The thing with Tai punching Red is that, although in Pokemon there is danger like criminal organizations and crazy cults there is no real sense that the trainers are in danger, cuz they always use pokemons to battle and it always feels like a game. In Digimon (At least in Tai's universe) there is constant danger in their journey, there is no competition or tournaments in there to demonstrate who is better trainer. The story is literally about 2 dimensions colliding and these kids trying to survive. (Other versions of Digimon even have digimons who kill or eat humans and other digimons lmao)

They actually were nicer to Pokemon than they should have. War grey on didn't need to come out, Metalgreymon would have been slight overkill. The only reason Charizard did so well was so it wouldn't end in a few seconds.

@@tickleinAnd mind you, this was only with Adventure information for digimon, with a heavy focus on the first anime. Granted, the theme for this one was between the 2 flagships of theses 2 ips. With this just being the tip of the iceberg for digimon for anyone green to it, and yes the power scaling between digimon and Pokémon is pretty wide margin.

Sorry to say but while DB played the fight out and made it entertaining, in reality it was a slaughter. Pokemon is just hopelessly outclassed in this matchup. Their heaviest hitters are in the general ballpark of ultimate level digimon. Wargreymon is a mega level, one above that and as such several magnitudes stronger. This man could give mega Rayquaza a wedgie and steal his lunch money. Then consider that wargreymon is basically the digimon equivlant of charizard, that being a fully evolved, popular, but very average digimon. You can't even try and use pokemon's big 4 from Sinnoh to tip the odds in pokemon's favor, because digimon's top heavyweights include such bangers as a being so large it has a galaxy in it and the equivlant energy of a big bang, a knight that can constantly replay time so it's attacks land instantly several thousand times per moment, a yandere zombie hydra that eat timelines and universes for breakfast, and Jesus(I'm not kidding, he's called Jesmon). Don't mess with Metal as fuck Tamagotchi.

Well, Mega Rayquaza would stand a chance, being a mega Legendary. But the average Pokemon will never match a Mega digimon. Legendaries could reach maybe the low to mid tier megas, but yeah. Wargreymon, in terms of power, can match legendary pokemon.

This wasn’t even slightly fair. Wargreymon scales directly to the Four Sacred Beasts. The Sacred Beasts uphold the space-time of the entire Digital World, an infinite multi-layered world with worlds(universes arguably multiverses) in the layers,that exists beyond the Network(multi-layered,6 layers/dimensions) and Human World, (your conventional infinite multiverse.)They're literally the pillars that keep the Digital World from collapsing. Like a bridge; destroy the pillars, and the bridge collapses. The bridge would be the Digital World, and it'll be collapsing onto a myriad of other worlds, resulting in a mishmash of worlds or a world of nothing but darkness/nothingness. Many worlds where mentioned for the Adventure Digital World alone. There is one world for each combination of cards. The kids use a card combo via the door in Vamdemon's castle wich led them back to the place they were when they were sucked in the Digital World. Oikawa used the same card combo but with the Agumon card instead of the Gomamon card making them end up in a different world, a world that materializes wishes. If you permutate the number of cards with the number of equivalent slates there are 362,880 possible combinations. And that's for the Adventure server alone. Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon also destroyed Apocalymon's physical form Apocalymon's mere existence warped the fabric of space-time creating distortions almost bringing the world to total destruction and we know that this would affect all worlds not just the Human and Digital Worlds The other worlds being: - The Dark Area (World of Darkness from which Devimon AND Apocalymon come from. Not inferior to the DW; basically the DW's Hell. Each DW has its own Dark Area. It's multi-layered, infinite and the deepest known layer, Cocytus, is shared by each Dark Area and Digital World. There's only one Cocytus. It can swallow both the Digital and Human Worlds) - The world that makes wishes come true from the end of 02. - The Dark Ocean. - The native World of Darkness of Demon. Demon comes from a different world of darkness compared to Devimon and Vamdemon And i didn't get into the Neoplatonic Emanationism stuff used by Kakudo for Adventure. Also the DW is not a single place. It's a multi-layered world. The layers are collections of worlds (universes arguably multiverses), have their own laws of physics and different time progression and because of the Neoplatonic emanationism stuff they have a higher dimension/lower dimension nature. There's a physical-metaphysical difference between the layers. The layers are big enough to encompass infinite multiverse (as seen with the Human World being confirmed as an infinite multiverse in Cyber Sleuth) Also because of the Neoplatonic emanationism stuff the Digital World is like a higher dimension to the Human World (conventional infinite multiverse via Cyber Sleuth.)

Digimon scales much higher than pokemon on average. But usually never focuses on that aspect. Wargreymon is just strong enough to get the job done against equally powerful or even more powerful threats by teamwork and resolve. He is kinda mid tier among megas. Being stronger than a decent amount of megas but no where near the top. Kinda like how Charizard is in pokemon. Perfect parallels but not equals.

@numberhunter62 That's just because stealth rocks are one of the least fair things to competitive pokemon ever. It literally took one of the best types for advantage and applied it as if it was using gravity spells in final fantasy based off the effectiveness chart
