Such a sweet man very inspirational. I never forget messaging him when I had some problems at home . He actually wrote back to me and cared to answer back. His cooking has helped me deal with my problems.

Had the honor of Daddy Jack commenting on my Bolognese attempt..which turned out fantastic. I added mushrooms and sauteed them and the onions and garlic in bacon fat. I still can't believe he's gone. Cheers good sir! 🍻 and thank you!

Worth brining the chicken in seasoned buttermilk for a day before doing egg wash and flour dredge, will help the crispy outside expand and get that southern cooking flavor.

Aooowwwiee That hurts just thinking about it. Its wonderful to cook with, delicious as ingredient, but I can't fathom drinking it. I have tried... it ain't happening! Gimmie a chicken? I'll grab the buttermilk for a good long marinade with added pepper and garlic.. Now THAT is what buttermilk is for. Dredge and fry,... mmmmmm heavenly!

I worked in kitchens from the age of 16 to 23 this is how it is! my chef was a nutcase but I never had an interview after being schooled by him! I just mentioned he taught me (i never dared mess up his reputation and that was good enough ).
