Thank you so much for doing this work. Porn is extremely dangerous to our lives. Unfortunately my generation has to learn the hard way. Porn is our generation’s cigarettes. Luckily the danger is just our sex lives and not literally our lives. Porn isn’t worth it, you’re sacrificing your life for minutes of pleasure. I learnt that the hard way. Once again thank you for the information and support. You are changing peoples lives including mine and I appreciate and love you for that

Yes, but it not only damages your sex life, also your mental health and your general health too. Like when you dip in your hand into water for long hours and take it out to see the changes, a decade (or more) of porn addiction makes our brains so numb and dumb. It introduces you a different kind of world than you actually know, a world full of fetishes, taboos, humiliation, violence and more than a 100 genres which we never think they do exist. It is Called extreme weirdness. It takes you to a different world than what we actually went there for. Sex is good, yes it's really good but porn is not. Not at all.. My life used to be so good, though I used to Ma* without P*, until I started watching porn. Since the day I started watching it and until now, my life has drastically drained. I came to a point in my life, where it doesn't worth anymore. Women are wonderful, we need to have them in our lives just like we have that one best buddy in everyone's life but sex is not the sole purpose. I fucked up my life because of my perverted mind and high desire for sex. I talk like hell about it when I'm in no mood, but I'm always one slip away from going back to that whole shit again like nothing has happened. These wonderful doctors are real life savers to many. I wonder, if I can recover all the damage I done to myself Until now.

I agree with @Cairan on this. Congrats @Naz on your new milestone. Just bear in mind that recovery depends on how long you have been addicted for and how much damage you have caused to the brain. There are various supplements that you can take to help with the mood and concentration. I must admit that there are also many unknows for example the effect of previous unsuccessful reboot attempts on the brain reboot timeline. I intuitively think that it could have an effect too. Diet is a big thing as well and watch out for any addiction transfer. Too much sugar and caffeine can cause endless flatlines in my own experience.

I tried to quit 2 times for two years each, but then I just said “fck it” and went back to it, but lately I quit all that stuff since November. I think Im done for sure this time because I finally realized how bad it actually was for me and on top of that I have been spending literally hours or maybe even days reflecting on what I was looking at and doing and how it was affecting my life. So Im feeling like I don’t have the urge to go back cause I can see how it’s negative but you are totally correct about how it rewires your brain because I still see my thoughts going to these places that I now can see are a result of porn. Good thing is I can see slowly they are becoming less intense and troubling as I replace them with positive behaviors and thoughts.

There are lots of videos on here to help you get to sleep. Ambient White noise. Sleep music. Tons of variety. I like to listen to classical music playing on the radio in the next room so I can just barely hear it. I use the sleep timer so the radio cuts off hopefully after I fall asleep. Then I start a thunderstorm and rain sleep track on youtube that is just a little louder without completely grounding out the music coming from the other room. I grew up where rain pacific northwest and thunderstorms were pretty regular the Dakotas. If I can start winding down this can help me get to sleep. I also try to focus on good memories like catching a salmon on the beach or other positive event. Doesn't always work but it is an alternative.

Hello Dr. Leigh. You mentioned in one of your semen retention clips about living in certain cultures or religions and building a healthy masturbation practice. Could you elaborate on what certain cultures and religions you were referring to? Thank you.
@Tallz510 ай бұрын
I think I can help with that. I used to be a Christian and then went to other religions. Now, people think I am Christian or even a Muslim. My beloved definitely thinks I am a Muslim since I have Muslim habits. I will tell you this, though. Almost any religion except satanism tells you to be self taught and humble with your body. To be safe and disciplined. It really doesn’t matter what holy religion, because to me, they speak on the same things of “self control”. I once started to masturbate to help me fall asleep but it started getting addicting like anything you do repeatedly. I had to stop as I saw my hairline started falling back from me😂. Train your Brain to master and conquer anything you desire. Religions are trust teachings and you can find a good one but as I said before, it’s all on you. God Bless.
@shanescott404310 ай бұрын
@@Tallz5 I've been Satanic since the age of 23. I only practice semen retention so I'm not so awkward around women. If I have an urge and have to masturbate, I will. It isn't as if I will pass on a chance to sleep with a woman just because I want to retain my semen. There is "some" benefit to retention. I do high intensity weight training 5 days a week for about 45-60 minutes. I notice little difference whether I'm masturbating 5 times a day or once a month. If I'm getting my sleep, keeping my diet decent, and training in tact, I still have high energy throughout the day and next day. When I'm retaining, I am more social with women however, which is a good thing. I was doing things with girls at a very young age. I haven't had sex since I was 15. I'm 49, never been on a date or had a girlfriend. I'm slowly trying to change that. I'm a heterosexual male that chose to be single my whole life due to pre adolescence experiences. One last note, I go by the teachings of Antan Szandor Lavey. We are taught to live our lives to the fullest. However, we do realize there are earthy consequences. We don't sacrifice baby birds, drink goats blood, or throw rocks through our neighbors car windows. We are a peaceful religion. We live our lives by what is around us. Not by ridiculous pipe dreams from certain doctrines. Thank you for responding

Finally a non-KZbin-certified doctor addressing the correlation between sleep problems and masturbation! By the way, what's going on with me always getting the most sexually aroused the more tired I am, but can't fall asleep? That's stress, like what you're talking about, I imagine. But wherever I ask, they mostly act even surprised.

Hello, Dr. Trish Leigh. I have questions on a topic that I don't think you have discussed in your previous videos. It is something that I am rather annoyed by. It is not only me, but others are annoyed with this as well. 1. What do you think are the psychological reasons that men pay for and subscribe to a girl's onlyfans account? 2. Do you think onlyfans should be banned or illegal? 3. Is it fair in an already unfair system? I struggle to find jobs and there are stores of females making $35,000 to $100,000 per month using onlyfans. Why would any true male pay to watch some random girl when there are thousands of free porn videos on the internet? Does it make the male feel more personally connected? Do they have a predator nature when they view those girls? I am very confused. Personally, I think onlyfans should be removed immediately.

Just quit paying these young women. And stop abusing yourself. You’ll be better for it.

Totally off topic but can masturbating compulsively cause baldness?
@DrTrishLeigh3 жыл бұрын
It can. There is a relationship to hair loss. Another reason to leave the habit behind.

Psalm 119:97-104 Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, Because I keep Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word. I have not departed from Your judgments, For You Yourself have taught me. How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.
