I have a 718 GTS 4.0, and it’s an incredible car. Subtle and soft enough for daily driving in all types of environments yet raw / sporty enough to rock your world. My prior two daily-drivers were a GT4 RS and a GT4, respectively, putting over 40k collective miles on them (yes, I daily-drove both of them… these cars were meant to be driven!). The GTS might be my favorite. I’ll never sell it.

Great video 🤓!!! Last year in February 2023, I acquired my new 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 which has the 4L NA flat six cylinder engine (same unit as a GT4) and a PDK gearbox. Power output (394 bhp) and torque (317 lb-ft) are a nice match to this car's sensible curb weight (~3200 lbs). The color is Gentian Blue metallic with a black/chalk all-leather interior and silver wheel rims. It's definitely an entertaining driver's car! So far, I've only done 819 miles but hopefully a lot more this next coming Summer! The PDK is also a lot of fun (it's definitely quick) 🤓 All the best and thanks again from Colorado! Excellent video, love this content!! One comment: 0-60 in 4 seconds is indeed impressive but I would suggest looking at 1/4 mile trap speed or 100-200 kmh time as better barometers of accelerative performance. 0-60 is heavily influenced by tire compound, whether a car has launch control, drivetrain layout (awd vs rwd vs fwd), and the ratio of 2nd gear. 0-60 is easily manipulated by manufacturers, and thus not a great “apples to apples” metric by which to compare cars. The 718 GTS 4.0 does 100-200 KMH in ~8.5 seconds which is staggeringly quick for a car with 394 HP. The 1/4 mile trap speed of >120 mph is equally impressive. Those are 997 turbo numbers.

I always use Clarkson's method of third gear, 300rpm and floor it. If it's got some go it'll go, if it's a dud nothing will happen.

Great review - 981 GTS NA 3.4L or 982 GTS NA 4L, get them while you can, both are superb "balance of performance" Porsche sports car.

I've read and heard from other Megane RS owners that the Cayman GTS is the next step up from a MegRS. Would you agree? So far as I can tell, you get similar weight, similar chassis, an extra 100hp and mid engine rear wheel drive.

@@jadomi2076 depends on budget really. The Cayman GTS is a big step up in value. A lot depends if you want to go straight from a FF to MR layout. I know two that have gone from Meg RS’s into the FR layout of a BMW M2. It really is personal choice dependent upon budget as there’s some great cars out there to enjoy. I personally kept my Meg RS (because I love a FF hot-hatch) but went with the M4 layout of a gen1 R8. Which ever route you choose there are great cars out there.

I don’t get the uneven audio. I’m using Rode wireless mics so should be clear
@hawaiirealmedia56102 ай бұрын
@@FastandFun Uneven audio means your volume levels are not equal. i.e. You are talking at one volume and your friend is less than half your volume. This can easily be fixed by correcting your friend's volume when you record and/or simply fix it on your computer later. If you don't do this listeners are more likely to not watch your show. It's like waxing your car but not fully buffing out one side of it. Go to 17:00 to hear what I am talking about.

I should get this inline 6 cylinders Cayman GTS 4.0 instead of another Cayman S. It is only US$50000 more! 😅

I love the Cayman, and considered one, but I need rear seats, and some boot space for transporting my music equipment. So as much as I want one, I bought an M2 instead. I absolutely love the M2, and think it is possibly an even prettier looking car, almost as capable, and with practicality advantages too. But, if I could afford to buy & run two cars, I'd have a Cayman.

An M2 is more of a wrestler. The 718 is a boxer.

@@nessuno5403 I'd say the M2 is an MMA fighter, as it can do multiple different tasks. The Caymen is technical Wing Chun expert.
