Also I hope this helps someone : Sin has a way of hardening our hearts so that things that once moved us now have little or no influence on our mood when we read or pray. The way we feel however is no indication of GOD's desire or His place in us. The Word of GOD on the other hand, is. If you have changed your mind about your past actions and have made a clear decision to follow Him and live in Him (ie.Live in His Love again) then He is just as close to you as when you feel Him, even if you don't feel Him. Thank Him out loud for having redeemed you, for having received you and having restored you back to relationship with Him, even if it sounds and feels like you're babbling empty words. He rejoices in you proclaiming His words especially when you don't feel them. Finally, He is not upset with you, You are upset with you. Ask Him to help you see yourself as He sees you. Beautiful, desirable, pure and set apart for Him. His bride. Let Him show you His Love. This is the most perfect time.. when you feel the least worthy.. Love you Sis

Been there done that. Almost 40 years of backslidings. Terror of God and hope he would save me were my quandary. There were times in private I would ask God to save me. There were times when partying with friends I would tell them I don't want to live in sin anymore all the while I lived like the devil. I was a mess but the time came and God took me out of that. I praise his name for his mercy.

A mistake that I've made and I believe many make is that we go off of feelings and/or our putrid sins as to whether or not we have God. Our salvation is based upon what Jesus has done for us. If we are walking with the Master our actions will be Christ like, but our good actions also come through the strength and grace of our Lord Jesus. Anyone out there who is struggling or has fallen down, get back on the horse. Trusting God is not always easy, get your bible out, and cling to His promises! His word says He will never leave us nor forsake us. God loves us, we are unique and valuable to Him. Believe what His word says!

Thank you for this. I've felt like God is distant because I don't feel His presence, but our relationship w/ God is dictated by how we feel. Its dictated by Jesus. Jesus writes our faith. I also like what you said about reading God's word and clinging to his promises. As long as His promises are in the Bible, we can be sure that He will never leave nor forsake us. I feel the same as Becky. I'm wandering away from God, my heart's harder than ever, I feel like God does not love me or even care about me, and sometimes I pray that he'll open up my eyes and transform me but he does nothing at all. I keep searching for answers, I keep asking him why he remains silent, but still no answer. I'm so tired of it, I have no strength, but I can't make myself let go of Him or the idea of Him, idk. I don't know what else I can do.

First off you need to get out of your own head. One thing I notice people like you do is trust in their own understanding. I know its hard and I believe your struggle. I had times of condemnation, fear, lack of love, hard heartednedss in my walk too. God speaks to us not through whispers and suggestions in our minds but through meditation of his holy Word. Go to Bible studies, become a member of a church. Force yourself to read your Bible and then slowly as you continue with God, he will cause u to understand fundamental things. The book of 1st John talks about our relationship with the father, that the Ultimate act of love is what christ did for us on the cross. For while we were still sinners christ died for us. I need you to understand that that is unbelievable news!!! If you fail to see God's glory in the gospel you will struggle with anxiety, doubts and fear/despair. Pray that God will open the eyes of your heart to the gospel message. Do not complicate things. Get a perspective on God and his love for you. His silence could be his plan to get you to grow up. Give up your own understanding and trust God to guide your way. The Bible tells us that God's word is a lamp unto our feet. Notice how it says God's word and not our feelings or impulses. God is good and great. Jesus is your final hope. If you turn from christ there remains no sacrifice for sins just a fearful awaiting of judgment. And know that ultimately it will always be you who turned away from christ. He I always standing there with open arms to welcome you back. You might not feel the right things but through time they will come. We believe in christ who rose from the DEAD! He can save anyone who wills to be saved. Believe in him, read his word and mediate on it. Examine your worldly lifestyle and let God know that you are powerless against sin and temptation and ask him to transform you and renew ur mind through his glory. In Jesus name I pray that you overcome. Christ promises good things to those who overcome! Take heart.

I was on fire for christ 9 years the all of a sudden as if from nowhere a flood of doubts started filling my mind..u had to actually tell my self stop this thinking..I would not be able to even pick up my bible or enjoy other Christians anymore..I began to have some weird thoughts..I revealed everything to my pastor cuz I just couldn't take it anymore...he told me it was oppression..he reminded me of our enemy....I'm not one to run for satan is after me approach to everything...but when he read the word of God to me about this stuff..its like I was free from doubts ..then as soon as I left 20 min it was back in me like mosquito to a flame..I couldn't shake it..I became very afraid I questioned my salvation and it was the most terrible 2 years. of my life..then slowly and I mean slowly God has restored me..the doubts still come but I fight with the word of God and the days get better.. you love him and God says he works together all things to those who love him and are called according to his purpose...he humbling you..talk to old ladies at church....this experience mad eme reach out to so many people.more than before and they saw me weak in faith when they were strong and they carried my burden..just like the word says...stay strong girl...he's got this...its very hard though...faith ain't easy.

I fear backsliding, I have gone the trials and didn’t trust God. And I moved to a new neighborhood and a new sch and I fear that I will be afraid to share my Faith and that I will hide it and I don’t want that and I am having thoughts of maybe going back to my old ways but I seriously don’t want to and I am not happy. Hello. My sister just sent me this video and it speaks to my situation. My heart is calloused and so hard hearted. I cannot feel noe hear him. I struggle to read my Bible..... I have to force it and there's no life in it. I struggle to pray.... I am blank and hollow and the words just don't come. I'm so tired of being in this place. And I am frightened. Most days I believe that perhaos I was never saved to begin with. Although there was a time when I was on fire for God and loved Jesus dearly. Now it's just dead inside. Please pray for me.

I am dealing with the exact same things. You are not alone. Parable of the kite. A kid flies a kite above the clouds. His friend asks him if you can't see the kite, how do you know you are flying one. The kid replies, I can feel the tug. Can you feel Jesus tugging on your heart? People have told me that my worry is actually a good sign that I still care. Pray for him to soften your heart. Pray for faith and a love for him. Pray for him to change your heart and give you a heart that adores him again. Pray for the Word to come alive in your heart. God bless you and keep trying. Love you

I understand you, I've been there along side you, but Christ has brought me back. In the last year, I was in my room, and I felt as though I was 1 inch from renouncing my faith to the left and 1 inch in keeping it on my right, I felt so hopeless so alone, so down. I called my pastor and spoke with him, which helped a little. But while all this was going on I was seeing a girl, was having sex outside of marriage, drinking etc.. but let me let you something to anyone who is in this seemingly endless, hopeless state, if you are a true believer, Christ will never forget about you, and when he will bring you back, which he will, you will love him even more, be more faithful, you will love more for you have been forgiven much. Its in God's timing and his timing is always right, always. So just trust your heavenly Father and he will bring you through for the best, even though it feels so painful and heart renching now. I will keep those who are going through this in my prayers. A chapter that helped me was Psalm 77. God bless.

Ohh dear! Similar feelings and pattern I had. It's just.. I had a break through this summer. Something happened to me and it was God's answer to me. In the beginning of the year I hopelessly and angry cried out to the Lord to hit me so hard in the face and show me where I went wrong because I cannot hear him anymore, don't and cannot read my bible and I've been committing sins continuously! He sent me the answer in summer. Broke me in half and it was a breakthrough and I can now feel him and walk with him again

I am 14 years old. ive struggled with depression alcohol and drugs. I got dreams that have helped me get close to God because i had no idea who he was. I fell in love with the God not the worldly lust love. But like a daughter love id admired Him! Everything was amazing I felt at peace I wouldnt lose to sin. I can relate to Becky. For years I’ve been wandering away from God further and further. Every single time, I WANT to become better, but idk it’s just me. Every time I sinned, I always repented and asked for forgiveness and promised Him that I’ll never do it again and that I’ll be better. Sometimes it happened, but my sinful nature got the best of me. I have been doing my the same thing over and over again, yet I always do the same thing. Ask for forgiveness, pray to Him, and promise I’ll be better. But the cycle just repeats itself. I honestly HATE what I do. At times I feel like He doesn’t want me anymore and that He gave up on me. I still question that. I know that if something like this were to happen to me, I would have gotten tired, ofc. I love God with all my heart, and I’ll do anything for Him. I try my best to not fall in, but it doesn’t work sometimes. I ask God for strength, it will only work for so long and I’m back to the normal. This time, I will go through with my promise. I’ll do my absolute best to become better for Him!❤️ please pray for me as I try to overcome this obstacle and try to become better.

Even I can say when I started to believe in Jesus life changed. But the devil is trying to ruin our faith. But Jesus had promise that He His with us. Brother don’t be sad, but even I feel I am doing wrong. When I share the gospel and get hated makes me feel like the hater, I might be doing it wrong but I pray God helps. I will fight the good fight of faith. Cuz Ik that if I go back it’s not even worth it. So brother be strong and courageous do not be frightened and dismayed for The Lord your God is with you where ever you go( Joshua 1:9) turn from your sins and repent. Cry out to God-tell Him how u feel much happier scream cry! Show how srry u re. And most of all Thank Him. Because He deserves all the praise. Trials may come but Glory is coming(eternal life). Today in school, I asked God to let me know if He is really with me and if He stills wants me. I come upon this video and the woman Becky is also, I fell like how I feel right now in my faith and walk with God. Been really confused lately about good and evil, like as if I'm hearing two voices in my head. I've also been confused about my stand with God and who He really is. I had this thought of me thinking that I hate God and Jesus and don't wanna serve Him anymore, but I don't believe those were my thoughts. Even bow as I am typing there's this voice telling me "they won't believe you", " don't do it". I don't know if anyone needs to see this to encourage them to continue in their walk with God. But I pray that God uses me as a vessel for his purposes. Yet though you slay me Lord, I will trust you. Even if you choose to use me like Judas, I will trust that Lord Jesus you are in control and I'm in your hands. Help my whole entire family and I and all believers around the world Lord, to stay in your Will, your Love, your Presence, your Word, and everything hat you are Lord Jesus fill us up with all of you till there is bone of us left. Even if that means breaking us apart again Lord, break us and repair us in the confidence of who we are in you Christ Jesus and in your Love. He is there for everyone of you guys, but NOT FOR ME. He is letting me slide closer and closer to doubt and unbelief and apostasy. I emailed askjohnpper my story. If I do not get any answers from John, I will kill myself in six months. Jesus's love for me ran out of gas. How could He have led me to Himself over a 35 year period, only to throw me away, when I renounced Him. He is Just, and I will kill myself because His love for me was not everlasting. He disappointed me. He even once whispered lovingly in my thoughts (BEFORE I got in this despicable situation), after I repented yet again, "You're not getting rid of me," and yet... HE LET ME GET rid of Him! Jesus never lies, but, in my case, how do you explain it? I thought I could sin sexually and then just ask for forgiveness later and everything would be good, but I was SO WRONG! Let me give you one step of advice. I learned that a "no" you will always have if you don't try, but a "yes" you can have if you try. Maybe God doesn't answer in 6 months but would have answeted in 7 months. Please don't give up, keep on fighting. It is hard and difficult but please don't give up. @@girlwithbible8070 Ok, but you need to pray hard for me. I am starting to get venomou sly angry at God. I have been praying and begging for 3 years. Kesus once really loved me, as if I was the only one who had His attention. I thought it would never end. Once He told me in my thoughts, so lovingly, after I sweetly and heartfeltedly repented of blaspheming Him (because He would not make me into a good-looking guy), I felt His loving thought as He immediately came back to me, as if nothing had happened to make Him leave, "You're not getting rid of me." The very thought that God has walked away from me for good... THe thought that His mind-blowing patience and love for me did not endure with hard-headed ME to the end... Filled me with terror, but this terror is turning to utter rage. I am sick and tired of feeling fear. There is a need for Jesus, but all this unbelief is now blocking me. The unconditional love I hear in these near death experiences is hollow to me, UNTIL SOMEONE MENTIONS JESUS, and my heart still leaps for joy at the mention of Hi Name. What? I feel like He is coming back into many lives at this time. I too have unwittingly or more likely consciously wandered so far away. Dear sister. Don't know if you will ever to read this but I just want to say from one sister to another. I have also been down a similar path in my own way. What pulled me out was knowing that God is always in control of every situation. So I went to him through his word(bible) and realized that I had strayed of the path and needed his word to get me back on track. Getting on your knees and praying with an outpouring of heart, just being real to him. And He is faithful and He will lead you to where He will reveal himself to you through His scriptures. Makes beauty from ashes, He says if someone loves more their parents, sons, spouses than me, they are not worthy of me or my kingdom, (paraphrasing). So I encourage you both beautify women to take this time to run! pursue that first love, I can not say I" know" but I understand your situation, I have lost loved ones, I can't tell you why He would take that away from you but I can assure you His plan is perfect! 2 months ago I was in that state. I think I'm doing better now, less scared more hopeful yet still have a problem with sin and feeling guilt. But its better now. Little steps of repentence and improvement of lifestyle to stop sinning. Turning away from sin needs to start from the heart, if u don't see it, believe its there and it will become flesh, little by little.
