The way she just goes on and on about her story without him asking hardly anything, first of all, my favorite kinds of interviews because they just say what's on their mind as it comes to them. Second, you can tell she hasn't really had anyone to talk to about these traumatizing life events. You can tell she's been wanting to get this off her chest for a very, very, very long time and this platform gives her and everyone else who's on here that space to finally do it.

Perhaps, but that seems like a wide assumption. After experiencing trauma, many people just want to feel heard. Plus, recounting trauma also creates a cycle of reliving it, so it feels fresh each time. Which is probably why it seems like she’s never talked about this before. Because she’s reliving all of this horrible stuff when she talks about, and it’s as fresh as the first time she shared it. But, who knows.

Think she leaving parts out to save her image a lil bit and then if she looked out for her so dearly then why didn't she care when the lil girl ran off. I think she blamed that lil girl for what happened with their grandfather and she resented her for having to take the abuse to protect her which led to her life going down hill.

Vibrant clear memories that you can explain in great detail like it was yesterday, when it was really years ago, is trauma. You remember and see it and feel it, like it has just happened , everyday. It's like it imprints in your mind photographically. Normal happy memories, you store away neatly in a cupboard in your memory and can close the door on it, draw it out when you want, but in time, you do loose details and it fades ,you recall on it but it's hazy many years later. Trauma. Different story. It sits at the front of your mind clear as day and it doesn't fade.

The fact that she had the potential to be a high achieving student if she was born into a standard middle class family is tragic. She liked school and actually sacrificed time and energy to continue going to school while all this was happening. It’s pretty rare to find that type of love for academics in all socioeconomic classes, much less from someone with her background.

@@9kazcat Just want to point out that the opposite can be true as well. I'm diagnosed with C-PTSD and one symptom it causes for me dissociative amnesia. I have lost most of my memories from age 21 and below, and have poor memory in general. My sister experienced similar traumas in our childhood home and has an excellent memory. Our brains can do different things in reaction to trauma, and not everyone has crystal clear memories. My brain nearly wiped itself clean as a protective measure

That's because she's one of those people you can tell she never had anyone to ever ask her "how was your day?" "Tell me about yourself." "What was your life like?" She's never had anyone actually just sit down and talk to her , CARE about her or what she has to say or what she thinks. It's very sad. I personally think the penalty/charge for a family member abusing the child should be much, much higher then it is. It's one thing when an absolute stranger does this sort of evil, but when it's someone who is responsible for your care and you are beholden to them to care for you..? At their mercy? Yeah, that's a special kind of evil that needs to be flushed out, punished harder. It should be something that someone is absolutely terrified to do, because if the did...? The penalty would be so terrifying, it would give them pause from ever having done it to begin with. Right now, because society is so apathetic when it comes to the welfare of children, families with generational abuse running through them can continue to exist. If society started caring, and backed that up with a real punishment....? I think some change would happen. A lot of people think that morality comes easy, that making the moral choice is just a natural and easy thing to do for everyone. They're wrong. Most people operate on a frequency where, they require actual threat or benefit to be motivated to do something. They won't do anything unless you give them incentive, and they won't stop what they're doing unless they're actually afraid of the consequences.

Its genuinely horrifying. Some of these kids are growing up around straight up monsters. Its so unfair, from the beginning they have to fend for themselves whilst being abused and tortured. She went through a lot during her childhood. She is lovely, confident and smart. Unlike other people interviewed on this channel who need help yet find it difficult to battle their addiction, for her I think she chose to be this way and is aware of her doings. She graduated and is smart but yet chose to go the wrong way. And seem proud to be an addict and pimp. I hope she realizes her potential. Maybe a change of environment and people will help. She is meant to represent and be a voice for these people going through what she experienced

1) It's hard for me to sit here and not be mad about her further victimizing other vulnerable women. 2) It's weird that the male pimp respected her sexuality and didn't just see her as someone to be dominated like he did with the other women. 3) She was victimized by men, so she started acting like them to protect herself. Come full circle and shes abusing other women because she thinks they're worthless the same as those men think.

@@lygiabird6988 Damn I' m glad to see a few people voicing some of the things going through my mind. This young woman sounds like she has incorporated alot of rehearsed scripts and stories, some hers others maybe not hers. She reminds me of someone I know who is also female and has pimped young women and is a straight- up abusive predator. She can seem very charming and convincing while scheming your downfall. She seems a bit narcissistic. The way she is prattle on like maybe she is a bit manic or on something. If you start examining the pieces to the story it doesn't all make sense. I truly hope after this interview her life changes and she never has to be traumatized by these survival tactics again. She was dealt a horrible hand a birth. She deserves relief. Rooting for her. This story is killing me. From the aunt, to the grandfather, grandmother, social workers, foster parents. How are there so many breaks in this system? Every aspect is just apart of a huge failed system. How are there so many missed opportunities? So many instance of rape and sexual abuse. I'm so lost and upset. I wish I could have taken her in and showed her what a real family is supposed to be like. Where were the good souls that could have helped her out? Is this what society has become? Where were the teachers that could have listened and assisted. Man, I just hope I can become a light for someone out there.

Unfortunately a lot of people in the government see the disadvantaged as burdens so they make it almost impossible to get someone all the support they need. You need so much documentation and a huge paper trail to even be considered for some assistance programs and the minute you make any progress they will kick you off benefits. The administrators and elected officials who make it harder for people to escape poverty must be held accountable for this negligence at every level.

For the ones talking about what she did to her little sister there’s no excuse but we’re talking about someone who watched her mom be murdered, was never protected when she cried for help and was doing serious drugs & learning survival skills..her empathy is not going to be the same as most and it’s quite possible she got cold after witnessing certain things. I’m praying for her sister as well as this girl in the interview. She’s not telling her story for ppl to feel sorry for her or to be on her side, it’s for the point that you never know why people do what they do until you understand the kind of lives they lived. Doesn’t make it right, but it does give insight.
