Yes, like many of the Indo-Caribbean dishes it originated from India. However, it was brought specifically with the Madrasi community to Guyana. Foods like wadda, dosa, multani soup, and kanji rice are of the Madrasi community. I've been looking for a decent recipe for some time now so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

☺I think what I meant to say is that that one specifically is not popular in Guyana, I can't ever remember seeing that in Guyana at any time. I know the Vada Pav is a popular snack ( not in Guyana).

It turns green when kept in the fridge. That is caused by a chemical reaction with rhe garlic and water. It is harmless. We are only using fresh garlic to avoid this now.

Real nice Guyana I missed a couple of your shows recently because my husband suffered a cardiac arrest ( heart attack), and after surgery and eight days hospital stay is doing well. Will need one month or so rest for full recovery.There were no symptoms prior, so all men, for fathers-day, do your self a favor and get a general checkup, you never know!
