PP&M and the Seekers (Australia) were the voices of the generation. Sadly, we have lost Mary and Judith, but their memories and voices are still with us.

Best harmonies... I've been a fan since I was born. She is so so good... Singing along with her was my favorite childhood past time.

I had the the privilege to see them from their beginning as a group par excellence From concert halls to peace and civil Liberty Marches. Best live were these Troubadours of Harmony

What a pity we don't have groups like this any more. Their great music resonates through the decades as after all, this was recorded 55 years ago as i write.

Wouldn’t it be grand if we saw a resurgence of American folk music. Remember the Lettermen, The limeliters , Glen Yarbrough, The Seekers? So many others, The Kingston Trio, The Christy Minstrels. I miss that simple great music.

Peter Paul and Mary were the best. It is a shame that Mary had to pass.

We thought we knew so much back then. We did the best we could and we were brave, but a little too cocky. We fought for what we thought was right but it turned out to not be not enough, not quite right. ❤ But we will keep trying and go forward. I know few will agree with me, but I think our big mistake as a society is that we threw God out of our culture in the 60s and 70s. Peter, Paul, and Mary did sing a few Gospel pieces but mostly all the favorite groups of that time were averse to faith.

I remember PP&M singing this on 11/22/1964 at the University of Connecticut on the 1st anniversary of JFK's assassination. There was not a dry eye in the house.

for this particular song - words & musik - alone the nobel price for DYLAN is quite appropriate. word by word the song fits exactly to our worldwide climate troubles...
