Yes, like many of the Indo-Caribbean dishes it originated from India. However, it was brought specifically with the Madrasi community to Guyana. Foods like wadda, dosa, multani soup, and kanji rice are of the Madrasi community. I've been looking for a decent recipe for some time now so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Real nice Guyana I missed a couple of your shows recently because my husband suffered a cardiac arrest ( heart attack), and after surgery and eight days hospital stay is doing well. It turns green when kept in the fridge. That is caused by a chemical reaction with rhe garlic and water. It is harmless. We are only using fresh garlic to avoid this now.
