Just got over a bout of this PTT. Took 6 months with the lace up brace, walking with a cane, orthotics, physical therapy, and rest. Very very painful…still walk with a slight limp…but generally doing much better. The pain was nonstop for months. Do not neglect early medical intervention. It doesn’t go away without proper medical treatment.

Thank you for this video! I am finally being treated for this by an orthopedist. In my 10th month of pain during walking which I have always done a lot of . Now my crazy gait has caused my other knee to also be very painful.i use orthotics in my shoes and never go barefoot even in the house anymore I finally rested and iced my foot every day for the past 3 weeks. Riding a stationary bike now for exercise. Still painful if I walk , even painful riding my horse using stirrups. Next week’s appointment will get an ankle brace.

I have beaten posterior tibial tendonitis in 9 months! Read closely I am writing this because I would have died for someone to tell me this information when this first started when I though there was no way out. Now through all of these steps make sure to take Moringa, turmeric ,ginger and cocoa which are highly recommended for beating the inflammation (make sure to check with your doctor first to make sure these are safe for you to take 1st) and take collagen 1 and 3 preferably from green lakes or native path as well as tendoforte collagen from salt wrap or sparkling wellness which is a little cheaper. Now I was in agonzing pain with both ankles every time I would walk it literally felt like someone was shoving a staple through my tendon so it may depend on the amount of damage done with the time lapse needed on each step but I can only personally share my experience and if I would have done this the right way I probably could have healed a lot faster so here we go. Step 1. Relax your ankle for the first month to two always walk with a brace never unsupported as well as a shoe with a good orthotic always ( orthofeet reccomended) and ice to bring down infllammation I just shoved my foot in an ice bucket but any way is possible to help bring down the inflammation when walking supported gets noticeably easier its time for step 2.Step 2. once the inflammation stage starts to get better this is when stretching, rolling your legs and foot as well as taking longer walks comes into play but still always supported by an ankle brace or something just to keep you arch supported so the tendon can heal but take on a little pressure from the walking. Step 3. this should be at the 3 to 4th month time lapse once you are a professional at walking now comes strengthening a little bit more intensily with calf raises only off the ground I started with 5 the first day 10 the next until I finally made it to one hundred with out a problem from here you should be 65% improved if on any of these steps you do feel pain stop right away and go back to the earlier step you are not ready. Healing for me was a two feet ahead one step back process so be careful keep stretching and monitoring yourself. Step 4. Now when calf raises get easy start to use lotion and give your tendon a deep massage to tear up the tissue I would recommend watching a video on this first then as soon as soon as you are done walking or calf raises need to be done because the whole idea is that you are breaking up the scar tissue with the massage and realigning it with the exercise.Also start to motion your foot in a circle 5 times each way to improve mobility. By now you should be on month six and 85% better now its time for the final step. Step 5. Now at this point you should be more able to walk with out a cast unsupported not is when I started using the theraband I would point my calf down with the band on the ball of my foot and pull it in start with the weakest band start 5 then next day ten and until you can hit twenty then fifty by now you should be at almost 100%. Things to not do do not use n said cream I did this and luckily stopped and found out later it actually weakens the tendon long run. If your foot starts breaking down like all the tendons in my foot did stretch and stick in a bucket of ice every night eventually won't have to but from steps 2 to 4 this was a nightly ritual. Subliminal and mprphic fields may help speed up the process as well I definitely recommend sapien medicine for the fields. Like I said this can be done in a good amount of time if done right. Any question feel free to ask Good luck!

Exactly what I've been dealing with! Suffered for a year, it eased up with an insert, until I broke my opposite ankle to smithereens, major surgery. When I had to rely solely on that fragile side it flared up again. Now I have this problem in both ankles. I'm a nurse too on my feet all the time. I'm looking for exercises to improve function without causing further damage.

I've been nursing this injury for a while. As a long distance runner, the marathon, my daily traiining runs are in the 5-7mi. range. So after injury I stopped running until the pain went away., which has taken way longer than expecrted. I have been extremely cautious about returning to running. As an NASM CPT I have the knowledge for things like rehab and as I have been returning to running, which started with walk a half mile, then run a half mile.. at more of a "double time" march pace (yes I'm a vet). I chose that pace just to reintroduce my body to the stimulus that running brings to the body. I notice during thee run just a little pain, on a scale of 1 to 10, a 1. Once I start feeling that, I would adjust my foot mechancis during the run, be it how I lean into it, or the extension of the leg for my stride. I really listen to the bio feedback my body gives. I did that run 3x a week, every other day, and now i'm up to running the whole mile at the same pace for 3x a week. I monitor tenderness after and the following day. The only time I really feel pain is when I first wake up. So my quesion is... why after sleeping for 8hrs, is that tendon stiff first thing? I Notice that while laying on my back and raising my knee so my foot is flat on the bed, that if I let it rest there for maybe 30sec. the pain goes away. I am just wondering if that pain is stiffness, and if so, will that eventurally go away, or just be something I need to live with? Thank you for reading my long post and question.

I'm a 25 year old girl that has played sports almost all my life and in the past year I sprained my right ankle while playing soccer. I did physical therapy for three weeks and then played a soccer game while it was still bruised. I never rested, ran miles after miles for 7 months until I could not walk anymore. Because I put more weight on my left leg, now both feet are hurting. From what I feel, it feels like I have messed up my nerves on both feet. I took an X-RAY and everything came back normal. I took an MRI and it shows my posterior tibial tendon is abnormal. I have been doing exercises for the nerves, but I notice that the tendon gets irritated when I do those exercises, and when I do exercises for the tendon, my nerves act up. I've been dealing with this pain for a year and six months. Im afraid I'm not doing the correct exercises or going in the right steps. I'm not sure to focus on the nerves first or the tendon or both at the same time or what exercises to do first for each problem. I've been to several doctors and I haven't gotten the help I need. What can I do?

Hello Man , it’s been 5.5 weeks since my grade 2 sprain, last 2 weeks I ve been working on my range of motions by light exercises and the range is 85%, I also started walking in a brace recently but I feel pain on the inside of the foot, although I twisted my leg outwards. My question is - wtf is this? Why it hurts on the inside if it’s not there the injury was? Can it be just the fact that my ligaments lost their “mobility” in my 1 month of resting and now that I walk, I just “overwork” them? Like they are not in shape and that’s why it hurts. What should I do? Just continue walking and it will go always by itself? Since by all predictions I should be fine after that time, my x-ray is clean.

I have good feet arch supports. I’ve had them for years. I have all these symptoms while using my supports. I stairclimb for exercise which I think brought on this pain. The pain has been in my foot for a month now. Not sure what I did?

Hello doc, it’s been 5.5 weeks since my grade 2 sprain, last 2 weeks I ve been working on my range of motions by light exercises and the range is 85%, I also started walking in a brace recently but I feel pain on the inside of the foot, although I twisted my leg outwards. I’m 19

Sprained my ancle, had pain on the outside. Once sprain washealed I noticed pain on the inside. had it for 9 months despite rehab.. this shit will stay for a bit if its the same as I've got

@@oJackOfSpades man my pain on the inside went away in 2 weeks. The key is - stretches! And do warm ups with rolls and massage ball - whole leg!!
@Boof.12 жыл бұрын
@@RedRumble14 I’m in the same exact situation I think man. I’m also 19 too lol. Sorry if that sounds weird but I was looking at your comments on other videos too. But did you have swelling still around the lateral malleolus after all the other swelling went down. The swelling there for me right now is harder than the swelling of my whole foot. And I feel like my mobility has decreased even though the swelling has gotten significantly better around my whole foot. Give me any info on your sprain like the first 2 weeks of it too, I would greatly appreciate it.
@RedRumble142 жыл бұрын
@@Boof.1 the swelling can still be present on the injured spot for up to 4 moths. Mine decreased dramatically in first week, but never gone away a fully. It takes time. As far as mobility - do light exercises if u feel comfortable. I started with pointing my foot forward and back, then to the sides. Then slowly go to calf ups. And the key to recovery for me was light stretches! Now it’s been almost 3 months and I walk normally but still feel minor pain every day, I can’t run fast yet, but it’s gonna be better with time. My point is - once the initial inflammation is gone, start doing light exercises( but they shouldn’t cause any pain) then start walking and doing other exercises. In my case I rested for 1 month which perhaps was too much and resulted into my foot loosing its condition so I had to gradually increase the load and fight fatigue If you have grade 1-2 sprain, u will feel better soon, I remember myself checking peoples stories about this injury in the comments and thinking that my case is bad and I won’t recover, yet it all became ok soon. I’d say u should be able to walk after 4-6 weeks in case of grade 2. But in the very early stage u better immobilise the ankle and don’t put any pressure on it so it heals faster

@@RedRumble14 bro, thank you so much. I have been looking for comments of similar situations and overreacting. I’m like 2 weeks in so I’m just now being able to start all my rehabilitation, appreciate you. I did make the mistake of walking like the 3rd day and paid for that the next morning 😆. Thanks again!

Hi I wanted to know what kind of injection. Numbness ?
@sachinasubba62354 жыл бұрын
I have been visiting the physiotherapist for 2 years now. Started with tingling and pain on my back right down to my legs. Then I developed some bubble like (nerve or muscle knot sorta) on my back. Towards the end of last year I got a pain in my ankle and my xray shows an extra navicular bone. The pain is from my shoulder (back right side) down to my feet. There is also a knot like in this region. It’s not that painful but more umm... numb, uncomfortable. I went to an orthopedist. He told me it’s fibromyalgia and prescribed me some medicine. Didn’t help me at all. I’m not convinced with the diagnosis.It causes more trouble if i lie down too much. What would your diagnosis be ??

Thanks for the video. Going through this for last 3 months. I m scared after reading that people are living with it for few years. What kind of injection did u mention? Is there a solution to it other than constantly managing it and fearing it? I m a runner, my life is on hold because of this. Please reply.

You should definitely meet with an orthopedic foot specialist Rupali. There are all kinds of options for treating this, but the most important thing is getting a proper diagnosis.

@@kuldeeprane9144 I used a roller to massage the tendons at least twice a day. Also found that my calf muscles were very tight, so I massaged them too. The cause was me stepping down out of my lifted truck.

I'm having extreme pain when bearing weight on the inside of my foot and into my inner arch. My pain is in the exact middle of my foot and in the arch closest to the ball of my foot. Could this still be Posterior Tibial Tendinitis or is it out of the area for that pain? I have no pain when pointing my toes only flexing backwards. And it often feels like something is catching on the inside side of my foot. #orthoevalpal

I have been wearing an Aircast boot for 4 weeks. I was told I can try going without it starting tomorrow. I need to get orthotics but haven't gotten them yet. I also have flat feet. I am thinking I should maybe wear a brace until I get my orthotics? Is that common practice?

Oh do I have questions 2 to 3 years with this. Hx of plantar fasc. Wore orthotics in a neutral shoe. Pain got worse over time in fasc so I stopped by wearing good shoes. Started walking for a marathon training and this lit up at 18km. Had to stop walking. Also a crossfit attendee and tore the posterior horn of the left (same side)medial meniscus doing box jumps (go cocky cause the ankle improved. I now no longer do box jumps nor skip bu I row ride and swim. Occasionally I run 1 mile if I feel really good. I'm on my feet all day. I walk my 10000 to 20000 steps to and from work. Interestingly the walking causes such pain but it's worse when I stop and for hours. Calf raises and medial twist isolating the left glute do help. It's really passing me off. My weight is increasing a lot. I went to the running room and got some nb 840 on recommendation with superset. . I'm listening to your video walking to work and as soon as I get off the bus and start my walk it lights up. It's better on the hills, it's better if I focus on turning my toe down which I do because I blade walk unintentionally. I'm getting pain in my right big toe today like turf toe. Do I need an mrii, better shoes, a rest, stretches. What is my malfunction?
