This is so good and so important - and well beyond just perfumes too... could be a recipe, clothing, books, paintings, a poem or record albums too. How we, as humans, come to things is sometimes so much more important and profound than the actual "content" of what lies within. The moment is perhaps the most important element. Pep, this is brilliance, thank you brother... there are so many things in my life that I don't use or embrace daily, wouldn't necessarily make a personal/mental top 10 list of, *yet* I am absolutely attached to me... be it the Chris Whitley album that my wife bought me on our honeymoon, a completely worn out pair of drumsticks from my most important gig on my way up the musical ladder from when I was a young upstart in the New York jazz scene, the first bottle of perfume my soon-to-be wife bought me while we were courting one another or the bottle of Chanel No. 5 I took from my mom's dresser top after carrying her casket to her final resting place earlier that day in May, 1997. We don't have to *use* something to absolutely love & cherish it. This is what makes humanity so amazing ~ the evocation of our memories paired to feelings.

I feel the same about perfumes purchased on holidays… one in particular that I bought in Paris I wore throughout all of my European holiday. Every time I wear it, it brings my holiday memory back to me.. luckily I bought a backup bottle because now it’s discontinued. With my 300+ perfumes, It’s still my all time favorite perfume. Xx

It's interesting, myrrh and frankincense evoke that focussed 'seriousness' in me too. As for professionalism, it's usually an astringent citrus-woody, often with a floral neroli. Colonia Intensa is a perfect example. My "button-up and GET IT" fragrance. 😂 Thanks for sharing Pep!

Whenever I smell The Matcha 26 I think of London the first time I went back to London after Covid restrictions and the normality of travelling was back. I went to Le Labo for a bottle of Baie 19 and The Matcha 26 had just been released and they sprayed it on my wrists and walking around London the scent just wrapped itself around me. And it reminds me of walking by The Thames to Borough Market just happy to be in London again.

I drive and unload a tractor trailer. I apply my scent of the day and when I go into work I am greeted with “Here comes the French Whore”. I am confident none of them know firsthand what a French sex worker smells like. The customers I deliver to, mostly ladies seem to appreciate my choices….and so does my wife. I have to admit, I wear clones and cheapies to work. Just doesn’t seem like the correct environment for Dior Homme Parfum.

This has been a great idea for a video. I can relate to this so much. Our top meditative scent is the same as well! I’ve actually been wearing that one so much lately- it just makes me feel calm and still. Another note that evokes emotion with me is Fig - it really makes me feel safe and comforted. Today I’m wearing Myrrhe Ardente by Annick Goutal- have you tried it Pep? That’s another one which I find meditative ☺️ Hope you’re having a good week ☺️
