As a kid growing up I was so naive and closeted that I thought that there were maybe a few DOZEN...or maybe close to a hundred gay people involved in printed and video gay porn. Business is extremely cutthroat. There is always civil war between Producers and Talent. Both sides secretly hate each other but need each other to make money. Producers job is to keep costs low and profits high. The Creatives job is to stay in shape and be camera ready at all times. So many porn stars are in the throws of mental decline and addiction that even if they were making bucketloads, the money would go up the nose or on useless crap. So many of the actors use the same one or two agents that don't care about them. This is why OF is a blessing. Pay the manager's 10 - 15% off the top to the platform and keep the rest from subscriptions. Work alone or with a small circle of people away from the junkie industry social scene and sleazy producers and learn about business the right way. That flat scene by scene rate is crap. The wear and tear on the body is too great for chump change. Unfortunately most porn stars are idiots who hate themselves and revel in vanity and misery. It is a sad, self defeating cycle. They die via suicide or stupidity in droves with nothing or noone around them.
