Ignoring Pharaoh’s constant refusal of the truth that lead to his hardening is like ignoring all the steps a criminal makes to end up with life in prison. That permanent condition was built on a bunch of actions.

I agree with you, Leighton. I’m 61 years old and find the longer I live, the more nature fascinates me, baffles my brain how people can believe that the intricacies of life are not controlled by a Creator. I see a bug as small as the period at the end of this sentence, complete in itself, with legs, a full body, reproductive abilities and think to myself, wow, God. How incredibly awesome you are!

I love what Dr McGee said about God hardening Pharaoh. He said that he hardened him like when we wring out a wash rag: He put him under pressure that brought out what was already there.

The strengthening of Pharaoh's heart was also brought out in the book by Roger Forster, combating Calvinism over 40 years ago "God's Strategy In Human History".

I love Dennis! I'm have no doubt that he knows that death is the prescribed punishment for "missing" the Sabbath (Exodus 35:2). I would like to hear Dennis reason why Jews no longer need to adhere to this, sacrifices and more. I pray that Dennis and other practicing Jews loosen their hearts and find Jesus as their Anointed One!

Every person on earth plays out this same battle every day when we choose evil and we ignore that voice deep deep down that tells us not to do it and we do it anyway then you harden your own heart and if you keep pushing it one day that voice inside will go silent then that person is capable of any evil thing under the sun.

This is also conceptually in continuity with other similar passages like Romans 1 (God “gives them over”) and 2 Thessalonians 2 (God will send them strong delusion). It has nothing to do with God acting in a positive sense. He’s not the one forcing their hand as it were. Rather, He is merely backing off as if to say, “Ok…if you want it that way then so be it. If you want to reject me and my plan for you, then that is your choice. And because I love you and respect you as My most precious creation made in My image, I will grant you a life devoid of Me.”

One was when Prager gave the actual Hebrew definition of the word translated "hardened" in the KJV (and other translations) as "strengthened." Thank you for sharing!
