📲 Our Pick Up Limes app is finally here (1-week free trial!): bit.ly/PUL_app 🎉 Skincare is a tricky beast. There are times when I’m stressed and my skin really starts to break out, and as I’m getting older I’m noticing wrinkles and fine lines start to form. It’s all normal and natural, and we each struggle at times with our skin in our own ways. Regardless of where we’re at, it helps to be kind to ourselves throughout our skin journey. In the video, we explore only one of the many pillars that impact our skin health: nutrition. It’s not the be-all-end-all solution to clear and glowing skin, but it can be a substantial contributor. We hope you enjoy it and learn some new things! 🤓

And check your vitamin B12! I'm now going to the third shot of B12 and recovering from a lot of problems I was having because of B12 insufficiency. I'm a 44 years old vegan woman, my doctor said I'll need to supplement B12 forever
@eendje452 жыл бұрын
True, problems from b12 deficiency are often overlooked. But be aware that the b12 shots can cause acne as a side effect. I haven't found a solution for that yet, have been on b12 shots for 11 years and need them for the rest of my life.
@LauraDeVasconcelos2 жыл бұрын
@@eendje45 Yes, I'm full of acne and even thought it was the maple sirup I ate the past days, but I'll have only 5 injections and then I'll have to go with pills so I hope it'll be better for my skin
@eendje452 жыл бұрын
@@LauraDeVasconcelos oh it's good that you're able to switch to pills, as pills won't have the same side effect and probably won't cause acne. Acne is not caused by b12 itself but by some other ingredient in the fluid in the injection. English isn't my first language so I'm sorry if I can't explain it correct. Sadly pills are no option for me because my body doesn't take b12 from food/pills that I take orally, so injection are necessary. Hope you feel better soon, b12 deficiency causes horrible symptoms.

I have struggled with guttate psoriasis for over a decade and after leaning heavily on medications such as steroid creams - which have acted as a band-aid, covering up the issue rather than dealing with it, and even ultimately worsening my condition over time - I have finally decided to try to manage my autoimmune condition naturally. I know there is no cure but I am encouraged by many testimonies of people that have their psoriasis under control through diet, exercise and stress management. I am working closely with a nutritionist to do this. My new diet consists of an elimination phase where I completely cut out refined sugar, gluten, alochol and processed foods, alongside a supplement plan. Whilst I am nervous to undertake this challenge, your videos (especially this one and the one on anti-inflamamatory foods) have been very helpful to me. I am going to try to stay positive by considering all of the amazing whole foods I can still eat rather despairing about the restrictions. Thank you for all the inspiration!

Thanks for another great video. There has been a huge surge of collagen supplements in Southeast Asia (and probably everywhere else in the world). I always doubt anything that promises a quick fix or sounds too good to be true, especially when it comes to health or beauty products. The biggest problem I have with collagen supplement is that in Asia, many TV celebrities are either advertising them or selling it themselves, but everyone knows fully well that these celebs get monthly botox, 'fillers', facelift, and spend thousands of dollars on medical cosmetic procedures to look the way they do (on top of photoshop and filters), yet they have the audacity to fool consumers that these collagen products can help an average person look like them... It's also weird that people are willing to spend so much money on skincare products without doing the simplest things first like getting enough quality sleep, drinking plenty of water, eating fresh food that boost general health like your video suggests, exercising, living more simply to minimise stress, and quitting smoking and excessive drinking.
