This golf channel is by far the best resource for anyone trying to learn a Pete Cowen style of swing. I wish I had this video available to me when I first started learning, it would have saved me from so many bad swing habits that haunt me. Every beginner golfer needs to see this. 💎

It sure is Paul, and as a new golfer, you'll have no bad habits to break, so you'll improve faster (especially with tour proven fundamentals and not some gimmick youtube swing). Keep me posted on your progress, or if you have any questions down the road, feel free to ask. 🍻

@@therealgolfsecrets Thanks I will do, i also brought a few swing aids that will really help program my swing like the pro sender ect, if there are any other you suggest let me know. I wont go to the course until I am hitting the balls consistently with compression at the drive, thats my game plan, !

If I were only allowed to watch one golf lesson from KZbin for the rest of my life... this would be it!! 👏 👏 👏 👏 this video is jam-packed with tons of valuable information. Danny Maude would have turned this 30 min golf lesson into 100 different videos 15 min long 😂

Yeah this is an amazing cut! But I don't know why Danny's got to catch strays here. That guy is great for beginners and seniors.

@Nickporter17 Thanks, Nick, and I agree. I don't think Katsudo is trying to say that Danny is a poor golf instructor. I believe Kat is just saying that most of his videos are on one topic per video lesson (and apparently too long at times??). I could be wrong, but that's my take on it. Thanks for watching and commenting 🍻 👍

Really no thinking required. It's very natural , equal and opposite forces. It's also fun to feel the ball compress. Thank you !!!!!!! Rotating the shoulders in position is everything...Pete calls it loading the shoulders. Just a little move and correctly done it's hard not to be consistent.

The shoulder sets into the scapula very nicely which secures the loading of the right shoulder. You have to go down , you can't go over the top. It takes some practice and trust.

Excellent !!! Oh and I have to add to the conversations. Online Pete teaches the that the right forearm twists in to set up the hand at impact - compress the ball. Okay here's the opposite force that makes that feel natural . The left arm and shoulder works as the rotator up and down so it's that motion down that naturally turns the right forearm into that great impact position. Very easy, very natural. Opposite and equal !!!!!

That sounds 100% accurate to Pete's teachings. Thanks for sharing it in the comments for others to try. Johnny Miller does get the trail arm to spiral down, but it's done indirectly. There really is only one way to square up the hand with this style of swing/fundamentals before impact. You can cover more/draw the ball, cover less/ fade, or cover square with a straight shot, but either way, the trail forearm must spiral when doing either. Miller gets his trail arm to spiral indirectly by thinking of his trail thumb & making it point back at the ball before impact (the forearm has to spiral down to accomplish this). Miller does talk about the different lead hand feelings through impact (obviously left or right dominance is an individual preference), but most definitely the "equal and opposite" working through impact is 100% Pete Cowen and i doubt I'll ever come across anyone from the past talking about that information. Thanks again for sharing 🍻

Rory sets his right shoulder very early in the swing..........when He sets his wrists- hands . It's done the right shoulder is connected and in place - stable.
@therealgolfsecrets3 ай бұрын
Do you have a specific clip of Rory illustrating this? It does set early because once the trail forearm is 90 degrees with the humerus, the trail shoulder is loaded. I have a clip of Pete discussing this. This is critical to prevent injury/over swining and allow the club to drop straight down when repositioning for delivery AKA squatting.
