Asgreen was outstanding this spring on the exact same bike (probably even heavier since he rides a bigger size) and it didn't prevent Alaphilippe to fly to the win in the steep gradients of the Mur de Huy and I fail to mention the rest of the Wolfpack, that lived up to its reputation. Now that was just a bit for the sake of oposing. An aero bike will only give a small marginal gain so long as the rider is aero both in the kit he wears and in his position on the bike. The pros are contracted to ride the bike provided by the sponsors but the race results proves what is so obvious.
