Lot of people clamoring for a Kenny Picket episode. I've been watching him all year long it hasn’t been very good. He was really good in the preseason at deciphering coverages and getting the ball out of his hands...and then everything changed when you got into the regular season. He wasn’t seeing the field very well and had some issues around him. The coordinator, some of the play calls and then obviously some miscommunication with his guys. So, then the Steelers switch coordinators...but how much effect can that really have? What I'll tell you what, this is the best game that I’ve seen Kenny Pickett play as a pro. Why is that? It’s because he was more definitive and comfortable in this game then I’ve ever seen him. So you’re gonna see it over and over and over again on this tape. #kennypickett #steelers #nfl

I watched Kenny I think on either his Pro Day or the combine, a couple years ago. There was no doubt: he has a good arm. Naturally that’s only one piece to the puzzle but arm strength can’t be taught. Kenny is really good at standing tall in the pocket and delivering even when he knows he’s going to be drilled, especially on seam routes. I think that everyone needs to just give Kenny time. He needs to up his completion percentage - I think he’s low 60s maybe - but on the plus side, he wins the majority of his starts. Maybe year three is when you’ll see him shine.

The completion percentage is going to go up now that Canada isn't calling plays. Kenny has all the elite traits of a qb (Clutch, arm strength, decision making, speed, athleticism, pocket pressence), he just gets pressured on literally every play and can't always throw the best balls. He need to go all in on building the oline this offseason, and maybe grab 1-2 good corners in the draft.

I know he's missed what should of been some easy throws but how much has his percentage suffered due to all the sideline toe tap routes Canada had him throwing to

It's still the same offense; same players, same formations, same plays. The only difference is which plays are called when, and what players are utilized on those plays. It's only one game against a team who's season is pretty well shot, but I think this just shows that Matt Canada can't call a game to save his ass. Literally.

I think we're gonna add some plays in. Some formations canada only ran one play out of and it showed on tape. Gotta add variance at the minimum

@@davyncarulli9000 I don't disagree with that at all, in fact I think it's necessary. It may even work in their favor with it being this late in the season, because teams won't have a much tape on them. But this game was 100% Canada's offense, they had 5 days bergen firing the clown and Sunday to come up with an offensive gameplan, which is why I see play calling as the biggest factor in the win. But again, it's one game. I definitely wanna see new wrinkles added weekly and the schedule definitely benefits them. 3 of the next 4 at home against teams with a combined record of 15-30, only Indy has a winning record at 6-5. If things keep progressing, I like their chances heading into the playoffs.

Thank you for saying this. That is what made Canada so bad, and is why Kenny looked so bad. When you call plays that the defense has already seen 6 times, the receivers will be locked up.

Kenny had one good year at Pitt, he was a grown man playing agsinet kids in his senior year at Pitt.... Kenny is a guy that you can win with, id say a mid level 2nd stringer.
