Ok I know I'm way late here - I only just discovered you and I've been hungrily binge-watching your videos all afternoon lol - but I have to ask, when do we get the 102 course?? 😃

Thank you for this video. It gave me a lot of insight! Me and my partner are a ESTJ + ISFP-couple of 14 years (both in our mid 30s), so we have Te (dom) - Fi (low) and vice verca. We had our hurdles but I guess because we had a lot and good communication from the start and also felt the aspiration you were talking about, it worked out pretty well for us. I love that we have learnd so much from eath other. I wouldn't want it any other way (me being the ESTJ) - but he tells me, he feels the same! he knows he is one of the few people I have deep empathy for and the only person who knows my silly side because I don't feel like I have to portray a certain image of myself towards him. you mentioned this feeling of exclusiveness and I know is true for us. We have our reoccuring discussions like that he focusses on how things are said (tone) and I focus on what is said (sematnics). So I sometimes sound to harsh for him and he can't specify exactly what he means - that's where we clash. But we have gotten to a point where we are very quick to identify these patterns and move past a conflict like that. We have seen that we have a very different approach to life from the getgo, but when I came across the MBTI-personality types about 4 years ago we finally had some labels for it :D And I as a ESTJ love being able to categorize my world with these types - he doesn't care so much about the label :D That's why I am quite happy I came across your channel now!

The tone thing 100 percent. I want him to just listen to my words not my tone. Also he gets a tone all of the time I just ignore it because I know from how I feel when I have a tone that he isn’t doing it on purpose and I wish he would give me the same grace. How did you guys work through this.

As a entp i get on well with intps, but we think alike, so i like intjs better romantically or work ,tho challenging i like their way of thinking as it helps me grow. I like infps, my son is one,but i find esfps difficult, their fi and isfps .. love enfp and infps as they really do help in how i feel faster.

Dear Dr Cherie. Big fan of your LIB analyses..Learning a lot. But as far as I see you never analysed an ENFP in the dating shows… Is this coincidence or because they/we just are not selected for Love is Blind?

How do you feel about infj/ENFP combo?
@AiResearcherPhD10 ай бұрын
Very good if they are both secure and mentally healthy. They are also known as Shadow Pairing - they have Complementary functions and they can read each other. That’s why it’s a not a good thing if one of them is unhealthy.

I find this super interesting!! My fiance and I are ENFJ/INFP which seems like a pretty good match! My question is are you making an educated guess on each contestants personality type? I found another site that had their mbti types listed and they were slightly different than yours....i'm just curious if their test results are available somewhere online or if your using your years of experience to make a best guess - thanks!!
@DrCherieTypes2 жыл бұрын
It is known that the online self test are inaccurate because people have access to all their functions when they are left alone to think. Taking the test several times could lead to different results. Or their functions are near “50% probability”. If you don’t have access to an expert analysis, have a close friend take the test for you. With a trained eye, observing how people use their functions in social situations will reveal their biases towards specific functions. It’s easier to analyze a person’s interaction with another person because you can see the different perceptions and judgements in the same situation. Finally this is a soft science. Meaning there is no established standard. Every expert will have their own system of defining a function or type. Go with the expert that makes sense to you, look for consistency, and their definitions behind the letters.

@@DrCherieTypes Very good explanation! The main observation here is when people are in that relationship with a significant other. It can be very different than someone's behaviour at work with colleagues. I study somatic developmental psychology and although I do not use this personality model at all, your deductions seem to be pretty accurate. Thank you so much!

I'm watching the Reunion. I cannot stand Zanab. I really think she made up that story, like intuitively she's false. Cole's not perfect, but he seems genuine in his idiocracy. Lol

I'm so curious to know what you think of Alexa as I typed her, INTP and her husband I typed as an ENFJ?
@DrCherieTypes2 жыл бұрын
I think Alexa is ENTJ and Brennon is ISFJ - high chemistry, very different personalities, but will work as long as Brennon is happy for her to wear the trousers 24/7 4eva more 👖
@recoveryinreel2 жыл бұрын
@@DrCherieTypes Really an ISFJ? I thought you might think that. Haha. My husband is an ISFJ. I look forward to your eye when it comes to her breakdown. She seems a bit cold for an ENTJ, and not as likeable? Lol. I find them to be captivating, authoritative and if unhealthy interestingly selfish. Alexa presents so close minded and boring, No shade to her though.
@recoveryinreel2 жыл бұрын
@@DrCherieTypes I guess I see so many male ISFS as versions of the stereotypical silent Captian Americas. I find it rare one that will willingly take a less traditional marriage roll, Idk Brennon is like a loving puppy, very outgoing, talkative, salesman..But he does play a defender role and doesn't like to stir the pot like when Cole asked him to back him up...Idk
@DrCherieTypes2 жыл бұрын
It’s better to type them based on how they communicate ie spoken and body language because it’s directly connected to how they think. Rewatch Brennon in the pods, he is like a mirror reflecting opinions back at Alexa. You don’t know if what he says is actually his opinion because he agrees with Alexa on almost every point (Fe). Cole pushes his opinions onto Zanab (Fi). Colleen’s mirrored responses (Fe) with everyone made Matt think that she is a player. Nancy stands by her personal opinion on abortion (Fi).

@@DrCherieTypes I will have to go back and rewatch, when they meet and interact together together I suppose I see a more animated upfront style vs quiet confidence to that is more hidden or behind the scenes. I look at it like a husband that would stand behind his wife on the red carpet and hold her bag, vs the husband that will stand and take pictures willingly. If that makes sense. I've watched idk 100+ hrs on like FJ or C.S Joseph on Cognitive Functions. I still don't fully understand them. I type purely on mannerisms, articulated speech and social settings.. Of course that's all intuition that I try to pattern off of.
@ro.l41332 жыл бұрын
What is your opinion on the mbti “golden pairing” idea considering your finding on what constitutes chemistry kind of contrasts with this?
@DrCherieTypes2 жыл бұрын
“Golden Pair” relationships are roller coasters. They can also read each other. That can be amazing. But some people crave for mystery for example SK’s comment on Raven.
@veronicar54534 ай бұрын
I did a test, and I got Ni dominant, Fi auxiliary, Si tertiary, and Te inferior. But it says that it’s unusual and I do not have a specific MBTI type 🙃
@South_Heat3 ай бұрын
Maybe try a different test because the way the cognitive stacks operate is they go in opposite pairs from position 1 in your stack which is dominant through to 4, inferior. So they will always be either ie ie or ei ei ( with the e standing for extroverted and the i standing for introverted). So the stacks will always look something like this Ni Fe Si Te or Fe Ni Se Ti. Then those cognitive functions stacked in any particular order will correspond with a “type” Esfp, Infj etc. You may already have found this all out in the month since you posted 🤷♀️
