even 15w-40 in your LS460 if you choose! Only in the USA owner's manual do they basically "insist" you use only 0w-20. Nope, not for my car!

It's classy and definitely turns you into a pimp for sure. My only main regret is getting the AWD version of the L. It's the heaviest variant and makes working on the car more difficult due to the front differential. Aside from that though, I knew I made a good choice

Hi, we have the same car from 2007 in gold color, just about 90 k miles, I have had the front control arms rebuilt with new poly bushings about five years ago and they work perfectly, cost was about 20% of what the Lexus dealer wanted to replace the arms, and with air suspension the ride quality did not seem to change, we keep up on all fluid and filter changes and have had no problems with anything except the trunk exterior button, I have not been brave enough to tackle that. We put about 3 k miles a year on it so I just do one oil and filter change a year, about time to do this year, so I just ordered 10 quarts of Valvoline 0-20w Clean and protect full synthetic oil to try in it as the oil never gets dirty. If I were you I would put back on the original wheels. I hope you have fun with this.
