Peter's mom reactions and comments was so disturbing to me, I'm actually losing sleep over this. My mom taught me well and was very supportive of my choices. Even when my choices were not good for me. I am Madison and my husband is Peter. I'm more religious and I see my husband would rather socialize and does. There's alot of sadness because of this choice to marry. I'm a mother of sons and I would NOT do to them what Barbara did out in public. That was very disturbing to see. I understand her worry. This is an unequally yoked pair. It's workable but not the best choice. I know from experience. I still love you both Peter and Madison. God bless you both. The mother is a issue and a bad one at that. She was very hurtful to her own son Peter and Maddie and to many of us, because we watched it. With all due respect, I disagree with how Peter’s mother handled everything. At a minimum, she could trust her son and be supportive. The fact that she has gone to such great lengths in her manipulative overreacting, it is quite clear that she is so disturbed that she cannot control Peter as to whom he will marry - and is so clearly pissed - that she will stop at nothing (now) to ENSURE her own son fails at this relationship just to feed her own pride. This has a horrible Dr. Phil episode gone wrong written all over it. Sorry Peter. The rest of the world can clearly see your heart and that you literally proposed to Hannah Ann to please your mom. The fact that you couldn’t keep up the charade for your family is not on you - anyone with a pair of eyes can see you tried the route of keeping everyone happy - but you did what was right in the end. The heart wants what the heart wants and there’s no amount of manipulation that can prevent a bad decision if you’re being true to yourself.
