disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress i.e filming and interrupting a ongoing investigation
@Ian-ev5tg3 жыл бұрын
@@elliotb7980 filming in itself cannot be classed as harassment alarming or distressing. According to the law its an extension of your eyes. So in a legal standpoint, under you reasoning, you could be arrested for looking at someone or something. Public order offences also only relate to physical situations and threats of violence. You cant be anti social by standing still with a camera. Otherwise the paparazzi would have been arrested and put a stop to a long time ago. Obstruction is also physical. You're not obstructing a police officer by filming. Only by physically getting in the way, or verbally interrupting them speaking to a suspect. He's stood well away from the officer and causing no obstruction whatsoever. If you think standing at a distance and filming is disorderly you must be a snowflake. Likely to cause alarm harassment and distress only means to a member of the public. The police in their official capacity can't use those as a personal feeling. For example of I'm swearing at a police officer, and no other member of the public is around. They can't arrest you under section 5 as the officer can't claim they were alarmed harassed or distressed by it. Same situation and 1 member of the public are around. The officer would need a statent from them to say they were alarmed harassed or distressed. If a crowd were there and could hear, only then is is reasonable to assume that some of them may be alarmed harassed and distressed. So get you law right before you comment on what you don't know

Yea, when he's known by police you think they'd watch their P's & Q's around him. Instead of trying to use personal info in dirty tactics. I hope AB complains about that aswel. Guy he's never met before starts spouting personal info? Nah not on.

As soon as the lad asked you to keep filming, I could tell a couple of things. He was genuinely scared of the police officer (even though he was acting tough), and that he did nothing wrong. Criminals hide in the shadows, the honest seek the light.

They were two non-white youths walking in a town centre so police arrest them. No report or crime or offence. This is the so called ``suspicious stop `` to improve community relations, the police claim it is to reduce crime. .

It gets me when she says go away you’re not helping the situation for who the police when they’re trying to falsely arrest someone lol You can tell they got bullied at school

They didn't falsley arrest them they didn't arrest them at all!! It was false detainment under suspicion of no crime just so they can search them, no grounds whatsoever, they also threatened to arrest AB on some trumped Public Order offence. If UK police becomes routinely armed God help us all!!

@Pat He thought I was stero typing the teenagers but I was talking about the cops in my previous comment which was "Nerves. Luckily not holding a gun.". The copper was nervous so good job he wasn't an armed officer.Having said that the armed police wouldn't have been as nervous as that cop.

Credit to you for recording this AB. Police knew as soon as they saw you filming they couldn't abuse their powers anymore hence why they wanted you to go away. Need to encourage more people to record the police and shame them for the poor serving they're doing.

I'm not one to get emotional but this video brought actual tears to my eyes. The absolute satisfaction of watching justice being done. These two young men would have been strung up on some bogus charge if AB had not intervened. This video shows the real power of citizen journalists. Well done, AB!!!
