I just found your channel and love your meal prep videos. Those quesdillias look great. I like that you only prep for 3 days. I work 3 days a week and this would be perfect for me. I also like your dinner kits. I fell in love with the meal delivery kits but not the price lol. Now I can totally make my own kits.

Hi there!! Welcome and thanks so much!! I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos. I agree with you - when I did those delivery kits, I loved how convenient they were, but some of them are soooo pricey. Making our own is so much cheaper! :)

Thanks so much!! It's so funny because when I do regular quesadillas, I fold them. Not sure why I felt breakfast needed to be different! LOL

The breakfast quesadilla you might want to do 1 shell and fold it over and divide the eggs and Sausage still same amount I have just found that it is easier for me to handle without it falling apart just a suggestion looks wonderful
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! Yes, I'm definitely going to try it that way next time. That's how I have done chicken quesadillas. Not sure why I felt eggs should be different! LOL
@letsjustpretend14 жыл бұрын
My favorite way to make quesadillas is to pour an egg or two into the pan, let it cook briefly (like an omelette) and lay my tortilla on top while it still slightly wet and flip them together to cook the rest of the way while the tortilla browns. I then add all the other toppings on the side and fold it in half. This way the egg and tortilla are nice and flat and attached to each other which makes it easier to eat when I reheat it.
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Ohhh, that's an excellent idea!! Thanks so much! Yeah, it was a little bit of a pain trying to mash out the egg after I had already cooked it. I'm going to try your idea!! Thanks! :)
@letsjustpretend14 жыл бұрын
Planning Us Healthy Hope it helps! Sometimes I throw the toppings in when the egg is still wet too and then everything REALLY sticks together haha. Just depends on how prepped I have everything when I start making them 😂

I made your ground beef hash on Monday! I loved it! I portioned it out and put 2 in the freezer for later an 2 for this week! I don’t do a lot of meal prep because it’s just me, but I find planning is so helpful for staying on track! I bet your meals will be yummy this week! I have tried sprinkling the PB2 on the apples, but it got my fingers messy when I ate it!(I’m a priss!) lol. I prefer mixing the PB2 with sf maple syrup and a little almond milk and dipping the apple slices in that.
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
So glad you liked the hash!! It's one of those things you can have it for breakfast also - very versatile. And oh, believe me, I put a fork in the bag to eat the apples! LOL I just shake them up in the bag and then eat them with a fork right out of the bag. :) But I like the sound of the way you make them too!!!

@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
I get those at Aldi. They are really good!! Just be careful - they have a maple kind that has more points than the country style.
@susaninsocal5504 жыл бұрын
Hahaha! Loved the intro! And your grandson is getting so big and he's ADORABLE! Everything look delicious! For the quesadilla, you might try adding half the cheese to the first tortilla (before the eggs) and the second half of the cheese on top of the fillings. I think it will hold the quesadilla together a little better. The turkey bowls look so yummy! (I love all the colorful veggies!) I'm definitely going to make those. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw you trying to get the air out of the hash bag. I'm telling you girl, the straw works! LOLOL
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
You and that straw!!! LOL Oh, the visual! Haha!! I know!! Logan is growing up waaaaay too fast! He's such a cutie! Great idea on the quesadilla! They actually weren't too bad when I reheated them. They were a little flimsy but I just kind of folded each piece over and ate it that way. :)

@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Donna, they are sooo filling!! I was worried because I didn't add rice or potatoes. But they definitely didn't need it. Both breakfast and lunch were filling this week. My husband wasn't even hungry for dinner tonight!
@jeanlujan61294 жыл бұрын
I cheat when I make quesadillas I put everything on one side fold it over and then flip it makes it a lot easier than cut that one in the fourth and if it’s not enough you can always make a second one but that way you’re only using one wrap instead of two or tortilla shells which ever you prefer to call it
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Seems like a lot of people do it that way. I've done chicken quesadillas that way so I need to try these that way! :)
@deesjourney2134 жыл бұрын
I have made breakfast quesadillas before almost exactly like that except I used one tortilla and folded it over. It seemed easier to handle in the pan. Also, you are correct. Those tortillas are pretty flimsy to try to use. I have used them to make breakfast burritos and they seem to work better for those. For the quesadillas I have been using the Santa Fe Tortilla company whole grain ones. They are 2 sp each but are heartier and seem to hold together better. Great video! I'm so glad you had a little comedy in there. It's great to just be yourself!
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much, Denise! Yes, I've used these with burritos too, and they come out okay. I think I'll definitely try those Santa Fe ones next time. When I reheated them, they actually held together pretty good, but I didn't heat them through all the way so that probably helped a little. Yes, I definitely had quite the day! 🤣🤣

They all look so good. Love your honesty. Cooking gets messy sometimes. Love the oops.
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
LOL Thanks Melissa! When I first started my channel, I remember not putting up videos if I made mistakes or something didn't turn out right. But that completely defeats the purpose of my channel. I want to show people that anyone can be in the kitchen. You just have to try throwing things together. Sometimes it comes out great, sometimes we have issues along the way. LOL

Ohhh yes!!! I'm going to do that! Thanks for the suggestion!
@valeriesoncek52374 жыл бұрын
I was thinking when I make the quesadillas I would mix everything with the eggs..the peppers,onions,sausage whatever you want to add once the tortilla are done add cheese. Thinking it might hold together better.
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Oh, that's true! I think maybe I would chop up the sausage next time and mix it in. That may help too. :)

Add a little more cheese hold together
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
That's true! I was trying to keep the points lower, but I think adding another point worth of cheese wouldn't hurt. It'll still be pretty low. Thanks! :)
@loisdriggers43674 жыл бұрын
I put half the cheese on the bottom, layer my eggs, veggies, etc, then add second half of cheese and the top quesadilla. I flip them with no problem because the cheese acts like "glue".
