Really glad you are back to working on this. Great info on the wait times. A list of all the bits and pieces with prices would be a huge help. This is my next adventure. Fighting no start (no pulse at the injectors)at the moment. Runs on starter fluid fine! However it’s now been isolated to the LH unit. Sorry for the run on. Welcome back!

Thanks. The follow-up video I post will have the part numbers. Best of luck trouble shooting your car...no fun when its a non-start issue

A very handy video, I have most of the parts to do this job but some parts like the crank position sensor and the idle control valve I was unaware of so thankyou, I will source these. My 1987 runs very nicely at the moment but this will be done eventually.

This is very timely because I want to do this to my '88 S4 as well over the Fall/Winter. I've printed Dwayne's guide and started studying. Good to know I may want to get more of a lead time on some of the parts than expected. Do you have a complete list with part numbers of everything you purchased?

My 88 is due for this everything is working and idles great just cosmetic , do I dare ask the total $ for all the parts 😬 And Cps job scares me

The CPS took me well over 8-hours it was the "low-point" of this entire project. I hope yours is no way near as stubborn as mine. My '88 also ran great, it was the cosmetics on the intake that drove me crazy plus the fuel lines were all original and wanted to address/replace them. All in this cost me about $1200 incl. all the fuel lines.
