Pirate Threats! New holiday event with translation: Puzzles and Survival

The new holiday even Pirate Threats seemed to go out globally with only a Chinese translation. So I wanted to do a quick video covering the English translation and a quick explanation of the event. Big shout out to Amir13 who shared this translation in my discord server. (Link to join below if you aren't a member yet.)
A quick summary is to do your daily quests, battle in campaign, and arena (hero dual survival, or commander dual conquest) to earn Electrum stones. The electrum stones can then be fused into coins. You can get either Silver serpent coins or Gold serpent coins. Those coins are then used to summon pirates or captains to the battlefield. When they are summoned they must be rally attacked. Only the alliance that summons them can attack them. These monsters cost stamina to attack (unlike AP in some other holiday style events.) The rewards you get for defeating them will include Pirate Badges. Pirate badges can be exchanged in the Pirate Shop for a variety of rewards of your choosing. Up to and including the permanent march effect "Pirate Ship". At 10,000 badges this isn't cheap and more than likely will require spending real money in the mall to obtain. Of course stamina and coin packages can be found in the mall for purchase if you so choose as well as packages including Pirate Badges. I put this together as quickly as I could so it could help people get started on this event. I definitely hope this helps and sorry for any mistakes. 1. Summer is the time when people can't help but think of beaches, sunshine and pirates. Probably it was inspired by people that a pirate ship actually appeared at the mouth of the bay! Inaccurately speaking, it was the wreckage of a pirate ship, and there were still a large number of sailors and captains infected by the zombie virus wandering in the ship. In the gloomy ship, the obsession with money still remains.
2. Collect gold and silver stones to synthesize coins, sailors and captains will be attracted to appear in the world, defeat it to get rich rewards Reward Preview

1. Silver Snake Coins can summon ordinary pirates, and Golden Snake Coins can summon elite pirates.
2. The pirates are very powerful and must go in a team.
3. The summoned pirate will exist in the world for 1 hour and must be defeated within this time
4. Challenge pirates after the event will no longer drop the pirate badge

Hey can you do a video on how the shield works in the Zenith tech hub, for wasteland war please and thank you.. what i really want to know is, is what its cost to use shield, how long it last, and is there a break in-between using the shield or can you use it again right away....

Can you do a video going over hospitals? Like a full break-down would be nice. To me they seem worthless, as I will always suffer losses no matter what my capacity is.

Miraculous survival and strong boosts help minimize actual losses. Plus defending causes no killed troops. Ill see what i can do about a video on infirmaries.

I recommend day 5 of GAC for opening all lair boxes including holiday boxes.

And what am i doing with silver sepent coin i had?? I had 6 now in my pocket.. but 0 the gold.. just summon,, or any advice for that??

When you fuse the electrum stones you will get a random coin silver or gold. I still recommend using the silver coins (1 at a time... when you have stamina) to spawn a pirate. They wont be elite pirates but you can still get the rewards for the common.

In the pirate shop, exchanging pirate token reward for challenge key, "Use to open a box in Trials of Survival". Are the keys a good value and worth getting? (I am 14 days playing and therefore really baffled, as there is no in game explanation of keys or that trials event. Searching, I see a video described as alliance trial, is that the same as trials of survival?) Thanks if anyone knows.

Alliance trials and trials of survival are different events. The challenge keys open the extra boxes in the event page of trials of survival. They are a decent reward. I will say that for newer players i always recommend getting the vip points with the holiday events as they are usually a good value and getting to vip level 10 is very important. So its up to you what to purchase.

@@ValenceRing Thanks. I might refined that advice, I am not sure, to say that reaching VIP 8 for the +1 march queue is more valuable in the beginning. I think that changes later, and VIP 10's reapplies are the more value overall, merely that early game march queues have a large effect. If I went wild with diamonds and purchases and got VIP 10 now, all out rush for it, the +2 queues from prior two levels is what I would notice more. The big fish here at 14 days in my new world would still be big high spenders with t8 units to my t6 that a talent tree reset wouldn't let me joust with. Thanks for the info that the keys are also reasonable value and not a waste. I'm going VIP points as you advice. Thank you.

Can you talk about alliance gifts? I'm confused about how that works.

So basically any (or most) purchases in game (mainly from the mall or otherwise specified) gives the player the awards for purchase. In addition an "alliance gift" or box is put into the alliance gift section. These boxes can be opened by every member of your alliance. They do have a timer when they expire and you can only have 300 unopened boxes at a time. Every time a box is opened by an alliance member (the purchaser gets a box too) a random reward is given based on the "rarity" or cost of the box. Oepning the box also grants points to the alliance grand gift. Once the progress bar fills a "grand gift" is given to every member the same way as boxes that are purchased (so it must be opened by the alliance member) the grand gift however is based off of the alliance gift level. Every time a grand box is opened the experience level for alliance gift goes up. Once that progress bar is filled the alliance gift level goes up and the rewards improve. While its all seemingly complicated it can be summarized like this.... buying something gives everyone a gift. Opening gifts fills the progress bar for a grand gift and opening grand gifts fills the experience bar for gift level. Higher gift level = better grand gifts. All you have to do as a player is log in daily to collect your gifts. Hope that helps.

Gold coins can be purchased in the mall. Also when you fuse Electrum stones there is a small chance of creating a gold coin (by my guess less than 20% chance).
