I have a suspicion that Thursday they will release the Pico 4 to the EU beta members first, then the rest of the EU countries they sold were selling the Pico Neo 3 Link in so Germany, Italy, France, The Netherlands and Spain then it will release of be available to preorder in China on the 27th September (In China you can already put down a 15 Yuen deposit apparently) the Pico 4 Pro will be sold I feel to enterprise/business customers as Pico did with their Pico Neo 3 Eye etc. I hope I am wrong about the Pico 4 Pro as I wanted to use my 35% beta discount voucher for that - lets see Thursday. It's funny how the htc vive 2016 with wireless adapter, pro strap and index controllers has been the king so long. Granted that upgrading the headset itself would boost resolution and refresh rates but has been working great since 2016.

If Cambria is able too smoothly introduce VR to the workspace, then I think it will absolutely raise the tide for VR on a whole. That's a big "if" though.

Wich company will trust facebook with their privacy data? Remember cambridge facebook leak. Facebook caused the brexit and a moron for president in the usa. No big company with big prototype projects let co workers work with a facebook device. What if facebook leaks those secrets or know more about an employe then the company he or she works for. And for design, if you like 3d modeling on an android vr device you can use less polygoon no lighting etc. Pc is more powerfull for it. Let's not talk about video editing on an android device. So if you see co work is looking online at a word document and a PowerPoint presentation with a whiteboard and look at each other in lego avatars.

It does look like it has potential. Guess I'll wait and see... Been waiting for something like a wireless Index (The Cambria might be close) for so long that I forgot that I was waiting and spent my VR money on a motorcycle, solid it, and just now bought another one lol. One day it will happen, but I might be waiting until the next high tide.

Cambria is garbage for VR. once you wear it, you will see outside world so its not for VR.

I don't know how good the Cambria will be, and I'm sure it will be expensive so I don't expect to see many 2nd hand for much of a discount, but we can dream in the meantime... If the controllers work with the Quest 2 as rumoured, I might just cave in and open mine (grabbed it when I heard about the price hike). However I'm just over the max IPD and I can re-sell it without losing much if something better comes out. I'll just keep waiting.

Sorry I'm sort of over and done with VR there's been so many low-cost Walmart brand failures real the yard kind of like whatever to me but I do give surprise when people still try to keep the VR High going but it's for me it's not working

I'm excited... the new mod's to (re)play flatscreen games in a VR environment, the new upcoming headsets... (my left controller of my Quest 2 is showing issues and might need to be replaced) and I would love to have a headset that is dedicated to fitness and one to gaming.... I don't want an all-in-one solution. I prefer to have two or even more headsets, each for its own usage.

Competition is great..but I just can’t support Pico for a lot of reasons , the company seems to just copy Quest from the chinese factory, they don’t really do R&D thats why they can undersell. I bet they have a prototype of the Quest Pro for a while now, they just haven’t figured out the ringless controllers yet. Also, who is their “Zuck?”I may be wrong but that is my opinion on a lot of these pop up chinese companies.

thats a great point a about potential tiktok integration. That would be so dope if you could record videos that automatically cropped to 1080x1920 for tiktok.Threr are already loads of Vr content creators on tiktok so that would make it do much easier for them to get more vr content out there

It's great to have alternatives and competition. Unfortunately, most of the world has ZERO alternatives, as all manufacturers only sell in a handful of countries. VR will stay small for as long as manufacturers continue distributing only to a small number of countries. You can't buy what isn't being sold. No AAA companies will invest in games for a platform their customers can't buy. We will see how things will change with the PSVR2 as it will be distributed worldwide. I believe we'll see AAA companies diving into PSVR2 and leaving all other VR platforms out (Standalone and PCVR), simply because manufacturers don't sell the devices worldwide. My hope, even for Meta's sake, is that they announce an aggressive expansion of their global sales in this Connect event.

The problem so far with all standalone headsets is mods, or rather the number of hoops you need to jump through to get mods in your games. E.g. modding Beat Saber on a PC is a breeze and you need to do nothing else on the headset, but on a Quest 2 it's a frickin pain.

if Pico does not compete with Meta Quest and sell their products to the US market to push Yukkaburg off his high pedestal Metaverse monopoly (which is doing poorly in other videos), then Pico is shooting themselves in the foot. I know I am not going to "import purchase" an international Pico headset for all purposes that may not setup or be compatible to our US systems plus pay extra costs to get this headset to my home. Whether this is a China/US political issue, I could care less. If they don't come to the US, I will look for another product down the line. I definitely won't buy a Yukkaburg Metaverse Quest 2 headset. Still all these wireless headsets are better but in their infancy stages so I will still wait for better features/technology, should that ever occur.

I am not that happy with Valve at the moment. They had HTC produce the Vive and only released the lab. Then they built the index, and only released HLA. You built an $800 HMD, then a $1000 HMD. With 2 titles, 1 being a tech demo. F'k sake valve, that is beyond lame.

I don't want to discourage you, but the Pico will not be released this year in America, only in China and other Eastern countries. The Chinese are good at copying others, but the software side is not their greatest strength, and their stores have little content. And last but not least, it's a Chinese product, with all that's happening in the world, it might be time to switch to American products. The price is likely to be quite similar to the Quest Pro.

Had the quest 2 for a couple of weeks. returned it because i think its still in its early stages where i see it as a ps2 in terms of graphics. Vr needs to step it up and make it lighter and wider screen. haptic and treadmills need to get going as well. IDK i like VR but its just too boring atm, where there isnt any good games, and i said that after trying saints row... and half life alyx. The fact that pico made a headset that matches the quest 2 is stupid, as the quest 2 is like look at the world through two rolls of toilet paper... and the quality of the image is also pretty bad (and yes i plugged in the cable on the quest 2 and increased the resolution.) I wear glasses, and the quest two can barely fit my glasses in them, and they make it horrible to play with. So the option was to order snap on correction lenses, but i live in Norway, and have to pay twice the price + shipping due to crazy toll taxes... I wont buy VR for another 10 years.

In my country they treath dogs like humans. The dogs have it better here then a child born in africa. If you realy love animals set them free. Most dogs owners have one for loneliness or to boost their ego with a fighting dog. You better eat them then get one for ego or selfish behaviour or replacement when the kids are out of the door.
