If Adam is covering his ears for some of these cars, how do you think shoppers going for food and wash detergent feel about it? (Hint: they f'in hate it). It's this behavior that gets negative attention. I went to many car meets as a teen and never had trouble when everyone was quiet. If we wanted to do burnouts and explode a tire (or once someone's transmission by accident) we went to a deserted car park well away from anyone where the noise wouldn't be noticed. Our loudest moments were nothing like these open exhaust, flame spitting pop and bang cars.... And guess what, no cops. Anyone I knew who did get a talking to or a ticket from the cops did something dumb in a public space like a parking garage.

They can do whatever they want, its up to you to defend it in court which is expensive and time consuming. They know this, and they know they get the benefit of the doubt in court so they can literally do whatever they want. Policing needs huge reform, staffed mostly by power tripping losers who will do something like this.

Also in what part of UK law would I be required to prove my innocence? In this case the poster of the video could legitimately claim they were there as a 3rd party to document what is happening.

It's a shame that the people who attend these car meets aren't more hostile towards the minority who regularly go too far and ruin it. Obviously you can't stop these people attending but you can make them feel unwelcome. I'd suggest that the police would be much more tolerant if they knew that the local car community was intolerant of bad behaviour too.

I was driving to McDonald's after work in my low mile MK3 Focus ST. Copper was sat in the hatched area, lights off after a blind bend just after a roundabout, walked out in front of me and tried saying me dodging him by moving towards the curb was "careless driving". Got my double cheese burgers and coffee and sat down and caught up with a couple good friends, but yea, they take the piss and target anyone in any remotely "modified" or "nice" car

Another case of an area having a low crime rate then. The police need to learn to stop harassing people. An go out looking for criminals or sorting crime which is their job. It is not to harass people for meeting up in a location. Everyone at these meets need to report the police for wasting taxpayers money, to the local authorities.
